I thought back to the conversation Nick and Giovanni were having in his office then to the times I felt anxious and agitated at the thought of Alexander's mom coming back.
A laugh escaped my lips before I could stop myself, getting me a worried look from Vick, Nick and Giovanni.
" I'm sorry, don't mind me ." I said, laughing. " I can't believe I was jealous of myself." I explained laughing.
Vicky looked at me like she couldn't believe I was actually laughing about that.
" Quit looking at me like that , you know it's funny." I said , At my word Nick and Vicky joined in laughing while Giovanni let out a soft chuckle.
My laugh was cut short when the hospital door opened and Alexander walked in along with Arella and my parents.
" Oh honey, thank God you are awake ." My mom said, hugging me.
" You gave us quite a scare, pumpkin." My dad said, I could see that he had dark circles like the rest of them, his eyes were red like he was struggling not to cry.
" I'm sorry dad, mom." I said, smiling warmly at them.
" I'm really glad you and the baby are okay." Ariella said, hugging me.
My eyes shifted from them to Alexander was still at the door, watching me like he was scared that I would disappear if he moved or said anything.
I motioned for him to come, my eyes welled up in tears as I watched him take his time to get to me. When he stood in front of him, I saw the tears in his eyes.
I tapped the bed from him to get on and he did, pulling him close to me. " I'm sorry Alexander."
At my word he started crying even more, while consoling him. " Am sorry baby, mommy is sorry for forgetting you." I whispered, pecking his head.
Alexander looked up at me with wide eyes. " Do you remember me now, mummy?" His breath hitched when he waited for my reply.
" Yes baby, mommy remembers and I'm so sorry for forgetting you ." I cried. " Do you forgive mommy, Alexander?"
" Yes, please don't leave me again."
"Never baby, never." I hugged him, Giovanni came to the other side of the bed and the three of us hugged each other, with a promise never to let go or separate again.

The water trickled down my hair to my shoulders and back in the same manner. Washing away the vanilla scented soap off my hair as it stuck to my body. Turning the water off, I stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around my body. It has been a month since I was discharged from the hospital and things have been going smoothly.
I stand in front of the mirror, wiping off the fog from it to get a better look at my reflection. I looked at the tiny, hardly visible scar on my forehead and sigh.
You could hardly see it except if close to me and my hair does a major part in covering it up.
I walked out of the bathroom, to the closet, looking for a comfortable cloth to put on. It was in the afternoon and I already had my lunch. After dressing up, I walked out of the closet to the bed to lay on it. I took out my phone, going through my message box, replying to the messages sent by my mom and brother.
I chatted with my mom for some time before she went offline since she had to attend to something. I got tired of laying on the bed and thought of what to do.
" Come in. " I was about to get up when I heard a knock, the door opened and Vicky walked in closing it behind her.
Since I got discharged from the hospital, Vicky has been checking up on me constantly. Arella, my parents, Nick and Richard also came to check up on me a week after I got back home .
I was getting tired of being locked up here, my view of outside this past month was through the window. Giovanni was hell bent on keeping me locked up in the house till I recuperated first and got my energy back so I have been on bed rest.
I wasn't allowed to do this, I wasn't allowed to do that. It was kind of frustrating.
Sigh.....
I climbed down from the bed and Vicky quickly rushed to the bed to hold my hand. I huffed. She won't let me do anything, she and Giovanni are so alike.
" You do know I'm capable of walking by myself. Right. " I said to her as we both made our way to the couch, taking a seat.
" yeah I do, but the doctor said you need to be in complete bed rest , careful and avoid stress. " she exclaimed
" but right now, you and Giovanni are the ones stressing me out."
" We are just worried. We couldn't bear the thought of losing you, the days you spent laying on the hospital bed unconscious was hell for us, especially Giovanni. He kept blaming himself for everything."
" it's not his fault nor yours. It was an accident and the police are looking into it." I said and she nodded.
" I understand, I will try not to be too much." we looked at each other smiling, I pulled her in for a hug, thankful to have her as a friend.
" Your tummy is already getting big " Vicky said changing the subject.
"Yeah " my hand on my tummy, feeling the small baby bump there.
" I wish, we knew the sex of the baby. " She whined and I laughed.
" Well, Giovanni thinks it's a girl. His little angel. "
" What about you, what do you think it is. " She asked curiously.
" I don't know, I'm just happy he or she is safe and healthy. But after I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to be a boy, handsome, smart, brave and strong just like his dad. " I slowly massage my tummy, a smile still on my face.
" I'm so eager to know, I can't wait for your next appointment. " she whined again and I stared at her in amusement.
" You won't have to wait long, Giovanni and I are going tomorrow for a checkup ." I told her and I watched her face lit up and I smiled, wanting tomorrow to come already.
