Vidhi's POV
" Shubh, this is Manyata, Vikram's cousin and you already know Vidhi. Manu, he is Shubh, my cousin. But just like you are very close to Vikram, we are also very close." Bhabhi said and smiled at him and they side hugged each other.
Manu smiled and said, " Hello ! " he just smiled back and nodded.
" Come Shubh, I was missing you already. It seems that you had telepathy. "
" Yeah... " He said and looked at me and averted his eyes as I was also looking at him.
We both were really awkward in presence of each other.
Manu went to the kitchen to prepare tea for him.
All of a sudden, Shubh said that he had to go but bhabhi didn't let him go. She also went to the kitchen to help Manu.
I just wanted to cry. He had come to meet her but wanted to go back as soon as he saw me. I was so excited to meet him and now...
" Hi... " He said giving me a faint smile.
" Hello... "
" How are you? " he asked.
" I am good. What about you??"
" I am good too. I didn't know, that you were in Delhi. "
" Yes, of course, I know that very well. "
" What does that mean??"
" Of course you didn't know that I was here. Or you would not have come. " He was shocked at what I said.
" Why are you saying that ?? "
" Is that not true??"
" No... "
" Please don't bother to lie. It won't hurt me now. I know that you hate me. You haven't forgiven me. "
" You think that I hate you????? How can you think like that?? I was never even angry with you. "
" Oh please... Let it be. " I just turned my back to him. But he came and stood in front of me.
" I don't hate you Vidhi... Tell me one good reason why I would. I can never hate you. "
" You avoided me for 3 months. I know I should not have slapped you. I did apologize... But I guess I don't deserve your forgiveness. Thanks for what you did for me. Try to forgive me if it is possible. Good luck with everything."
I turned to go but he caught my forearm and turned me back.
" Why are saying all that? "
" Leave me... You avoided me like hell, so now that we met accidentally, don't bother to show your concern. "
" Vidhi... What? "
" Oh yes, congratulations on your tremendous success. I am glad for you. May you get everything you want in your life. All the best. "
He was about to say something, but just then we heard bhabhi coming. He left my hand immediately. I moved away from him.
Shubh, see I got your favourite, Matar Kachori. " She said cheerfully.
" Wow! Great. " He said and tried to smile at her.
Just then the doorbell rang again and I ran towards the door. I just wanted to get away from there.
It was Bhai and he smiled and hugged me. I also hugged him tight.
" Hey !! Why didn't you inform us that you were coming? " he said after kissing my head.
" I wanted to give you a surprise. " I said with a smile.
" Are you alright?? You are not yourself... "
" No, I am fine Bhai. "
We both went inside and he was very happy to see Shubh and embraced him.
" What a pleasant surprise !! " Bhai said.
They started talking but I escaped to my room. Manu also came to the room and asked me about him but I was not in a mood to talk about him so I changed the topic.
I was already very upset since I saw him at the hotel with someone else. Manu was a very sensitive and sensible girl. She dropped the topic and I was thankful for that.
I could not sleep for the whole night. I felt bad. I didn't know what I wanted but I felt that I lost something.

It was morning, I got ready as I had to go for my practical classes again. I planned to leave everything aside and to get on with my life.
I went to the kitchen and saw that manu was helping bhabhi with breakfast and lunch. I told bhabhi that I was going for my work.
She insisted that I have breakfast first. I was not in a mood but ate as I didn't want to argue with her.
I left for the hotel again. Our whole group was there. We went to see how efficiently, every department was working. I took notes of that as well as all the good things I noticed. I wanted to learn everything to improve the management of our hotels.
It was almost lunchtime and just then I saw the same girl, who had met Shubh last day, coming into the hotel.
She said something to the manager and went to a table and took a seat. After about 2 minutes, Shubh came inside and joined her. Her face lit up and she gave him a very broad smile.
They were engrossed in talking when all of a sudden she shrieked and hugged him.
Oh God !!! Did he propose her?
But he was smiling while she hugged him. I just wanted to pull her out of his arms and throw her in the Pacific Ocean.
How can she hug him like that ?? And why was he smiling like that?? Why didn't he remove her arms immediately??
If I had done that he would have freaked out... Was he in love with her??
The waiter was coming towards them with their order. I also went towards them I don't know what happened to me but I just wanted to kill that woman, and all of a sudden my foot got twisted and I fell on the waiter and he got off-balanced and spilt the juice over her.
Everyone was shocked. Shubh asked her if she was alright, she nodded and glared at the waiter. She scolded him for being careless.
But as It was not his fault so I intervened. " I am sorry, it's not his fault, my foot got twisted and I fell on him. Please excuse him. " I said.
I was still sitting on the shining floor rubbing my foot. Shubh was extremely shocked and confused to see me there. It seemed as if a cat got his tongue.
" I am extremely sorry ma'am, sir. I spoilt your... Lunch. " I said.
" It's ok... Shubh, please excuse me, I need to go and clean this mess. "
" Yeah sure... " He said and she left.
" Vidhi... What are you doing here? He gave his hand to pick me up but I ignored it.
" How many times do I have to tell you, not to wear those killer heels. They will kill you someday. Why can't you wear flats?? You always keep twisting your feet. Why don't you understand anything? " He said scolding me.
He sat down near my foot and tried to rub my ankle, but I stopped him.
" What are you doing sir?? Please don't bother. I can manage on my own. "
" Sir ?? Are you serious?? So you don't even recognise me now ? " he said trying to remove my high heeled sandal from that foot.
" Don't touch me. " I pushed his hand and pulled my foot back.
" Shut up !! Cut your drama and sit still. " He caught my foot again.
" I don't need your help. I can take care of my self. " I said pushing his hands away.
" Yeah, I can see that. You can't even walk properly in them. Are you out of your mind?? Why do you wear them, if you can't walk straight in them?? "
" None of your business. Leave it. Please don't bother yourself for me. " I said and started getting up when he picked me up in his arms.
" Are you crazy?? Leave me right now." I said but he made me sit on the chair.
" Let me check if your foot is fine or not. "
" Don't bother, just go and help your friend. I can manage. I will call my b... "
" Vidhi... let's go and show it to some doctor. "
" Thanks a lot, sir, you have already done too much for me. I don't want to bother you again. "
" Stop calling me sir... It is irritating me. "
" Yeah... I am very irritating. Stop wasting your time with me. " I picked up my phone and dialled a number.
" Hi, Armaan... Could you please come to the restaurant? I need your help... Thank you. " I said and ended the call.
Shubh was really angry now. He was glaring at me.
