Lana Castroff
I walked out from the bathroom and I saw Phoenix already sleeping on the bed. He made a line with the pillows so I could sleep on the bed too without being touch by him. I closed the bathroom door slowly and decided to go out to the porch that's facing the sea to read a book instead of going to sleep right away.
Phoenix didn't even change his clothes. He must be so tired.
I walked out to the porch with my book and started reading. I love reading and hearing the sea at the same time. It's really calming. My eyes started to get heavy and I ended up falling asleep.
"Lana.." I opened my eyes slowly.
"Hmm?"
"Get up and let's have breakfast. My parents already waiting for us." I got up in a speed of light and walked to the bathroom immediately. I took a quick shower and put on my bathrobe. I walked out and opened my luggage. I walked back to the bathroom and put on a sunscreen all over my body and face. Then I put on my bikini and top it on with a summer dress.
"Let's go." I said as I took my phone from the charger port and put it in my bag. I turned to see Phoenix closing his laptop. He got up and gestured me to go out first.
I walked out from the villa and waited for Phoenix as I fixed my sandals. I took out my sunglasses from my bag and pulled my hair into a bun.
"Let's go." Phoenix grabbed my hand and we walked towards the main hotel to have our breakfast.
"You fell asleep on the chair outside last night, it freaked me out not seeing you on the bed." He said and I chuckled.
"I love reading books so.."
"You should have read it inside, it's chilly outside."
"I will next time."
We saw his parents waving at us and we walked faster. We decided to sit together and eat breakfast together.
"Lana, you know that we're going to have a vacation here for a week right?" His mother asked and I nodded.
"Yes, Phoenix told me." I nodded.
"We were looking for you both last night and we found playing around at the beach." His father said and Phoenix nodded.
"She loves the sea so.. instead of having her bored at the wedding, I just took her to the beach." Phoenix said and smiled.
"You're the best." I said and he smirked.
"Let's order." Phoenix said and I opened the menu. I was looking at it when my phone rang. I took it out from my bag and saw it was Finn. I turned to Phoenix and he raised his eyebrows looking at me.
"I'm going to take this call for a second." I said as I got up. I quickly walked away and answered his call.
"Hello."
"Hey Lana, how are you?" He asked in a friendly tone.
"I'm good, what's up?"
"It's about work actually. I want to have your products in my hotel chain in Greece." He said in an exciting tone.
"Really?"
"Yeah, Julie actually recommended me your products." Julie? I bet she hates me and why would she recommend my products to him.
"We can talk about this when I get home."
"You're out of town?"
"Yeah, I'm actually on a vacation with my friend and I will be back next week." I said.
"Very well, I'll call your secretary to make an appointment with you next week then."
"Sure thing." He ended the call and I immediately called my secretary. I wanted her to look into Julie because that bitch was acting suspicious. I called her quickly and walked back to the breakfast table.
"Who's that, darling?" Phoenix asked as I sat down.
"Work related, just the usual." I said and I quickly ordered my food. We ate breakfast together and his parents asked me about my family. I told them the truth because there's no point of lying. They asked me to call them by their names too since we're a family now.
Phoenix told his parents that he was planning to take me to parasailing and maybe go for a snorkeling too. His parents already have plans together for a spa and we will meet again for dinner.
"We'll see you at dinner!" Vinna, Phoenix's mother said. We waved at them and I sat down again to finish my ice cream.
"Who called earlier?"
"Finn." I answered honestly.
"What did he want?" He asked in a not so friendly tone. I turned to him and laughed lightly.
"Work related."
"Oh.. okay." He said and I nodded.
"Are we really going parasailing?" I asked and he nodded smiling.
"You're ready?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm already wearing my bikini." I said and he chuckled. He gestured me to follow him to the lobby and there's already a car ready for us. The chauffer opened the door for us. We got into the car and I can't help but feel excited.
After around 15 minutes of car ride, we arrived at the place. We got out from the car and I can't help but squealed in excitement.
"Let's go.." He said as he grabbed my hand walking into the parasailing place. I took off my dress and put my bag into the locker. I walked out from the bathroom and found Phoenix wearing a life vest. He turned to me and gestured me to come to him.
"What?" I asked and he took another life vest for me. He helped me putting it on and tighten it up.
"Safety first.. remember that." He said and I nodded.
"Let's have fun!"
