"What?" He asked in disbelief, staggering backwards a little. "This can't be happening."
"Yes it is, and the sooner you realize it the better for you." Kendal said with confidence before walking away from him so he won't grab her again because the place he held her is still hurting terribly.
The color drained from Adam's face and he stopped thinking as the implication of what Krystal said dawned on him, he was going to be a father and much worse the horrible woman before him will be the mother.
The whole thing made him angry and Adam wished he had done things differently. The chewing sound of the gum Kendal made brought his attention back to her. As he looked at her, Adam couldn't process his feelings if it was hate, anger, or resentment.
Then he finally concluded that it was all.
Adam loathes her and if there is another word used in describing something more mean then that is what he feels for her because of the terrible news she brought to him.
Turning to Catherine, the only woman whom he can't stop thinking of his heart stopped beating as Adam saw the hurt in her eyes and at that moment he knew he can't spend his life without her by his side.
She is his oxygen, the air he breathes and the reason to keep alive.
And what hurt him the most is that she is in so much pain and it is all because of him. Adam hopes to get to the root of this and find out if truly Kendal was pregnant and if yes how far along is she, and whose baby she is also carrying. Because he is convinced it is not his, but he has to prove it first so that Catherine can believe him.
Then he will expose her wicked lies.
For his sake, Adam hopes she is lying because only then will he be free from Kendal's evil clutches and live happily ever after with Catherine by his side.
Reminded of Catherine again, Adam ran to her side as he tried to explain himself although he knew not what to say but he felt he had to say something, at least anything at all is better than being quiet.
"Catherine.." he started but stopped when she pulled back.
"Please stay away from me." She said with a shaky breath.
"Catherine, please let me explain."
"Why?" She asked. "You don't have to explain anything, I understand."
"What do you understand? Tell me." He went to her but Kendal held his arm as she tried to stop him.
"Babe please let her go."
"You stay out of this!" He snapped at her immediately, making her pull back in fear. She was forced to look at Catherine with nothing but pure hate in her eyes.
"Oh so she is Catherine," Krystal muttered to herself as everything made sense now. Catherine isn't anything Kendal was expecting at all when Michael mentioned her to her.
Kendel was expecting a tall slim model, not some petite curly hair. Yes she agrees to herself that Catherine was indeed very beautiful if not the most beautiful out of all the women she has seen Adam with but she still isn't his kind of woman.
Kendal has studied Adam very well as well as the many women he likes to be around and Catherine doesn't fit in the description. She looks more homely and innocent while Kendal feels Adam likes them wild and experienced with less drama.
Because to Kendal she considers Catherine to be a certified drama queen who believes in love and principle. Making her angry and wanting to pull at hair until Catherine falls face down so that her pretty face can be ruined then Adam won't be able to look at her or even stand her presence.
As Adam kept trying to reason with Catherine, Kendal rolled her eyes at the drama before her.
"Catherine please listen to me.."
"No," she shakes her head violently in disapproval. "Just stay away from me, you owe me no explanation okay! Everything makes sense now, very soon you will be a father. Congrats Adam, I wish you the best." She said, forcing a smile at him before dashing out into her room and making sure it is locked behind. Catherine lets herself drown in her pain as she falls flat on the floor, sobbing.
"What have you done you fool!" Adam yelled at Kendal as she tried to cuddle him from behind.
"Please babe, don't speak to me in such.."
Cutting her off, he choked her wrapping his hand around her neck. "If you ever call me babe again I will throw you off the balcony. And together with that bastard of yours that isn't mine will die." He gnashed through his teeth, very close to her face so he was sure his message passed through her thick skull before shoving her out of his side to go to Catherine.
"Please Catherine open up, please Cherry." He kept pleading and knocking hoping she caves and opened up. But to no avail.
"I need to be left alone for now, just sorting my things." She lied but Adam could tell she was lying because of her shaky breath as she speaks although he could also tell she is putting much effort in controlling it but it isn't working.
"Come on Catherine, please open up. At least give me a chance to explain, I won't leave until you open up."
"What is going on here?" Due to all the yelling and knocking coming from the hallway, Eunice was forced to come out to see what was going on. "What is wrong boy, what happened to our Catherine?"
