Vicky and I had hit the spa recently and also went to the Salon to get our hair done. It's been a long time since I had my hair treated and I wanted something different instead of my natural long hair.
My hair was well taken care of, trimmed to my shoulder blade . I was skeptical at first when Vicky suggested I cut my hair, urging me to go ahead with it, saying I would look spectacular. I'm so glad I listened to her, even Giovanni seemed to love it.
I will admit he was shocked at first when he walked in our room and saw my once long hair cut to shoulder length hair. I thought he hated it at first since he stood by the door not saying anything but now, he plays with my hair every chance he gets, complimenting on how lovely I looked.
I let out a giggle at the thought of it.
" What's got you all laughing, amore." Giovanni asked me with a prompt eyebrow.
" Nothing, just remember something that's all. "
" And what memory is that, that's got you laughing. "
" it's a secret. "
" Really."
" yeah. " he looked at me like he was about to say something but changed his mind and I gave him a smug look, sticking my tongue out.
He continued scrolling through the TV. " What movie are we watching?" We were currently in the living room, looking for a movie to watch.
Giovanni decided to take a free day off today to spend with me and Alexander, we had cooked breakfast together this morning. Well, Giovanni did the cooking while
Alexander and I took care of settling the table which is equally as important as cooking. It takes great effort. After eating we went to the library to read together, I took a romance novel, Alexander a comic while Giovanni took a crime solving novel.
Go figures.
We stayed in the library for some hours, till I got tired of reading and Giovanni suggested we watch a movie together, which brings us to now. It was already two in the afternoon, so we were going to watch a movie to while away time before going over to Ariella's house.
" How about the fault in our Stars?" I screamed excitedly.
" ugh... I don't think that's a good idea. "
" No..."
Giovanni and Alexander both voiced out at the same time, both staring at me with a skeptical look in their face.
" Why is that. It's a great movie."
" I'm just worried amore, you end up crying your eyes out every single time you watch the movie." he says concerned.
" Yes mom, you always cry when you watch it." Alexander added with a look of worry In his face as well.
" Of course I'm bound to cry, it's an emotional movie.. " I stated in a 'duh', like it was something they were supposed to know.
" But you bawl your eyes out a lot." Alexander whispered.
" I hate seeing you cry for whatever reason. " Giovanni spoke after some time.
" I promise I won't cry this time. I already know what will happen. " I said with a childish pout.
' alright fine." he lets out a defeated sigh, playing the movie.
" Dad..." Alexander whined, making Giovanni shrug.
I snuggled closer to Giovanni while Alexander snuggled too close to me. I rested my body on Giovanni, occasionally grabbing a handful of popcorn from his lap, passing some to Alexander as we watched the movie.
At the end of the movie, I was already bawling my eyes out. I was in the second pack of tissues, that Giovanni so generously placed on the table, while Alexander softly patted my back.
" I thought you said you weren't going to cry. " Giovanni says sarcastically, like he didn't believe whatever promise I made at the beginning of the movie.
" I know I said I won't, I can't help myself. Poor Augustus , Why did he have to die like that? " I wailed, blowing the snot off my nose.
``That's why I suggest we not watch it. This is like the hundredth time you are watching this movie. " He replied.
" Whatever." I replied sassily, sticking my tongue out to him, making Alexander laugh. " Now that we are down with the fault in our Stars, why don't we watch five feet apart."
" NO...." Alexander and Giovanni both screamed out petrified.
