I woke up feeling the warmth of his body, engulfing me in his embrace. I could hear his steady breath, and then his hands pulled me closer to his chest.
"Mmm...morning little one." His husky voice trailed sexily to my ear.
"Nate, baby...we should really go out. And I don't mean for skinny dipping at night, but go out like meeting people. We've been fucking like rabbits for the past three days. You should be bored with me by now..."
"Never my love, not with you. Okay, let's have a quick morning fuck in the shower, then we have breakfast and spend the whole day out of the cottage. How's that? We can have coffee at Novelty..." He said as he started to plan our day.
"Nate, I'm bored with the shower." I pouted at him. He chuckled and got up, and put on his pants. Then he put on his T-shirt to my naked body and carried me out to the beach.
"Nate!! What are you doing?!... I'm fucking naked under this thing. What if people passed by?" But I was giggling, feeling the excitement a little bit nervous. But I know, I was safe with him.
"Let's be one of those beach bum couples for the whole day?" He carried me into the cold water, it felt nice as he wrapped my legs around his waist, and started to kiss me. Our bodies were rocked by the ocean wave, as our kiss started to heat up, his hands were all over my body.
"I can't, I still need my comfort and hygiene, and condoms. To the bedroom baby, I need you in me now....mmh...you had turned me into a sex addict Nate. I can't seem to stop." I told him then kissing him deeply until we were both moaning each other's name.
He eventually gave up and carried me back to the cottage. But we didn't make it to the bedroom, as we were both sated on the couch. He got up and discarded the condom, then pulled the throw blanket back covering our naked bodies.
"So, about getting out of the cottage. When would you like this to happen little one?" I could feel him smiling, while he was kissing my back softly.
"Later baby, mmm...just hold me, you feel so good. Dad is coming here at lunchtime, just wake me up before then. I'm so sleepy, you're so comfy." My eyes were sleepy, as I drifted off to slumber again in his arms. I could hear him chuckle, while he kissed the top of my head.
Felt like minutes, when he woke me up with a sudden urgency. "Marissa baby, I need you to wake up and go get change, we're going to the city. Albert just called, it's Pamela. She got to your dad. Come on baby, go get changed, I'll get your stuff."
I felt dead inside, I got up and look at him. Then went to my room to go get changed. But he knew it, he knew that I was crumbling down inside. "Marissa I'm here baby, it'll all be okay. I'm with you all the way. Come here..." He pulled my clothes off of my body, and help me get changed. Then cupped my face, and gave me his sweetest kiss.
"I love you, baby, you will pull through this. You're a very strong independent woman. You can do this, I'm with you now. I will not let you go, Marissa." He hugged me one last time and told me to wait for him in the car, while he changed his shirt and locked up.
We arrived at the hospital, that was when I looked at Nate. "The hospital? Nate? What the hell happened?" I was cold, my vision was blurry. I thought we were going to my dad's.
Albert was already waiting for me in the lobby. "Hurry Marissa, I'm so sorry my dear. But he's holding on, he's waiting for you."
I didn't understand what he was saying. But I went with him anyway. I was anxious about meeting dad.
What is really going on? Why wouldn't anybody tell me anything??
Nate was holding on to my hand, as we walked hurriedly through the hospital corridor. Then we stopped in front of the intensive care unit. That was when I saw him. Nate quickly holds my body, as I lost my strength to stand up. He helped me walk to his bedside.
"Dad...wake up, please...it's Marissa, your little monkey. Dad...please..."
Finally, Albert started talking, and explain to us about what had happened previously.
"Pamela, showed up at his house last night. She was looking for you and your dad. She was mad and went crazy, the house was a mess, and she finally shot your dad. She's in custody now. Raymond was stabilized when we called Nate to get you here. But his heart started to give up, he was asking for you. I'm so sorry Marissa."
I was crying on Nate's chest, as he kept on trying to calm me down, while my other hand was holding on to dad's.
And then I felt it, dad was moving his fingers, I think he was trying to squeeze my hand, but he was too weak.
"Dad...I'm here, I'm here dad...please...please...stay with me. I can't lose you too. Don't leave me..." I cried and sobbed at his bedside. He looked at me with his glassy eyes.
"Marissa, I'm glad that you're okay. I won't my little monkey. I'm going to survive this...." He coughed, then his machine let out loud irregular beeping sounds. Then the doctor and the nurses came running in and told us to back away, as they injected his IV with more medications and took his vitals. Then the sounds went to their steady beeping rhythm.
Nate was holding me in his arms when the nurse called for him. I was confused, but Albert took his place and comforted me in his arms.
The doctor explained to me and Albert about his current condition, but I could not focus, I kept on looking at dad and Nate.
"Nate, please take care of her. You have my blessing, just adore her and make her happy." I could hear dad talking to him like he was saying goodbye. I was holding on to Albert's shirt sobbing as my tears kept on falling. He was helping me to stand up.
Then dad called for me, Albert took me to his side. "Marissa, my little monkey. Please don't be sad baby, I might make this alive. But...just in case I won't Albert already had everything in order for you. You don't have to worry about anything. And I had my talk with Nate, I will haunt him if he wronged you in any way." He tried to smile, but he looks so pale like he was tired.
"The meds made me sleepy Marissa. So, kiss me, goodnight baby. I'll see you in the morning. I will be fine, I want to be fine for you. But if not, I've said my peace. I love you, my little monkey...I'll see you in the morning." He smiled as I kissed him goodnight. Then he fell asleep. His machine beeps at regular intervals, his chest rose up and down regularly.
That was when I fainted, it was all too much for me. I could see darkness and felt Nate's body as he took me in his arms.
"Rest baby, I'm here for you." I could hear Nate whisper in my ear.
