Lana Castroff
I walked into the ballroom where the charity auction was held and I tried to smile to some people that I know. One of the staff asked me for my auction number and she led me towards my table. I sat down and started to look around.
Phoenix will definitely enter the scene sooner or later but I'm not going to focus on him tonight. I want to focus on Julie, I want to know what is her next move. I looked around and saw Finn talking to some people but I couldn't find Julie.
Don't tell me that she's not here.
The event started and they presented the first painting. I decided to go to the restroom as I observed people around. I bumped into someone and turned to see Phoenix.
"Hey.. where are you going?" He whispered.
"Restroom." I said and he gave me a nod before letting me go. I walked out from the ballroom towards the restroom when I saw Julie currently calling someone. I quitely walked towards her and tried to listen to her conversation.
She was talking in another language that I couldn't understand. I decided to record it and tried my best to keep hiding. I noticed her walking away and saw her going back into the ballroom. I sent the recording to my PI right away and ask him to find someone who could understand the language.
I walked back to the ballroom and saw Julie sitting with Finn. They're being lovey dovey when Julie was clearly cheating on him with my own father. I really want to know her motive because she's not making any sense. Finn is richer than my father of course and Phoenix is crazily rich but why isn't she try to be with Phoenix?
I walked back to my seat and sighed. I turned to see Adrian sitting on the seat beside me. He smirked at me and I chuckled.
"You're sitting here?" I asked.
"Yeah and this event is so boring.." He said and it was weird to see someone like him in this charity event. I never saw him in any other event because he will always have his own representative. Phoenix actually never participates in events like this before that's why I didn't recognize him at first.
Phoenix and Adrian will always belong to the richest of the rich. They're so crazily rich that they will always have representative instead of coming to an event themselves.
"Do you have any plans after this?" Adrian asked and I raised my eyebrows.
"What do you have in mind?"
"We could have a drink, I own a bar." He said and suddenly my phone vibrated. I took it out from my clutch and it's Phoenix.
Don't even try to hangout with Adrian, I will kill him.

"He's just possessive, he hates sharing." Adrian commented and I was quite surprised that he knew it was Phoenix.
"Maybe some other time." I said to him and he nodded. He got up from his seat and walked away. I turned to see where he's going and he ended up walking out from the ballroom with his guards.
After the event ended, we have a small party between the guests. They served fine wine, champagne and even some food. I walked around mingling with other people try to not be suspicious as I watch Julie from afar.
"Mr. Chauvin." I turned to see Phoenix joining the conversation.
"Mr. Sterling." I greeted him politely.
"Ms. Castroff."
"How are you young boy?" Enzo Chauvin hugged Phoenix tightly and he was so happy to see Phoenix.
"Very good, Mr. Chauvin. How about you? I see that you're still live fishing huh?" Phoenix teased him and Enzo chuckled nodding.
"I'm so good, never feel old. Fishing is that one thing that makes me happy so I tend to do a lot of it. You should try it too Lana!" He turned to me and I smiled.
"I wish I could do it but I'm so impatient at waiting." I said jokingly.
"Phoenix here.. is really good at fishing. We made a bet once and he won me by one fish.. one!" Enzo said and the both of them laughing with each other remembering their memories together. It was a rare sight to see Phoenix laughing like that.
"Mr. Chauvin, you have a call. It's your wife." His secretary said and he gestured us to continue talking. He left the scene and my eyes started to roam around again.
"Leave it to me, just enjoy the event." Phoenix said in a small tone and I turned to him.
"Fine." I said and he walked away from me. I kept mingling with people as I observed on Julie. She was always with Finn and Finn kept introducing her to a lot of people. Not ordinary but hella rich people.
I really want to grab her hair and shave it. I hate her with all my heart and when I have the chance to give her a lesson, I will take shaving seriously. I should but a shaver tomorrow.
As I was about to find Phoenix, my eyes landed on him talking to a couple of women. One of them has her arm around his hips and even laid her head to his shoulder. They kept looking at him like he's a meat or something and I don't like it.
I drank my champagne in one shot and put the glass randomly on someone else's table. I checked the time and I should have accepted Adrian's invitation to have a drink. I took out my phone and dialed Adrian's phone number.
"Yes, my lady?"
"I'm so up for a drink." I said as I made my way towards the exit door.
"I don't think you should." Adrian said and I stopped right before I reached the door.
"Where are you going?" I turned to see Phoenix raising his eyebrows to me.
"I have things to do, hope you do a lot of charity tonight." I said coldly to him and walked out from the ballroom. Why am I pissed? Why am I mad? God, it must be fucking Julie. She spoke another language and I can't figure it out.
