Lana Castroff
"I've always love this kinds of museum." Gaston said as we finished every section of the museum. I couldn't help but agree with his statement.
"Me too."
"So.. how long have you been married to Phoenix? I'm really surprised to see him already married." Gaston asked and I chuckled.
"A few weeks, we just got married recently."
"And why are you so curious about our relationship?" I turned my head to see Phoenix leaning his body to the wall. He turned his head to look at Gaston and he walked towards us.
"You're familliar with Paris and why do you want to ask my wife to tour you around?" Phoenix asked as he put his arm around my waist.
"You know that I don't have any friends around." Gaston said and Phoenix chuckled.
"Is that my problem? Finish the tour by yourself, I'm taking my wife to dinner." Phoenix hissed and he led me out from the museum.
"That's a little rude." I commented and Phoenix called his chauffer to come. He didn't even bother to say anything. He only gestured me to get into the car and I got inside. The whole car ride was filled with silence, I don't know what's wrong with him.
"Did my mother set you up?" He asked and I turned to him.
"He's new in town so I was just.. helping. Besides in their eyes, I'm your wife." I said and he sighed. He leaned his head back.
"Are we going back home?" I asked.
"Yes." He answered and I decided not to protest. I rather not deal with the not so nice Phoenix at the moment. I guess he and Gaston weren't that close and that's why he's mad at me for hanging out with the man that he doesn't like.
I felt sleepy all of the sudden and I closed my eyes. Not long after that, I fell asleep.
Phoenix Sterling
I carried Lana to my penthouse and laid her on her bed. I put the blanket on her and sat on the bed beside her. I grabbed her hand and caressed it slowly. I took a really deep breath and let it out slowly.
"Please don't go around and.. meeting guys yet." I whispered and then walked out from her room.
My phone rang on a really right timing and it's my PI. I raised my eyebrows seeing him calling quite late instead of tomorrow.
"Hello."
"Mr. Sterling, I have something to inform you." He said in a really serious tone. I walked into my room and sat down on the edge of my bed.
"Tell me."
"It seems that Ms. Castroff currently looking into Julie's background. She and her team currently being suspicious of her and apparently Finn Ancelet just got a deal with Ms. Castroff to use her products in his new hotel chain in Greece."
"Did you find something on the CCTVs?" I asked.
"Actually yes and I think this is why Ms. Castroff is suspicious of Julie. We actually found on the day that Ms. Castroff's products were being delivered to our office, she was the one who put it in the storage room. We clearly saw the footage and we saw her going back and forth a lot of times without knowing what she did in there." Julie huh?
"Please do a background check on Julie and let me know all of Lana's activities on this too. I want to know everything."
"Very well, Mr. Sterling." I ended the call and looked outside the window. I checked my messages and found an invitation to charity event this Saturday. I bet Lana got it too and I guess we will see Finn and Julie there. Let's see whay can we see from that event, I really want to know why Lana got her finger onto Julie.
I decided to call Dean.
"Look who's calling.." Dean answered chuckling.
"Hey, are you at the hospital?" I asked as I walked out from my room.
"Yeah, just finished a long surgery, why?"
"Nothing, just want to ask if you're up for a drink." I said as I walked downstairs to the living room.
"I can't. I have another surgery in 3 hours. Why? You want to rant out your shitty married life?" He teased.
"No, I just.."
"I'm surprised that you haven't divorce yet, it's been a month." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"I need her to stop my family."
"Completely understand that but she did the job good, why keep her? Don't tell me you like her for real?"
"No!" I denied it as fast as I can.
"I need more time so my family will leave me alone for real."
"Very well, if you need anything call me but now.. I really need a long nap." He said and ended the call. I sighed and decided to not ask him for help now. I'll ask him some other time.
I grabbed my car keys and walked towards the door when my PI called me again.
"Mr. Sterling, sorry for calling you again but we have new leads."
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"It seems Julie is currently having an affair."
"Affair? She's dating Finn and I don't think she's the type who will have an affair." I really don't want to judge too hard because I have to look at the whole picture first.
"She's actually Mr. Castroff's mistress." My heart dropped hearing it because I don't know what will Lana react if she knows about this.
"How long?"
"About 2 months or so.." I guess she's two timings. She dates Finn and Lana's father too.
"Other information?"
"He bought her an apartment recently for her and that's all we got earlier. If we find new information, we will tell you right away." I guess Lana was right all along.
"Thankyou." I ended the call and I can't believe I'm hearing this. I hope that Lana's PI won't find out about this sooner because I know she won't receive the news well.
