Lana Castroff
I couldn't express how happy I am being back in his arms. He's really the best thing in life and I wouldn't trade him for anything in this world. I never even thought about him choosing me, I thought he would bluntly just end everything.
He told me that he couldn't sign the divorce paper, we ripped it together last night.
"Good morning." I kissed his cheek to wake him up. He opened his eyes and smiled.
"Why.. are you dressed up?" He asked as he pulled me back to bed.
"I have to work again." I said and he held me tightly in his arms.
"Wake up, sleepy head. I made you breakfast downstairs." I wiggled out from his arms and tried to pull him out from the bed.
"Phoenix!" I hissed and Phoenix glared at me.
"I'm the boss, I don't want to work today and you should too." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"I will count to three. One.. two.." He got up instantly and he walked to the bathroom immediately. I walked downstairs and made my own coffee because I really need to start my morning with it.
As I'm waiting for Phoenix to come down, I read news on my iPad and checked my email. I'm actually excited to go to work today even though there will be a lot of changes after my father's death.
I heard Phoenix walking down and I turned to the stairs to see him wearing a suit. He smiled to me and gave me a peck on my lips.
"We should get lunch together later on." He said as he sat down. I gave him his avocado toast and I nodded.
"Sure, I'll go to your office then.." I said and he nodded. He started eating his avocado toast and I couldn't take my eyes off him.
"We should have our wedding ceremony." I almost choked on my coffee when he said that. He turned to me nodding and I looked at him disbelief.
"We've been married for months. We should do it."
"I don't think it's necessary, Phoenix." I said because I'm okay not having a ceremony.
"I want to. We should plan our wedding." I was speechless. For me, it was enough to be with him. I love him and having him around was enough. He sacrificed a lot already and I don't want to make him do things that he doesn't like.
It's been a week since Dean went to me asking me to go back to Phoenix. I'm happy and I can see that Phoenix was happy as well but he's not been himself lately. He told me that he might have a little bit of stress because of his routine with the ILLICIT.
I felt guilty because I was the reason that he left. He chose me and I'm really thankful for that. I triednto get in contact with Dean but it seemed he blocked my number. It was an end game for me because I don't know other members.
Adrian might be a member but I'm not really sure. He just seems to be close with Dean but I can't just come out and ask him. I don't think it will be a good idea.
"Let's have our wedding in a month, what do you think?" Phoenix asked and that burst my bubbles of thoughts. I turned to him raising my eyebrows.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure, one thousand percent." He smiled and I nodded. I got up from my seat and gave him a big hug. He got up and hugged me tighter.
"I love you so much." I said and Phoenix kissed the top of my head. I know he's not ready to say it yet but I know he loves me. He won't leave ILLICIT if he doesn't and I'm so grateful for that.
"The toast is so good, thankyou." He said as he pulled back. I cupped his face and kissed him slowly. He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Oops.. got my lipstick on you." I said as I rubbed my lipstick off his lips. He kissed my cheek and I let him finish his toast while I put my iPad into my bag. I finished my coffee and we both go straight to work.
"Ms. Castroff, you got a package." My secretary said once I got out from the lift. I took the box from her and walked into my office. When I saw who's the sender, I was shocked. It's from ILLICIT and I quickly opened the box to see what's inside.
There's a small black box inside and an envelope. I opened the envelope first.
Dear Lana Castroff,
We, ILLICIT members, want to give you this for you and Phoenix's safety purposes. We might not end on good terms but Phoenix was a part of us at some point. In the black box, there's two small black buttons. It's an emergency alert for us, you can carry or attach it anywhere you want. It will send us signal if you press it.

I smiled seeing the letter and I opened the small box. There's two small buttons that I could attach and put it in my bag if something happens. I wish I could thank them one by one but I think it's quite impossible.
My phone rang all of the sudden and it's Phoenix.
"Hello."
"Lana, uhmm I kinda told my mother about us going to have the wedding ceremony and she's.. on your way to your office." Phoenix said and I chuckled.
"She's excited huh?"
"She might be dragging you to the wedding dress shop as soon as she get there." Phoenix sighed.
"It's okay, I'll be glad to go shopping with your mother."
"Call me if you need help, she's crazy." I laughed at his statement.
"Sure thing, babe. I'll see you at lunch."
"Uhmm.. okay."
"I love you." I said and ended the call.
