"When are you going to accept the fact that Kiara is dead and sulking because of her continuously isn't going to make her any happier than you are wherever she is."
"Watch it Nathan! Don't you think you're untouchable!" I yelled out those words as fast as the regret after it came.
Nathan looked shocked and I breathed out deeply, realizing I had said the wrong thing to him.
"I'm sorry," I apologized softly, but he simply shook his head and walked away before I could call him back.
I sighed and rested my palms on my waist.
Fuck! I shouldn't have said that to him. What was I thinking??
I sighed again and began to walk to my room. He also shouldn't have pestered me about a topic he knew I was sensitive to.
Natasha coming into my life was a complication I didn't ask for. If I took her with me to the Gala, so many people would see us together.
The press will be there taking pictures and everyone will assume that we are in a relationship. I certainly cannot take her with me tomorrow.

I certainly did. I climbed down from my car and Natasha climbed down too, walking on to the red carpet. She was dressed in a long red dress that had multiple folds towards the end and a slit on her left leg that reached a little above her knees. Her hair was packed into a bun and her lips were bright red in color.
I didn't want to bring her here with me, but Nathan already left when I woke up this morning.
Natasha came to me and told me that Nathan got her a dress and told her she was going with me to a Gala.
I didn't want to agree until I saw his text message on my phone saying he forgives me only if I can agree to go with Natasha.
Of course, I was so angry at first that he was threatening me, but when I calmed down, I agreed, just because Natasha already got ready to go out and I found it hard to say no.
The pressure on both sides was too much.
Just as I anticipated, there were multiple flashing of cameras and they all wanted to know who Natasha was.
"Mr. Rivera?? What do you think about the rescheduling of the Gala just ten days after the shooting and suicide of Secretary Carson?"
"Miss. Can we know your relationship with Mr. Rivera?"
I faced Natasha who seemed super nervous and I noticed that she was clutching her handbag so tightly as if it was her handbag.
"Ease up, they are watching your every move," I said, creating a telepathic link with Natasha. She faced me and slightly nodded before looking straight up again.
By doing that, I already made Natasha a member of the Black Cedar pack. I sighed..
We finally walked into the hall and I looked around, spotting the table where Viktor, Kara, and Landon were sitting.
I walked over there and pulled a sit back, sitting next to Viktor and sighing loudly.
"I need a drink."

"It's been almost an hour already and nothing is happening yet," I complained, leaning into the chair where I sat.
"I don't think this event was properly planned after what happened," Kara said, briefly looking up from her phone.
"So, Natasha, what's your Instagram username?" Kara quietly asked Natasha who was sitting next to her. Natasha nodded with a smile and she pulled her phone out of her purse.
I looked away and picked up the glass of wine on the table. I introduced her as a friend of me and Nathan and I could feel that she was unhappy about it despite how good she was at hiding it.
Good thing I don't care about how she feels. Yes, I don't.
Kara started talking to her immediately, Landon looked like he had questions, and Viktor - well, he has always been one to keep to himself.
I looked up as Viktor walked up to us after I had sent him to check with Xander what was happening.
"I just talked to Xander and he said everything is alright and that the show is about to begin," Viktor said, chuckling at his last words.
"Show?" Kara chuckled.
I looked as I saw that everyone in the hall suddenly stood up on their feets in unison - including Kara.
"What's happening??" I asked and stood up so I could check why all of them stood up, but there was nothing. It looked so creepy and I looked around the hall.
Slowly, everyone turned around to face us and their eyes looked void of life and emotion as they stared at us.
"Kara, what is happening??" I asked, but she simply stared at me. They all looked so robotic right now.
"Dante Rivera, you are about to he judged for your sins," everyone said in unison and I sighed as I realized what was happening.
"Well, it's one hell of a show," I shook my head and stood in a defensive position, my eyes fkeerin around to get ready for whatever was coming.
"What's this? Don't tell me that everyone here has been compelled," Landon said, standing up too.
"Well, that definitely explains the quick rescheduling of the Gala," I said, still looking around.
"Who did you offend?" Viktor asked.
"I might have facilitated the killing of Javier RedWood," I replied and Viktor and Landon looked so surprised.
I glanced at Natasha who was also standing in a defensive position.
They noticed it and they seemed surprised that she might have been the one who killed Javier, but everyone quickly went back to being at at alert.
All of a sudden, the door at the other end of the hall burst open and I watched as several Vampires stepped in.
"Ummm. Are you sure that Javier really died??" Landon asked and I saw Javier walk in with all of the Vampires.
Shit! This isn't happening. This isn't fucking happening. Fuck!
