BLOOD MUTANT SYSTEM. Chapter 396

[Gravax’s Mobile Lab] The rıghtful source is 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢·𝔫𝔢𝔱 A few hundred meters away from the battlefield sat Lord Gravax’s mobile lab, a semi-large box filled with all his equipment and test subjects. This allowed him to carry out his side quests even in the midst of war. It was in this lab that the Granian studied many of Ace, Cherry, Anya, and Jim’s abilities, mainly the cloning abilities they had. For weeks, the Granian spent majority of his time in the lab, often neglecting other things he had to do. Why did he do so? Because he was looking for a way to clone his own people. Sure, Granians already knew how to make clones but it wasn’t as effective as one would have hoped. Every clone they made could not survive for more than seventy two human hours and was incapable of making independent decisions, or even processing simple instructions. These clones were worse than mindless beasts and it was the reason that they, the Granians, only used said clones when raiding an incredibly weak planet. But that was going to change--well, that was what Gravax wanted to change. Already impressed by the way the Ethisians and YYrejites managed to crack cloning, he worked tirelessly to harness that own skill for his people with the help of the Blood Mutant’s abilities acting as a conduit to his efforts. Surprisingly, Gravax did not just stop on learning how to clone. Since his studies involved the Blood Mutants, he often discovered odd traits in their DNA. The Granian got to know so much about them that he almost basically understood Blood Mutant DNA from the inside out. And that was why he was more than confident that he alone could revive Ace. ’This will work.’ The Granian, who had carried Ace through the vast stretch of land on his back, finally arrived at his lab where his distraught assistants welcomed him. Word has already gotten to them about Ace’s unfortunate condition, so they began to prepare accordingly. "Lord Gravax," they greeted, "we’ve already prepped the lab for you. The container’s ready." "Good work," he said while placing Ace’s lifeless, limp body on the operating table that sat in the center of the mobile lab, "organize for me two prototypes, one Granian and another Human." Gravax’s assistants quickly got to work and began moving about in the lab. The lab itself was well-lit with cove lights that glowed a cool light blue color, accenting everything in the lab that was either colored dark blue or light and dark gray. At the back of the lab were four cylindrical containers, all perfectly sized for the Humans in case they needed to be dipped in the middle of War. The containers also had cove lights at the bottom and top with a faint white light lighting them. At the moment, only one of the four containers was empty for the others had a Granian-like creature, a human-like creature, and what looked like a mix between a human, Granians, and Blood Mutant floating in the green liquids. So far, these were what Lord Gravax had managed to clone so far. Although the clones were far from perfect, he was getting closer and closer to fully cracking the secret to cloning. Sadly, the Granian did the unthinkable and started to break down the clones’ DNA codes and redirected them to Ace. At that moment, the Blood Bishop’s lifeless body was thrown into a cylindrical container and filled with green liquids. Even though he was dead, his body responded to the healing attributes of the liquids for the wounds inflicted by the High Grade started to close. Once more, his ashy, pale skin developed color, a sign that perhaps revival was truly possible. "His body’s reacting well with the healing agents in the liquids," Gravax, exhausted but relieved, sighed with a slight smile growing on his face, "there is hope after all. This human will be revived." The Granian got to work straight away. He moved up, down, left, right, and center all over his lab, mixing viles, turning knobs, pressing buttons, and filling/emptying containers repeatedly. To his assistants, he looked like a madman desperately trying to bring something back that was already gone. Even though, they understood Gravax’s reasoning for doing what he did and they knew he was fully immersed in his work. Nothing could stop him now. "The first piece of the equation," he spoke while carrying a syringe in one hand and holding up his other hand, "Eneraflux did this to him, and so it’ll undo it again." The Granian increased his energy output as he pushed the needle into his big, bulgy veins. Without hesitation, he collected a large sample of his energy-induced blood and stared at it for a while. The green blood glowed, which was odd because Granian blood never glowed unless it came from an active Eneraflux user. But this was different. It didn’t just glow the same color as his aura, it glowed a bright green like your stereotypical vile of radioactive uranium or toxic ooze. "I pray this works." He sighed again while pouring his blood into one of the three tubes that fed Ace’s body with human and Granian blood and Blood Mutant DNA. Together with his assistants, they watched as the tube slowly delivered all of Gravax’s blood into the human’s body. They each waited anxiously, desperately itching to see something happen. But could anything happen at this point? ********************* Those were the last words Ace’s eyes read from his system before everything went dark on him. He remembered seeing his Health Points drop rapidly as all the life from his body drained almost instantly. And when all of that ended, his last notification from his system was one congratulating him on his death. After dying, the Blood Bishop expected his eyes to be nearly blinded by the white lights one’s supposed to see when their spirit leaves their body. But maybe that was asking too much. After all, his whole brand was built around killing so perhaps the amber lights followed by deep wails of agony and torment were more fitting for him. ’This must be hell, right?’ he thought while finding himself floating through a dark, soulless void with rivers of blood and bodies of his victims all around him. Ahead of him was a mound collected together in the shape of a throne of sorts, and seated on that throne was none other than the Blood God himself, Vorathrax. ’I’m definitely in hell.’ "You finally died," the Blood God said, his head resting on his hand as he remained seated on his throne, "now we can truly begin what I intended in the first place."
