“What’s wrong, Stefan?” Stella asked.
This was a very different Stefan than they were noticing today. Even though Sarah was behaving a bit stubbornly today but Stefan knew how to take care of her.
Stefan sighed and said, “Stella, being desperate to coax Sarah, I have promised her that I will cook Mexican Tacos by myself for her. It’s especially for her.”
Everyone started laughing, seeing Stefan’s helpless face again, he was irritated but said nothing because it was all for Sarah.
“No problem, Stefan, I will teach you how to cook Mexican Tacos,” Stella said.
“Oh, that’s so sweet of you, Stella. Alright, I will be right back after getting freshen up and getting rid of these,” Stefan said excitedly, showing the shopping bags in his hand, and climbed the stairs fast.
Listening to the loud sound of laughing, Valerie also came out of her room and Amy made an ugly face at seeing her.
“What’s going on? I heard some laughing sounds, just now?”
Valerie walked towards Julia and asked considerately because she had seen the disliking for her in Stefan’s mother’s attitude.
“Nothing, we were just laughing over Stefan’s foolishness.”
Just then Stefan came down after organizing his wife’s wardrobe, if he couldn’t do it now then she would start doing it which he didn’t want her to.
Stefan came to Stella and said earnestly, “Stella, let’s move fast, we have very little time in our hands.”
Valerie was somewhat shocked to see Stefan like this, who was actually looking frightened of something. The Stefan whom she knew back in the past was never scared of anything. “What’s wrong, Stefan, you are looking tense?”
Stefan sighed again before answering. “Ahh, it’s like to pacify Sarah when she was so adamant to eat on the street, I have promised her that today I will cook Mexican Tacos on my own for her. Now when she will wake up and didn’t get her Mexican Tacos in front of her, she will turn not only my life in fact the entire palace upside down with her anger.”
“Oh……..” Valerie wasn’t able to say anything but was bewildered that a person can change so much.
Stefan stepped into the kitchen and for the first time in his life, he was trying to cook something. His mother, aunt, and sister-in-law are also helping him.
Valerie saw them from afar, then moved towards them and asked, “Shall I also join you, people?”
“No, Valerie, you have still not recuperated well, I can’t let you work in my home. Please take a rest, we all will take care of it.” Julia refused Valerie’s request politely with her face hung down, but she nodded.
“Alright, then I will sit here, it’s too boring to sit alone in the room the whole day.” Valerie pointed towards the small dining chairs in the kitchen, pulled a chair, and sat down.
It was fun to see the city’s topmost businessman working in the kitchen, cooking for his wife, even though he knows nothing about cooking.
Stefan sighed finally his work was almost done, and he was about to serve it on a plate but before that, they all heard a loud sound that pierced everybody’s ear and made Stefan tremble in fear. What’s worse for a thief than being caught red-handed. Stefan is like a thief and it was chief Sarah’s raid.
“Stefan Walter, your cheater, you liar, you dare lie to me. I hate you.”
Sarah not only had woken up before Stefan could complete his cooking, but she came down and saw Stefan was taking other’s help for making Mexican Tacos for her. It was like breaching the promise.
Obviously everybody was startled but for Stefan. he hits his forehead while mumbling, “Everything has gone down the drain.”
All the ladies covered their mouths and giggled.
“Angel, please listen to me.” Stefan walked towards Sarah hurriedly and tried to hold her hand, but she jerked it.
“No, I won’t talk to you, you breached your promise.” Sarah turned her face.
The giggle sounds increased seeing Stefan requesting in front of Sarah. She turned and glared at everybody sharply and was about to go when Stefan held her wrist and pulled her towards him. Sarah struck him at his chest, she was wiggling and was about to yell at him but before that Stefan picked her up in his arms and walked out of the kitchen.
Stefan forcefully made her sit on a chair near the dining table, he sat on the opposite chair in front of her and clasped her hand so that she could not try to run.
“Angel, please listen to me first.”
Stefan called to her politely, but Sarah turned her face. Stefan cupped her face and turned it towards him.
“Angel, I was the one who cooked Mexican Tacos for you, they all were just helping me.”
Sarah again got angry and jerked his hand from her own and yelled. “But why did they help you? You had promised that you will cook for me on your own.”
“Sarah, I don’t know cooking and this is the first time I was going to cook for you and I didn’t want it to be so disastrous that you won’t be able to eat that. That’s why I asked them to only instruct me so that I can make a perfect and delicious Mexican Tacos, as you would like to eat.”
Sarah smiled sheepishly. “Oh, if that was it, then why didn’t you tell me before?”
“My little devil, did you listen to me before? You just attacked me with your silver sword-like tongue.”
Sarah realized that she had overreacted just now, she pouted in guilt and held her ears. “Sorry.”
“It’s alright, now let it go?” Stefan removed her hands from her ears.
The ladies came out of the kitchen and the servants behind them, holding the food tray with Mexican Tacos.
“Sarah, now don’t get angry and smile. See, your husband has cooked wonderful Mexican Tacos for you, enjoy it, darling.” Amy said.
They all started having Mexican Tacos cooked by Stefan and with that Stella and Amy were sharing Stefan’s first experience in the kitchen, which was a bit quite funny.
Just then, the gents too came there and joined the Mexican Tacos party. Sarah had plenty of it and smiled wholeheartedly after finishing it.
“Stefan, thank you so much for such a lovely feast of tacos and sorry once again about the morning.” Sarah was feeling guilty for irritating Stefan to that extent.
Stefan knew Sarah had done nothing intentionally, she has been suffering from her mood swings. And said, “Sarah, it’s all right I can understand your problem.” He hugged her, and she, too, reciprocated.
All adored their love except for Valerie, who was confused once again and went from there hurriedly.
Valerie’s heart was again sore from seeing such a close relationship between Stefan and Sarah.
“God, why are you playing with my life? If Stefan is not in my destiny, then why are you giving me a ray of hope? Why you let me think that Stefan could be mine in the future?” After a pause of a minute, she again started saying. “Now it’s enough I can’t take it anymore. Tomorrow I will move out from here, forever.”
Someone was passing through the corridor and had listened to Valerie’s crying sound and thought to check on her and unintentionally eavesdropped on her conversation with her god.
The person really felt bad for her and thought. “Valerie, I can understand how it pains when our first love becomes someone else’s in front of our own eyes.”
