Lana Castroff
After having a meeting with Finn to discuss the product that he wanted, I called my PI to come to my office. I really find Julie very suspicious even though now I really can't get my hands on it.
I was sitting in my office looking out the window thinking what should I do next? I don't want to get close to her because I might be in danger and I don't want to tell Phoenix either because I know for sure he will defend his employee.
Apparently Julie has been working under Phoenix for 2 years and I don't know how she managed to meet Finn when she didn't even work at the same floor as Phoenix. That woman is something and I will find out what kind of woman she is.
My phone rang all of the sudden and it's Phoenix's mother.
"Hello Vinna, how are you?"
"Hello darling, I'm good. Are you busy?" She asked and I turned my chair around to check my schedule.
"No, I'm actually not."
"Great! We can have lunch together, I've missed you." She said and I chuckled.
"I've missed you too and you can tell me which restaurant you want to go to and I'll go there right away."
"I'll send you the place and meet me there at 1 okay? Don't tell your husband."
"Very well." I chuckled and she ended the call. I checked the time and it's around 40 minutes before 1. I called my secretary to come in and told her to move my 3 o'clock meeting to later on at 6.
I decided to wrap up my work and go to the restaurant that my mother-in-law choose. I wonder what is she up to today. My secretary called my chauffer right away when I got out from my office.
I got into the car and told my chauffer to go to the restaurant that Vinna sent me through text. He put it on his GPS and started driving out from my office building.
After 15 minutes of car ride, we arrived at the restaurant and I walked inside. The waiter asked me if I booked a reservation already and I just told them Vinna's name. He led me to the table and I smiled seeing Vinna and a couple of her friends.
"Lana, darling. This is my friends, Cecile and Estelle." She introduced me to her friends and I greeted them politely.
"Nice to meet you all." I said.
"Phoenix really picked the right woman to be his wife." Cecile said and I smiled to her.
"Thankyou." I said and at the same time, "Mother." I turned to see a man standing beside me.
"Gaston, darling." Estelle smiled to see his son and Vinna made me sit down beside her. Estelle introduced Gaston to me.
"Gaston, this is Phoenix's wife, Lana. Lana, this is my son, Gaston." Estelle said and I gave him a polite handshake. He sat down beside me and we ordered our lunch.
"Phoenix is married? That's a really shocking fact to hear." Gaston said and Vinna chuckled. "He's full of surprises."
"The reason why I asked you to come here is because I want to ask if you're willing to help Gaston." Vinna said and I turned to her raising my eyebrows.
"Help with?"
"This is my first time being in Paris for good, actually. Me and my family been living in America for so long and I only visited Paris a couple of times when I was young. So I was wondering if you could tour me around, I don't really have friends." He said and I turned to Vinna.
"He's not friends with Phoenix so I can't ask Phoenix to tour him around." Vinna said and I nodded.
"Very well." I said.
"Are you busy today?" Vinna asked and I shook my head. I can't disappoint my mother-in-law. Gaston is her friend's son and it's just a tour so I don't think it will be a big deal for me.
"I'm good for today, I can take him around town after lunch." I said and turned to Gaston who's already smiling widely.
Phoenix Sterling
I just got out from work and planned to ask Lana to have dinner together. I dialed her phone number and waiting for her to answer the phone. I got out from the lift and waited there for her to pick it up.
"Hello." I looked at my phone screen to make sure that I dialed the right number and I did.
"Who is this?"
"Hey Phoenix." My whole body froze when I recognized the voice.
"Where's Lana?" I asked in a not so nice tone.
"Toilet." He answered and I can't help but feeling pissed.
"Why the hell are you doing with her?"
"Why can't I? She's a beautiful woman and she's amazing so.." I wanted to punch him so bad for this and before I could ask him where they are right now, he ended the call. I tried to call again but no answer.
Why the hell is Lana doing with Gaston?
I kept calling Lana non-stop not caring if her phone will ring every second. Why the hell is she with that bastard? I kept calling and calling.
"Phoenix, what's wrong?" She asked and I was ready to get mad at her.
"Where are you?"
"The Lourve." She said and I ended the call. I got into the car and told my chauffer to go to the Lourve. I can't believe she's hanging out with Gaston and I bet my mother was the one who made her meet Gaston.
