Mikaeel reached the court where Aurin was waiting for him with her lawyer and her sisters. Her parents are disappointed in her that she decided to divorce Mikaeel instead of believing him. That's why they didn't come.
Seeing Mikaeel after days Aurin's eyes moistened but somehow she controlled her tears. She decided to not cry for a man who broke her heart and cheated on her.
On the other hand, Mikaeel felt a soothing sensation inside his chest seeing Aurin's face after days. He felt like hugging her tightly, kissing her non-stop and telling her that he didn't cheat on her. But, Alas!!
" Where is your lawyer?" Aurin's lawyer asked Mikaeel.
Mikaeel answered looking at Aurin," I didn't hire any."
Aurin avoided any eye contact with Mikaeel when the lawyer said to him," So, Mr Mikaeel. My client wants to divorce you so here is th.........what the...hell are........."
The lawyer's words were unfinished because Mikaeel just took the papers in his hand and tore apart it. Aurin became dumbfounded by Mikaeel's action and looked at him with questioning eyes. Mikaeel gave her a challenging look that fueled Aurin's anger.
" I won't sign on the divorce paper," Mikaeel declared and forwarded his legs to leave the place.
Aurin ran behind him and called him from behind. Mikaeel turned behind while Aurin grabbed his collar tightly. Angry tears started flowing down her cheeks and Mikaeel looked at her with helpless eyes.
" How much pain do you want to give me Mikaeel? Sign on the papers and free me from all of these. I am suffocating," Aurin asked bursting into tears.
Mikaeel replied cupping her face in between his palms," You aren't the only one who is suffering. Try to understand me, wifey. I can never cheat on you. I am not lying. Please, believe me. I didn't sleep with her willingly."
" Tell me Mikaeel. If the same thing happened to me what you have done? Could you accept me?" Aurin asked crying.
Mikaeel answered with confidence," I wouldn't have let anyone come near you let alone touch you."
" Aurin, I admit that I shouldn't have lied to you but trust me. I didn't have an affair with her. Please, accept my apology and come back to me," Mikaeel literally begged but Aurin pushed him away.
She replied nodding her head," I can't. Your lies don't let me believe in you. No matter how much I try to believe in your words, your lies force me to think that you are lying."
" My heart crumbles in my chest whenever I think that another woman touched you!! My heart bleeds whenever I remember that you have a daughter out of wedlock. I would have believed that you were raped if you told me the truth when I confronted you about Maryam. But, you didn't. You again hid this matter from me!!" Aurin finished her saying and continued hiccupping.
Mikaeel tried to touch her but she moved away. Wiping away her tears she looked at him with red eyes. Then, she joined her hands in front of him.
" Sign the paper if you loved me ever. It's a request. At least, fulfil this wish of mine," Aurin requested.
Mikaeel held her joined hands and then declared," I loved you. I love you and I will love you till my last breath. Whatever happened that night wasn't my fault. I was raped. I was a victim and I am not going to take any responsibility for the sin I never committed. I will fight for my marriage till my last breath. Whether you want or not you will remain my wife until I sign the papers. And, keep in mind that I am not going to sign the divorce paper ever."
Saying all these Mikaeel forwarded his legs to leave the place while Aurin let out a frustrated sound.
The Next Day
Aurin was in her office and engrossed in her work. She was trying to forget everything by engaging herself with work. She knew that shedding tears and sitting like a depressed broken girl won't help her. If she keeps herself busy then Mikaeel's memory won't bother her. She just hopes Mikaeel realize her situation and signs the divorce paper as soon as possible.
" Bhabhi, if you don't mind may I say something," Amal asked for Aurin's permission.
Aurin nodded her head slightly and then Amal said hesitating," I think.....i.....umm.....you should.....reconsider......your decision. The regret, the pain, the sorrow I have seen in Mikaeel bhai's eyes can't be avoided. He is suffering just like you. I don't know why I am feeling that he is innocent."
Aurin heard Amal but didn't say anything. She wasn't in the mood to hear or say anything. She might be looking calm & normal but only she knows what's she feeling inside.
" Ammi is trying hard to convince him to divorce you but he is firm in his decision. She always tries to insult you by calling you barren but Mikaeel bhai always defends you. He declared that even if you don't conceive he won't leave you. He loves you a lot, Bhabhi. I can't believe that he can cheat on you. Try to think once again," Amal told while Aurin kept looking at the white paper with blank eyes.
A drop of tear fell on the paper hearing the word barren. How much she wants to be a mother! She had a lot of dreams about her babies, about Mikaeel and their family but now everything is ruined. Aurin doesn't know whom she should blame. Her destiny, the person whom she loved truly or Maryam!
Remembering Maryam's face she clutched the paper and crumbled it. Gritting her teeth she stood up and looked at Amal.
" I have thought enough, Amal. Your brother-in-law isn't any Saint. He is a lier and after knowing his true face I can't return to him," Aurin gave a straightforward answer.
After that Aurin didn't waste another second here. She decided to return home because she wasn't feeling well mentally. Amal's continuous talking about Mikaeel was just opening the wounds in her chest so she decided to return home.
Coming out of the office her sour mood turned sourer seeing Mikaeel standing right in front of her. He approached her but she avoided him totally. She forwarded her legs to leave this place right now.
" Aurin, listen to me," Mikaeel said following Aurin.
She answered curtly," I am not in the mood to talk with a cheater."
" Please, Aurin. Tell me what I should do to earn your forgiveness. I will do anything," Mikaeel requested blocking her path.
Aurin snapped at him," Then, divorce me and return to your ex-girlfriend & child."
" You can't ask for a divorce. You know that I love you and you also love me. Most importantly, I have nothing to do with Maryam & her child. It wasn't my fault," Mikaeel said holding her hands.
Aurin jerked his hands away and screamed at him," I can't ask for a divorce but you can sleep with your ex-girlfriend!! You are a liar and there is no guarantee that you are not lying again! I can't live with you after knowing that you slept with another woman."
Hearing her yelling sounds people surrounded them and started whispering looking at Mikaeel with suspicious yet disgusted eyes. Some even started taking pictures and videos of them. Mikaeel felt all these very embarrassing since people were looking at him with suspicious eyes.
" Wifey, let's go somewhere else and talk with a calm mind," Mikaeel said to Aurin but she wasn't in the mood to listen to anything.
She pushed him away and snapped at him," Don't call me wifey again. There is nothing left to talk about. Just leave me alone."
Mikaeel tried to say something when 4/5 men approached Aurin and asked," Is everything alright, Mam? Is he harassing you?"
Asking all these they looked at Mikaeel while he shouted angrily," What nonsense! Why would I harass my wife? I am trying to talk to her."
Aurin was so angry and hurt about everything that she wasn't feeling to hear even a single word from Mikaeel's mouth. Imagining him with Maryam, her blood boiled and she looked at Mikaeel with furious eyes.
" Yes, he is harnessing me," Aurin answered while Mikaeel looked at her with disbelief.
Those words left Aurin's mouth, those 4/5 men grabbed Mikaeel tightly. Calling him an Eve teaser two men started punching him nonstop. Mikaeel tried to fight them back but handling 4/5 men at once isn't an easy task. He isn't any superhero. He is a normal human being just like us.
" Aurin, listen to....me......Ahh......." Mikaeel screamed when a man punched his nose and he started bleeding.
Aurin didn't even leave a glance at Mikaeel and forwarded her legs leaving him in the hands of the public. Mikaeel's yelling and screaming made her cry but her anger didn't let her come forward and stop this drama.
She left him and after a few moments, Mikaeel's driver saved Mikaeel from those men. The driver called the police and only then the situation came under control.
But, the damage was already done. Bruises has formed on Mikaeel's face already as well as his nose was bleeding. But, the internal pain crushed Mikaeel completely. Aurin's untroubled behaviour astonished him and also hurt him beyond the limit. At first, she humiliated her and then left her in the hands of the public to get beaten. How can she turn so heartless to the person she loves!!
