With a vile in his hand, the red-scaled Granian poured the contents of said vile—his blood—into a tube that would feed it to Ace’s body.
Together with his assistants, the Granian watched as the blood sipped into Ace’s body. What was different about this incident was the fact that his blood was laced with Eneraflux, so hopefully, the odds of Ace’s revival would be increased in his favor. However...
"His body’s rejecting the blood," one of the assistants cried out as the three tubes, which emptied their contents into Ace’s body, spewed everything out in quick succession, "everything’s coming out. Is it..."
"No, it can’t be," Gravax complained as his eyes watched what he feared taking place, "it can’t be. His body was still warm when I picked him up...it hasn’t been too long since he died!!"
"Lord Gravax," they asked, "what does this mean? Is he..."
"His blood’s coagulating. It’s a thing that happens to human bodies when they die," he answered rather harshly while desperately trying to rectify the problem, "and because of the planet’s atmosphere and conditions, he’s decaying much faster than I expected. It’s not supposed to happen!!"
As he spoke, the assistants witnessed Ace’s body deteriorate even further. His muscles shriveled at an alarming rate while his skin started to peel and dissolve in the tank’s contents.
His hair fell off his head and his facial muscles contorted, making way for his skull to be clearly seen.
The Granians started to panic as they desperately tried to save what was left of the Human. They emptied the tank as quickly as possible before removing his body from said tank and placing it on the operation table.
His wet, partially skinless, bony body continued to deteriorate, and more chunks continued to fall off and dissolve into a jelly-like substance. It was horrifying to look at, not to mention the disgusting smell that came from it.
"What’s happening to him?" the assistants cried, fearing that this could be the final time any of them would see Ace’s body before he dissolved into a giant clump of jelly. "How can we stop this!!"
"Asking questions won’t do anything!!" Gravax, who had stepped out momentarily, returned with a canister filled with a freezing component. He aimed its nozzle and sprayed the component on what was left of Ace’s body, that’s if you could call it a body at that point.
"It’s hopeless," Gravax whined bitterly as he dropped the canister, "there’s nothing else we can do other than preserve his corpse. Curses, why didn’t I listen when Lord Grania instructed me to evacuate the huma..."
"LORD GRAVAX!!" the assistants shouted with utter horror in their voices. They pointed at the frozen corpse which was still, as you guessed it, deteriorating. This time, however, it didn’t turn into jelly but into scarlet red glowing blood.
Faster than they could blink, Ace’s body turned into a puddle of blood with a beautiful, metallic red. It was pleasing to look at, at first, but the fact that it was moving didn’t sit well with the Granians.
"Move back!!" Gravax muttered and they all listened. As they did, the blood started to expand, its volumes breaking through the frozen barrier. In an instant, the lab was filled with a bright but dark at the same time gust of light that nearly blinded them all.
With it came a great force of wind which spun like a whirlwind, picking up every light thing with it.
The sight, though terrifying to the assistants, was a glorious one to behold. It was horrendous but at the same time...almost divine. Lord Gravax, being the only one brave enough to watch, smiled with great joy as his eyes witnessed the horrific whirlwind of blood continue to expand.

As it did, the light started to change from a bright red to a dark scarlet color. It continued expanding in volume, width, and ominosity. Eventually, the beautiful sight became horrid for it took the life of one of the assistants.
The unsuspecting Granian, who had ventured too close, was ripped apart and turned into a whisp of blood and flesh which added to the whirling blood’s size.
The others quivered with fear as the scene continued to change. The light shone brighter and darker at the same time, eventually creating a beam that stretched to the sky.
Dust rose from the base of the whirling blood as clouds started to darken the skies. And these weren’t your average clouds but rather clouds that were as dark red as the blood itself.
"Evacuate immediately!!" Gravax, fearing for his life and the lives of his assistants, ordered them to escape while they still could, but it was too late for some.
Two spiraling tendrils of blood shot from the whirling blood and pierced into two more bodies, immediately dissolving them into scarlet-red blood. The rest feared and ran with terror written in their eyes.
Gravax, on the other hand, bravely remained dangerously close to the whirling blood. Instead of running like the others, he patiently waited to see one person in particular; the Blood Bishop.
Even though this was an encouraging sight to behold, he needed to be sure this was truly Ace and also needed to know he was in control, and not someone, or something, else.
"ACE!!" the Granian shouted as he pushed closer to the whirling blood, "ACE!! CAN YOU HEAR ME? IS IT YOU IN THERE!!! ACE!!!"
As much as he yelled, Gravax received no response. Having already ventured deep into the whirling blood, Gravax inched closer to the center in search of the Blood Bishop. If he failed to find Ace, he was going to personally put an end to this.
Gravax feared that he may have revived something that could end him and his people so he needed to be one hundred percent sure.
"Gravax!!" at last, a voice called out the Granian’s name, but it wasn’t calming just yet. "Where is she?"
"ACE??" he called out, speaking to the multitude of voices that spoke to him. "WHEN DID YOU LEARN THE GRANIAN TONGUE?"
"Answer my question." the loud voices snapped, eventually scaring Gravax to point in Ely’s direction since he already knew who Ace asked about.
"ACE, WAIT, I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS!!" Despite his attempts to calm Ace down, it was too late. The whirling blood had already vanished to the sky and moved to the battle field where the High Grade was.
Even though the scene was frightening, Gravax was relieved and more importantly, pleased with himself. He had managed to revive Ace but...
