Naina 's POV
As soon I reached home I called Mom.
"Yes, Naina?"
"Mom, I wanted to know how to prepare biriyani and matar paneer?" I asked.
"So you are planning to surprise him for his birthday?" she asked.
"Yes and so I want to make his favourite dishes," I told her.
"Naina, you told me you don’t cook so you will not understand if I tell you through phone. Can I come over?" she asked
"You said you are my Mom but now you are acting like an outsider. This is your house too. Of course you can come but only on one condition," I said.
"What?" she asked.
"Have dinner with us,” I said.
"Okay but I will leave after dinner."
"Yes. Ranveer will drop you after dinner," I said.
"And I can't wait to see the paintings you made. Ranveer told me about it when I called to wish him,” she said and I smiled.
"Okay, I will be there in half an hour," she said and cut the call.

In half an hour Mom was here.
"First I want to see the paintings."
I took her to our room and showed her the paintings.
Her eyes widened just like Ranveer as soon she saw it.
"Wow! This is so beautiful," she said as she traced the painting and a small drop of tear rolled down her cheek.
"You are the best for him," she said.
"And he is the best for me,” I said.
After cooking we decided to go and have some fresh air.
"Can we buy him a cake?" I asked.
"As I told you earlier he never celebrates his birthday so I think dinner will be enough,” she said and I nodded in a yes.
She was right. Maybe after few years he can celebrate his birthday but not today.
Maybe his heart will heal with time.
But today something better than cake will be waiting for him and I hope I can make him happy with what I was willing to give.

After making dinner we decided to watch T.V
It was almost 8 p.m. and he was not at home.
He is never late and he said he will be home early.
After almost five minutes the doorbell rang.
I excitedly ran to open the door but stopped in my tracks realizing Mom was here.
I turned around and looked at Mom and she started laughing.
"Go,” she said and I went and opened the door.
Today there was a bouquet of red roses in his hands.
"Thank you,” I said as I inhaled the fragrance of the beautiful roses.
"You are late,” I said as I kept the bouquet in a flower pot.
"Sorry there was a meeting. I thought it will be over early but it didn’t,” he said and I nodded my head in understanding.
He looked behind me and was surprised to see Mom.
"Mom,” he ran and hugged her.
"Happy Birthday once again Ranveer. May god bless you and give you every happiness you deserve,” she said and kissed his forehead.
"Now go and freshen up. Today Naina has cooked your favorite dishes,” she said and he looked at me and I could see he was surprised.
"Really? I can’t wait to eat it. I will be back in few minutes,” he said and hurriedly went in our room.
"Someone is dying to have dinner made by his wife's hands,” Mom teased and I ran in the kitchen as I was too shy to meet her eyes.
"Come let's serve dinner,” she said and we served dinner.
After some time he was back and he was dressed in white shirt and pant.
"Wow! my favorite biriyani and matar paneer,” he said as he took his seat.
There was a big smile on his face and that made me happy.
I always use to read love means being happy when your partner is happy and now I understood the feeling of that.
We all sat to have our dinner.
"You helped her right?" he asked Mom after taking a bite.
"Yes but she cooked everything,” Mom said.
"We cooked everything,” I added and Mom looked at me and smiled.
"Thanks to both of you for making my day special,” he thanked us.
We both want his happiness and our happiness revolves around one person.
Yes, there's lot of difference between Mom's love and wife's love but we both only want one thing.
Smile on Ranveer's face.
I never understand why in many families daughter in-law and mother in-law fight with each other when they want the same thing and are connected to the same person.
Thank god my mother in-law is the best.
I will always thank god for giving me husband like Ranveer and mother in-law like Mom who showed me mother's love and affection and treats me like her daughter.
"Naina, where are you lost?" Mom asked.
"Nothing,” I said.
"Mom, have you seen the paintings Naina made?" he asked.
"Yes she has a talent and I hope she uses it in right direction and you can guide her,” Mom said to Ranveer.
"I will always guide her and try to help her,” he said to her making me smile.
I love you so much Ranveer Singhania.

"Okay, so I will leave. Ranveer you will drop me home right?" Mom asked as she finished her dinner.
"Of course Mom,” Ranveer exclaimed as he washed his hands.
"Okay so I will leave. Take care,” Mom said kissing my forehead.
"Bye Mom. I will come to meet you soon,” I said and they left.
As soon they left I was scared.
It was all so beautiful when I planned it in my head but why my heart is beating so fast when I am actually going to do it?
