Louise's POV
It had been almost a week since he texted me, and I couldn't bring myself to reply to him. That night was really unexpected for me, I was truly afraid that I had open myself too much. But his demeanor was really easy going, and he didn't leave when there was no sex on the table. Instead, he stayed and we talk and kiss until dawn.
The model scares me.
"Louise? are you with us?" Jeff Rowland, one of our board members was calling me out of my thought.
"Yes, sorry I was thinking that we should hold a charity event. Obviously, we need The Technet to raise from the ashes. We'll call it the Phoenix project, or charity. I'm still not sure...what do you think?...."
Damn, I can't believe I zoned out in a board meeting.
The meeting ended two hours later, I was tired and hungry. But that day I was packed with meetings, Cherise had already set up my lunch when I was back to my office.
"Cherise, thank you for this...so, I need you to look up a venue for fifty to a hundred guests maximum. Preferably by the beach, search for a large garden with a sea view. Check some big hotel or a posh bed and breakfast...."
I put my tablet and note pad on my desk. Sighing, I took off my suit jacket and sit down on the sofa then start drinking god knows how much coffee of the day I've had already.
"We need to go big and represent Technet, making sure people would consider them for their next investment venture..."
"Right, and you need this by yesterday?" Cherise smiled warmly at me.
I laughed and give her my obvious yes. Cherise has been my loyal assistant since day one. She has been with me for the last seven years. Which was from my executive days, until I became one of the shareholders of the company out of sheer luck and my closeness to one of the previous shareholders.
Since then she had been keeping me in line, and checking off everything from my lists.
"Why don't I set up a couple of appointments, then we can do a coastal field trip? And you can see the venue...come on you need to relax. We could do a girls day and lounge by the seaside, drinking margaritas while sightseeing all those hotties in their Speedos."
"Cherise you're gay, and we're not in Brazil," I said rolling my eyes at the voluptuous chocolate goodness.
"But we can definitely do some R&R, just let me know. Jeff is piling Technet on my shoulder, so I have to make sure everything goes smoothly. And checking out the venue would actually be a great idea..." I paused to take a bite of my sandwich, while Cherise keeps on jotting down the details that I needed for the venue.
We would do this lunch slash meeting notation every couple of days of the week, where my hourly schedule is too full for me to even take a lunch break.
"So is my two o clock still on?"
"Is Cherise still you freaking fabulous assistant?"
"Woman, stop answering my questions with another question..." I laughed at her retort, and finish down my mineral water.
"God, I could use some sea air...I feel like a malnourished houseplant. Can you squeeze us in for lunch by the sea? we can spend the rest of the day there. I think I have a meeting with marketing and then HR in the morning? Oh and Jeff needed today's meeting report by tomorrow."
I sighed, while I start scrolling my phone for my schedule.
"That guy arghhh...as if he's going to read it. I swear he has been on my tail, ever since I take his son's place on the board."
"I think he also wants you in his bed, I see the way he scanned you every time you passed by." Cherise giggled while tidying up her stuff.
"Damn don't remind me...oh, the usual black coffee an hour into the meeting please... then you cut it off, and send in the next appointment in. I want to arrive at my parents on time." I know it was always a slim chance of that happening, but I still try every damn time.
I was back from my private restroom and put my suit jacket back on over my silk camisole, then I take my tablet and note pad and headed out to meeting room three.
The hours were grueling, but I love my job. It was seven when I finish everything and was finally on my way back to my parents.
"Louise...it's about time. Come, I still have dinner on the table. Your dad has been asking for you."
Every Monday and Thursday night, I would have dinner with my parents. Being an only child made me their precious one.
"I'm sorry mom..." putting down my purse, I hugged her tight.
Dad was having his dessert when he saw me. I picked up my pace and give him my bear hug.
"Okay you need to eat your dinner, you're getting too skinny. You work too much."
"Dad...you need to wear your glasses. I'm hardly skinny, mom...this is too much for me." I said laughing at the full plate of mashed potatoes, and meat chunks.
"Girl, I'm feeding you twice a week. Now eat." She said in her usual stern manner, making me smile on the inside. This is her Italian side showing off her motherly affection.
Dinner went on for two hours, I was beat when I retire back to my childhood room. I snuggled in and smell the familiar floral scent of detergent on my bedding. Smiling, I drifted off to sleep only to be woken up hours later for a late-night pee.
I cursed couple of times for bumping my big toes on the furniture until I made it to my bathroom and almost scream seeing that I was still wearing my makeup and supporting my messed-up ponytail.
Half an hour later I was clean and alert. I decided to scroll my phone and my eyes were averted to the unreplied text from the model.
Oh crap! I'm fucking doing this.

Okay...it took me almost a week but I finally replied.
But what I didn't expect was him calling me back for the text.
Double crap!
"I thought you have forgotten me."
"Mhm...I've been busy."
I was lulled by his sexy bedroom voice.
"Why are you still awake?" He asked while I was still amazed, that he was actually calling me.
"Late night urges a.k.a need to pee. Bumped my toes a couple of times and here I was texting you back. How about you?"
I could hear a chuckle from the other line. Damn. Even that sounds too fucking sexy.
"Well...actually another kind of late-night urges. But I don't want to bore you with my talk. So...tell me about your day? Did you think about me at all today?" he asked teasing me.
Damn, how can he know?
I paused before I answer his question, and it seemed that it was a mistake. He laughed on the other line.
"Damn...you did think about me, didn't you? Oh, Louise, you are in so much trouble the next time I see you."
We talked and laughed like there had never been a day passed between us. We finally hang up almost two hours later.
That night I did have a sweet dream. A dream about a certain male model named Allen.
