We were heading to something I didn't know, but I just looked at the road we were taking down, but then I knew I was stiff and very nervous.
"Mama toys," said Steve suddenly, and I was surprised.
I didn't teach Steve to change what he was going to call me tonight, but I just didn't deny it and gave him a clownfish stuffed toy that was in my sling back pack. Even though it's not a good fashion match for a back pack paired with a simple royal blue dress, I don't have a care. He's the only one who we'll visit.
"Oh, so she calls you mama?" He asked me, and I nodded my head.
Then he smirked, and something about that smirked felt dangerous, causing my heart to beat as loud as it was. Maybe later he would hear too, and it's embarrassing because I was so tough when we first met and didn't want to be involved with him. And perhaps he thought I was already head over heels in our first meeting.
"Can I call you too?" he asked, which made me flush, obviously. Then he stopped the car.
I was surprised when he suddenly came down while smirking, and that made me blush more and grasp the end of my dress. Then he took Steve out and opened the door for me.
"I'm sorry, okay," he said to me and asked for my hand, but I didn't take it.
"It's okay, but why here?" And as I looked at this large house with a three-story structure,
"Ah, we're here at my house. It's also convenient even if you take Steve or nah, " he says.
And I was thinking if this is how he treats all the women who were with him, he knows how to flirt, but I can't really get it out of my mind that my son and him really look exactly like them, especially now that Steve is in his arms while entering the huge house.
I won't be surprised if his house is like this. Jame's house wasn't this big and it was super cozy. But maybe they really live differently and they're not used to having small houses. I even lived in a place like this once before.
"Take your seat," he said sparingly, but he picked up Steve and went inside.
Then, as he returned after getting out of the room he had once entered, he brought a high baby chair with a tray and put Steve there. He is no longer a child to be put there, but I appreciated everything he did, first in the car and now at the dining table. He does care, and that was my answer after all.
But I still don't like the idea that he's this rich, and the main reason is to focus on Steve.
I was also surprised when he suddenly clapped twice, and guys with white uniforms came out of that specific door, and they brought food, including chocolate pudding for dessert, my favorite, and some baby food for Steve, just like last time.
Different types of dishes were lying in front of me, but that carbonara caught my eye and magnetized it towards it. Then suddenly, he approached me as he gave me the plate full of carbonara.
And I smiled. I was thinking of any possible way to keep him away from me, so I made a show. I halved the carbonara and took a t-bone stake and placed it on my plate. He was just laughing, but I ignored it.
"Thanks for the food." I told him
I took the largest bite I could possibly take. Even if I look ugly, I just need to turn him off, but in fairness, the cooking was so delicious, and I turned my attention to Steve. I saw this guy was attending to him, so I just let him go.
"I'm sorry to ask this, but did you ask that guy for some permission to be here?" He asked me
"Who Christian?" I asked, and his jaw clenched.
I don't know what happened to them before, but this vibe will not make them friends at all. Liam focused on his food, and I did the same.
He also assisted Steve in eating, who had already disliked his food after a few attempts, possibly because he was already full, and asked to come down to the living room next to the dining area.
Then, after he attended to my son's needs, he released documents and even signed papers that showed he was serious about supporting Steve's scholarship until he graduated. It was a nice offer, but why?
"Are you serious?" I asked him, and I was about to tell him that it would cost a lot of money, but he is obviously rich.
"Yes, I already signed those papers and it is unavoidable. Your signature will be the key for us to fulfill it. Your nephew's future will be secured." He told me, and he is not wrong, that this is a great opportunity for Steve.
"It's not that I doubt you, but it looks like I'm doubting you now, but I don't know what's running through your mind." Maybe later, when I sign this paper, you'll think I'm just chasing you for your money. " I told him
"I don't mind. I have enough to give you and Steve, anyway. And I won't consider it as you're just after my money. If that's what you are after, you wouldn't be working on a bar to support the both of you." He said, and I just looked at him.
"Besides, I grew fond of him. That is why I am doing this," he said to me.
Then I took the decision to accept it wholeheartedly and signed those papers that were handed to me when suddenly he picked up Steve, who suddenly fell asleep on the sofa, and I also stood up to follow them after I finished signing the papers, and I saw in the room where he brought Steve was a room for a baby boy, and it creeped me out, but I was a little touched by his actions, and thought if it's been in his house for a long time, but I didn't ask, and Jenny's words came to me when we were talking that I should take every opportunity for Steve and I should do what I ought to do.
"Ahm," I said as he tucked Steve into his blanket.
"If Steve happens to not have a dad, why did you sign up for it?" I asked him while leaning on the side of the door looking at them.
Then he suddenly approached me and held my waist and pulled me towards him, and he said
"Because it was you," he says.
He kissed my lips, which sent electric signals all over my body. I tried to stop him, but my arms became weak and he didn't stop, and my eyes were wide open. I got really weak and opened my mouth for him, letting him explore me. I felt the heat on my cheek and he was already touching my butt.
"Mama? water. " Steve said that made us both get some distance from each other.
And I noticed that, behind his masculine side, he can definitely blush.
