Phoenix Sterling
I gave Lana a month for her to heal and I gave myself 2 weeks to get back up after having a downfall for leaving ILLICIT. It wasn't easy at all leaving ILLICIT.
I found myself driving towards the headquarters then I realized that I'm not a part of them anymore. I took a big U turn and ended up pulling up on the side of the road thinking about my decision.
Not only that, I found myself looking at their contacts. My hands were itching so bad to call them but I can't. It's a close case when I decided to leave.
3 days ago, Dean's men brought all of my stuff from my headquarters office. That slapped me again, it was the end of me being in the ILLICIT. None of them text me or call me to convince me to go back.
Some nights I regretted my decision but some nights I didn't. It was a really weird roller coaster ride.
I looked out the window of my penthouse and it was a thundering storm. I turned off all the lights and just sat there looking at the rain blankly. I was so lost. I couldn't even think straight with what's going on in my life right now.
When I was about to take my glass of wine, the door bell rings. I turned to my door completely confuse who would come to my house this late? I got up and walked towards the door.
I opened the door and my eyes widen to see Lana. She hugged me the second that she saw me and she cried. I was still in shock that's why I still couldn't react to her standing in front of my penthouse.
"I've missed you." She said with a soft tone and that's when it hits me. I thought it was a dream but it's not. I hugged her tighter and buried my head to her neck inhaling her sweet scent that I really miss.
"I heard.. from Dean that you left ILLICIT." I pulled my body away from her and looked at her confuse. Dean.. revealed himself to Lana?
"He's the one who brought me here, you should see him." Lana said and I found myself nodding. I got into the lift and went downstairs straight to the lobby.
It makes sense because Lana won't be able to go up without any access card unless someone have it. The only person who has my key was Dean. When the lift arrived at the lobby, I ran out and found Dean walking towards his car outside of the lobby.
"Dean!" I ran out and called him. He turned to me and gestured to me to stop running towards him.
"Thankyou!" I said loud enough for him to hear since it's raining so hard outside. Dean didn't answer me and he opened his car door. Before he got in, he turned to me and he sighed.
"I'm sorry and thankyou." I said in a loud voice hoping that he would answer me even though it's a curse or some good words but none. He got into the car and drove away. I know from that moment that it will be hard for me to see him.
I hurt him.. because I swore that I will never leave him and the boys but I ended up leaving. I promise myself that I will stick around and watch them as close as I can.
I stayed there for a few minutes before going back upstairs. I was heart broken and happy at the same time. When I got back to the penthouse, Lana hugged me so tight. We both don't need any words to describe our feelings with each other.
We need each other and that's enough.
"I miss you." I said as I cupped her face. She smiled as she wiped her own tears. I gave a peck on her lips and she hugged me again.
"I love you so much, a month was enough." I froze hearing that word. It was weird but weird in a good way. We stayed like that for quite some time until she pulled away.
"You.. didn't shave." She said as she touched my long beard. I nodded and sighed.
"I was a mess."
"I know." She smiled.
Lana Castroff
When I heard a knock on the door, I was nervous. I opened it up and it's two man standing in suits. I looked at them completely confuse but they introduced themselves as Dean Alessandro's men.
One of them gave me their phone and it was Dean on the line.
"Hello."
"Pack your things and go back to France." He said in a cold tone and I was confused by his statement. Why is he saying that? I thought he wants me to stay away from Phoenix.
"Why?"
"Phoenix left ILLICIT 2 weeks ago and I suggest you to come back. He's not doing well with himself." I could feel the pain in his voice.
"But.. I thought you want him to stay."
"It's not my choice, it's his. Come back to France, we have to talk before you go back to Phoenix." He said and ended the call. I gave the phone back and they offered me some help to pack up my stuff.
Dean prepared his private jet and I flew back to France. Since it was a short flight, it's making me nervous. Not only that but it's raining so heavily in Paris. The weather was gloomy but my heart is excited.
I can't wait to see Phoenix again but the thought of talking to Dean is making me nervous.
When I arrived at the airport, one of Dean's man told me that Dean's already waiting in the car. He has a lot of guards and it scared me a little bit. I got into the car and Dean told his chauffer to drive. He closed the window between us and the chauffer.
"Phoenix left ILLICIT 2 weeks ago and he chose you." He said and again.. I could hear that he's hurt by Phoenix's decision. I was surprised either by Phoenix's decision. I never thought he would pick me, I thought ILLICIT is his everything.
"I know that he's giving you time to heal but he's not himself these days. Go check on him." Dean said as he looked out the window.
"Thankyou, Dean." I said and sincerely mean it.
"Take care of him, if you dare.. to hurt him by any means.. I'll kill you." He said and I smiled.
"Don't worry, I will. I love him.. so much." I said and Dean turned to me.
"Good."
"You know.. you still can hangout with him." I said and Dean laughed sarcasticly.
"ILLICIT doesn't work like that, Lana. Once you're out, you can't go in again. He won't be able to communicate with other members either, so.. it's easy for you to say that but no." I was shocked. I never knew that Phoenix's decision will affect him like this.
"But he.. loves you all even though I don't know who the members are."
"Not anymore, that's why you should take care of him. I won't be easy for him, if you don't.. I'll send you to hell."
"I promise, I will take care of him."
