Midzy's Point of View
That brat thought maybe she could stay at the same level as me. I can't believe that she's still clinging to something I used to have.
"Are you sure it's Violet?" Mom asked while brewing coffee.
"Mom, didn't you hear what I just said? Yes, it's Violet." I told her, and she was just looking at me, so I glared at her.
"What?!"
"Nothing, it's just that why do you care? It's only Violet." Mom chuckled, thinking that I would go that low for Violet.
"Yes, Violet with Liam Dawnson!" I said to her.
I don’t know how to express how annoyed I am with what happened to me. A rat? I can't believe that that guy stood up for something like Violet, but how did he know that I'm his sister and is that the reason he canceled our arranged marriage? To marry that pick-me-girl wannabe?
"Liam--who?" Mom asked and I just rolled my eyes at her.
"Liam Rain Dawnson, that man who's incredibly rich but infamous, Mom, come to your senses, he's with Violet!" I shouted at her. And that's when Mom woke up. She shouted, which shocked me.
"What!? Why is she with that man? "
"That was the catch. Why? Why is she with him? This can't be happening! I should be in her place! " I said to Mom.
"Calm down, sweetie, talk to Dad okay? You know he can still find a way for you, hmmm." My mom said as she stroked my hair.
I was pissed. I couldn't be bothered and was itching to tell that guy that that woman was pregnant by another man.
"Don't worry, Mom; remember when we looked into Violet?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Earth to Mom! We can use that against her and---" I said to her while gesturing my hand to continue what I was going to say, and she was just thinking.
"Use it against her. Thanks for the help, Mom." Midzy said
I walked toward the window and smirked. I don't know, but that's an easy win for me. Who would want a maiden with a child before they even get married? No one.
Daniel, on the other hand, heard everything but could do nothing, regretting that he should have listened to his daughter that they were just after my money, but I was so blind and thirsty for something that my late wife Brynn could no longer provide.
He wished that if he could turn back his time where he could still get out of his house, he would have met his daughter. If only he hadn't poisoned the maginang he had adopted, things would have been different.

Lily's Point of View
What he said was like music to my ears. I just looked at him and I couldn't believe what he said. What did he have to say? What do I need to know? Why did he say that to Midzy? Those were the questions that played on my mind.
"You can explain everything to me now." I said
I was telling myself that this could be my chance to find out why he knows my stepsister, because if he knows, there's a good chance he's just fooling me and making me look stupid because he's known me all along.
"Are you sure?" he sparingly answered me.
I was still thinking and I didn't know what to do as I was looking at him, not sure what was going on in his mind, but I was trying to convince myself that no matter what his answer was or what he said, I'll try to calm down and stay calm as much as possible and don't have to jump to conclusions.
"Yes, I am sure." I told him
Although I'm nervous, I still can't get it out of my mind that I saw Midzy inside that restaurant, and I know how that woman runs her brain, so if anyone says anything to Liam, I should say it myself.
"Are you okay?" he asked
"It's like you saw a ghost!" He said to me, then started laughing. And I was looking at him confused, but because he was laughing, we looked at each other.
"Yah! What's so funny? " I asked as I faked my laugh while slapping his arm because I was so ashamed of what was going on around us.
But as I was looking around, I was pushed by a force and I was tossed into Liam’s arms and my heart started to beat fast.
"I'm just making you laugh, but by the looks of it, you don't seem to be laughing. You're rather embarrassed." He said it in a whisper. So I glared at him for teasing me, and he chuckled again.
"I didn't know that you can also look like a brat," he said, making me laugh.
I just gave him a questioning look on my face.
"Because you look like an angel all the time," he said, and I was speechless.
And then he pulled me into a hug, not minding those people that walked by us, and I somehow felt safe, safer than my house had provided me.
"It's okay if you're not okay with saying everything. I won't judge you." He told me and he took me away from him.
"Just tell me when you are ready." He said to me.
And I was amazed at how and why now I just noticed his appearance, how his almond eyes were so beautiful and how he was smiling towards me, melting my heart.
Am I crazy? What is wrong with me? I kept on denying this feeling towards him, but today it was super hard to fake and not think of.
"Okay, but do you know her?" I asked him to make it not so obvious.
"I don't know if I'm supposed to tell you this in the middle of the crowd, but I will let you wonder for a second." He said
"I was in an arranged marriage with her, but I declined because I wasn't ready for that at that time." He said.
And I was confused. I don't want to think that maybe he is the infamous billionaire who should marry me, but it can't be. Especially since Dad can partner with her on a lot of billionare heirs. Yes, Violet, let's not overdo it.
"Can I ask when did what you say happen, like what year?" I asked him again, and I'm hoping it's not obvious.
"Like the year 1997," he said sparingly.
And I was dumbfounded. It couldn't be right that he was that. The one I was supposed to marry way back 3 years ago.
He can't be.
