" Amore, Roy. Stay with me, please stay with me." I continue to say , while dragging her unconscious body out of the car. " Somebody help, please help me." I yelled, with tears in my eyes as a big crowd formed around us.
" Please Roy, please baby don't leave me again . I can't live without you. " I cried out, clenching onto her body, refusing to let go till the ambulance came . They placed her in a wheeled stretcher , and into the car.
I got in, holding onto her hand. Praying. Praying for the God above not to take her away from me again. I couldn't go through this again , I won't be able to survive this .
She was rushed into the emergency room when we got to the hospital , I stood outside the door waiting. Praying and waiting. Nick was already here , standing beside me.
It was up to thirty minutes when my mom and Roy's parents ran in, all looking frantic. My mom and Roy's mom both had tears gushing down their eyes, they pulled me into a hug when they saw me, bawling their eyes out while Roy's dad gave me a pat on the back. I knew he was trying to be strong for his wife.
They continued to wait till Vicky and Richard walked in with Richard hand wrapped around her shoulders as she cried. She was immediately pulled in for a hug by my mom and Roy's mom , the three women kept on crying.
Richard walked towards me, patting my shoulder. I could see his hands shake and knew he was equally as scared as the rest of us.
" Alexander is with Serena, so you don't have to worry." Richard said beside me and I nodded my head, my eyes focused on the door which the doctor's had taken Roy to . " He kept on asking what was wrong but we didn't have the courage to tell him yet."
" Thanks man, I appreciate it." I whispered weakly.
I didn't know how long we waited but it felt like years, Alexander had called to ask what was wrong and I told him I was going to explain later and he should go to sleep since it was already 12 midnight.
When the time clicked at 2;49Am in the morning, the door opened and I saw a couple of nurses wheeled Roy out of the room. We raced after them till we got to the door of her assigned room. We were asked to see the doctor first, we weren't allowed to see her just yet.
I walked to the doctor's office with Roy's parents behind me. When we got there we took our seats, not before shaking the hands of the doctor.
" Hi I'm Doctor Wilson, I was the one in charge of Mrs Reeves surgery." Dr Wilson said. " The Surgery was a success, though I must admit it was a little risky . We weren't sure they were both going to survive."
A puzzled look crossed my face, They. Who else was he talking about. I had already checked up on the cab driver through Alfred , luckily he was okay since Roy was the one who bore the impact of the truck.
" What do you mean, they?" Patrick asked, with an equally confused expression.
Dr Wilson looked at us and a look across his face when he noticed we had no clue what he was talking about . " I'm sorry. I thought you were all aware of Mrs Reeves being pregnant." .
At his words , I felt my knees grow weak. Baby. Roy was carrying my baby. Our baby.
" I know you are all probably worried but we did everything possible to make sure both mother and child were safe. Though they are both still weak, we need to keep watching them to make sure everything is okay." Dr Wilson concluded.
" Thank you doctor." I said , after being able to get a hold of myself. " When can we see her?"
" It's going to be one at a time Mr Reeves, she is in a sleep induced coma and it might take her some time before she wakes up. I don't want to overwhelm the patient." He explained.
We all nodded, shaking hands with the doctor before making our way out of the hospital.
" I think it's best if you all go home and rest , I will stay with Roy." I said to everyone.
They all refused at first but I managed to convince them to go home. While I was given a glove and gown before I could enter into the room
I took a seat beside Roy , placing my hand on hers that was in the bed. I raised it up to my lips, pecking it.
" Thank you Amore, thank you for not leaving." I whispered softly. " Thank you for fighting hard for me, Alexander and our unborn baby. Thank you both for surviving."
I kept holding onto her hand as I thought back to the past when I had first met Roy, it was at one of my dad's dinner parties. He had told me about his friend moving to New York with his family. My mom and dad were so excited to meet them but I couldn't say the same.
I was in my junior year at that time and was becoming rebellious. It was during that party I had first seen Roy, she had captured my attention the moment she had walked in . For a thirteen years old , she was freaking beautiful and stunning.
I didn't know how to approach her, I was scared beyond my wit and it didn't help that I was three years older than her. I thought of another way to approach her and that was through Richard, at first I had approached Richard as a means to get close to Roy but along the way we became best of friends .
And then Richard brought a rule which started that Roy was off limits to us his friends. I admit I was devastated at this and I decided to let go of my feelings for Roy but I just couldn't because things between us changed in her senior year.
