I lay awake in bed making escape plans, despite Arsen's warning. I didn't know what I was supposed to do here, nor why he was telling me all this. But in addition to these strange feelings, he also scared me. And I didn't want to stay with someone I'm scared of. I've been living with someone who scared me for far too long.
I looked at the balcony. Is it possible to climb down somehow? But where should I go then? Certainly not home to my father. Maybe to Steven? If Steven was okay at all, because that very question was the worst that tormented me.
I straightened up, but then my eyes went back to my broken leg. I wouldn't get very far in this state and I didn't even want to imagine the consequences if they found me.
So I let myself sink back into the mattress and closed my eyes. Maybe sleep could do me good.
I was about to fall asleep when I heard noises, so I got up and hobbled to the door. I put my ear to this to listen.
Then I could match the noises.
Loud moans from a woman could be heard and I was pretty sure they were coming from Arsen's room. Was that his mate? Certainly. Who else?
I hobbled back to the bed and tried to sleep again. The noise made it a bit difficult, but eventually I somehow fell asleep.

I woke up to the rays of the sun tickling my nose.
I looked at the ceiling and then my gaze wandered around the room. When I then noticed a person at the door and first cried out in shock.
"Morning", whispered Arsen's rough morning voice "I hope you slept well".
I didn't answer that but got out of bed to go to the bathroom. What is he imagining, watching me sleep? He's really creepy.
"My t-shirt suits you," he said, pointing to the t-shirt he gave me yesterday. I had been wondering who it was from. Now I knew the answer, which I didn't like at all.
In the bathroom I undressed and then took a long, warm shower before stepping out of the shower and realizing that I hadn't brought anything to wear with me. What a crap too! It was clear that something like this would only happen to me again.
So I wrapped my towel around my body and poked my head out the bathroom door. Luckily there was no arsenic in sight, so I stepped outside and went to the door next to it.
I assumed there was a wardrobe behind it and I was right. Unfortunately for me, there weren't any things in here. Why did I also think that there were things in there. After all, all my things were still at my house.
"Hey, I brought you some clothes," I heard Arsen's voice behind me, fading towards the end.
I cried out in shock while turning to look at him with wide eyes.
As I looked into his face, his eyes went black again and he licked his lips while his eyes traveled over my body and settled on my breasts. What a perv...
Only then did I look down and realized that I had accidentally dropped my towel. Oh god I'm naked! IN FRONT OF ANOTHER MAN!!!
"Close your eyes!" I commanded immediately, grabbing my towel and wrapping it back around me.
He just kept staring at me with those jet black eyes, so I grabbed the clothes from his hand and took them back to the bathroom to change.
Hard to believe he just saw me naked. Can't this whole situation get any more awkward?
When I stepped out of the bathroom this time, Arsen was standing with a tray in his hand, which he then set down on the desk to the right of the door.
"I brought you breakfast. I hope you like cocoa." He said before handing me a cup.
I gratefully took the cup from him and took a sip of this delicious warm liquid. It reminded me again of my mom, who made the tastiest cocoa on earth.
"How old are you anyway?" he asked casually while watching me eat.
However, I didn't want to answer him. First he should answer my questions before I answer anything to him. I still didn't know exactly why he kept me captive here.
"Okay, then at least tell me who hurt you so much? Was that your father?" But again I didn't answer and instead looked at my now almost empty plate. I didn't feel comfortable talking about my father, because bad memories that used to be my life come back to me with him.
"Answer me when I talk to you!" came his stern voice. Why does he remind me so much of my father?
Tears welled up in my eyes again as I turned my head away from Arsenic. He shouldn't see how weak and broken I really am.
'ANSWER ME,' my father's voice echoed in my head and I winced.
"I'm sorry," Arsen said, and he left the room. Of course, he locked the door again. I hadn't expected anything else.
