At the ninth ring, Khloe finally answered the call and her voice sounded so sleepy like she just woke up.
"Hey babe."
"Where have you been," I snapped. I can't believe how much I missed her, it is making me angry and she didn't even bother to give me a call or leave a message. "I have been trying to reach you but not available every time. So what is up with you?"
"Hey won't you greet me first, your only best friend in the world before you start your interrogation like you're some detective?" I am not with her but I am sure she rolled her eyes after she said that.
"That is because you don't deserve sweet pleasantries. When I needed you the most you were not there." I frowned as I remembered the past event I had been through since I last saw her.
"Aww, I am sorry baby. Tell me what's up with you?"
"No you tell me what is up with you?" I directed the question back at her. "Where have you been? No sorry," I pursed, clearing my throat before continuing. "Let me rephrase my question. Which of your lover's places are you in at the moment?" Her deep chuckle echoed over the phone making me very certain my suspicion was right.
"You know, if someone should hear you now they will think I am one hot tie who always has all the men."
"Well isn't that true?" I rolled my eyes at her although she couldn't see me.
"I wish." She said, still chuckling.
"Alright if you insist on it. But tell me now, who are you with that has made you forget all about me, your bestie. Is it the guy you met in Australia?"
"Yes babe." She giggled. He is the best, and very good in bed too. He has quite the stamina you know, I can still feel him deep inside as I speak right now."
"Wow, lucky you." Khloe boasting about her sex life with her new lover made me start thinking how it will feel like when I and Adam finally do it, that is if we ever do it. My face dropped as I got depressed in an instant.
"Hey Cathy, are you there?" Khloe screamed over the phone.
"Hey! What is your problem? Do you want to ruin my hearing ability?"
"Sorry, I wanted to make sure you were still on the line. So tell me, is everything okay with you?"
"Yes," I hesitated a little, giving me out.
"Don't you dare tell me that, I know something is wrong so spill it out!" She ordered like some wicked school teacher.
"Alright, alright I will tell you. Don't eat me okay."
"You are wasting time princess."
"Don't call me that!" I rolled my eyes. I Know she did it on purpose just so she could irritate me, she always does that.
"If you don't speak up now, I will keep calling you that." She warned and I know she meant every word because Khloe never bluffs and I mean never.
"Alright. Well you see a lot really happened after you left my place on Saturday."
"Really, what happened? Speak up babe you are making me tense." And she wasn't lying, I could hear it in her voice.
"Adam, you know the one you keep calling the Greek god happened to be my sister's fiancé's best friend.
"What?" She exclaimed.
"Yes."
"Okay, so what's is wrong with that because I see nothing wrong." She said flatly, making me roll my eyes again.
"Well if you keep shut and let me finish I will get to the interesting part."
"Alright, all ears." From my end, I could hear her trying to sit in a good position on her bed. She always does that whenever she is engrossed in what you have to say. "So just minutes after you drove out, Michael and Mr. Greek god drove in."
"What! Sorry but I still don't understand."
"They drove in as in they came to my fucking house "
"Wow! I can't believe I missed a perfect opportunity to get a glimpse of his handsomeness."
"Really? Is that the point of my story?" I sigh, robbing my head a little which was already aching due to the story telling.
"Sorry, so what is the whole issue in this because I see nothing wrong in what you just told me."
"That is because you are yet to hear this part, I and Mr. Greek god made out on the couch."
"What!" Khloe covered her mouth in shock. And for some seconds she went quiet, not uttering a single word. I thought she had hung up until she spoke up, screaming in my ears again before bursting into laughter. "Are you fucking kidding me? You and your boss made out? Wow, this is new for me, sorry but I find it hard to believe."
"Babe, I am not fucking joking. I made out with my boss and I feel so ashamed because my parents caught us in the process!"
"O! M!! G!!! What! Catherine Shawn a.k.a miss Virgin got steamy with her handsome boss. Wow Cathy, wow! I am blown." She chuckled, making me blush as I remembered the embarrassing moment.
"You don't know how embarrassed I am right now."
"Sorry babe, I can imagine. You must be in a state of shock. So tell me what did your dad do? I am sure he gave your boss some good beating leaving Mr. handsome no choice but to kick you out right?" She said in one breath.
"Nope, in fact the exact opposite happened which has left me confused."
"What do you mean?" Khloe’s tone became serious as she stopped laughing at me and became silent. I could literally hear a pin drop.
"I mean dad was angry and all, he even threw him away but his anger later settled when he found out who he was. It was like that little information changed everything."
"Really, how?"
"I don't know, that is what I don't understand. And currently as I speak, I am engaged to my boss at least that is what my parents think."
"It is a lie," She gasped. "You are fucking engaged to your boss, when?" She almost freaked out. "The more you tell me, the more confused I get."
"I understand. I will tell you all about it when we see."
"Wow Cathy, this whole story is too much to process for me in one day. Wow! I can't believe I missed a lot. Can't believe I missed out on drama." She chuckled again.
"Yes babe you did and I missed you so much!" I sighed, sinking in the bed more.
"Don't worry I will come see you tomorrow."
"Oh, I forgot to tell you the last part."
Khloe braced herself for the unexpected, everything she had heard has left her shocked but something tells her this last one might be even shocking.
"I am in Korea to meet his parents."
