It's been on my mind for a few days now.
I tried to distract myself. Try to forget her To pretend I never met her. But that just didn't work. Why does not it work?!
I tried lots of sex, which is what I always do when I want to distract myself. But every time I had to think of her again. I pictured her lying beneath me, moaning my name as I cum inside her.
'Fuck,' I cursed inwardly. All I wanted was her. My thoughts revolved only around seeing her again, and I didn't even know her name. He must be beautiful. Why didn't I ask for their names? why did i run away Why why why???
I knew I couldn't go another day without her. I was going insane inside. I have to go to her!
However, my thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my office door.
"Arsenic, can we talk?" Costa asked me via mindlink.
"Sure, come in!" A moment later, my beta enters my office. Maybe he managed to get my mind off things.
"Listen Arsenic..." he started and paused. "I'm worried about you. You haven't been yourself for a few days." I should have known that Costa might notice something. But how do I tell that I found my mate? How should I explain to him that she is a weak little person? It makes me look weak. But of one thing I was absolutely sure. I wouldn't want to live without her. It's like I've found a lost part of my soul that I never realized was missing until I met her. And now I can't stop thinking about her.
That's why I made a decision.
I turned away from Costa and looked out the window next to my desk.
"Costa, I want you to find out everything you can about this girl I spared at the Summers! I want you to hire someone to keep an eye on her! Not that she gets any stupid ideas." I knew I was taking a risk if I let her live. But there was no way I would wish her dead. It would only bring me down.
"Is she the problem why you're not in it? If so, then I wonder why you didn't just get rid of them. At least then you wouldn't have to worry about her spilling anything," Costa continued. Still, it made me angry with the disgust he spoke about her. She was human, but my mate. Nobody talked about it like that my mate!
I stood up in one jerky movement and was at my beta in a matter of seconds. I grabbed his collar, lifted him a few inches off the ground, and growled at him. I looked deep into his eyes and could detect a hint of fear.
He was my best friend. Why am I doing this? I'm really out of my mind...
I let him down again.
"OUT!!!" was all I could say in my anger. This girl is driving me nuts. I want to see her.
As soon as he was behind the door, I, too, ran out of my office into the forest surrounding the pack house.
I turned into my wolf and started running.
I knew my destination very well and if I kept running at this monkey speed, I would be there in a few hours.

Luckily, her house was on the edge of the forest, which made it easier for me to observe her unobtrusively. It was already dark, which was good. Because my black fur could camouflage me well.
But unfortunately there was no window open on the forest side. All the windows were curtained, making it impossible for me to see inside. So I pricked up my wolf ears instead.
"AURELIA, cook me something to eat!" an awkward male voice yelled. The slurring suggested he was drunk. I hope this is an exception. Because how could my innocent little mate live with someone like that?
And then I understood what he was saying.
Aurelia. Her name was Aurelia. A beautiful name. It had to be her name. That's what my heart just said to me as I let the name roll through my head. He was like music to my ears. Just thinking about her made my body tingle all over and my heart beat faster.
"Of course Dad," said an incredibly soft female voice. I loved that voice from the first moment and I had to think how it would sound if she said my name.
From the way my body reacted to that voice, I knew it had to be hers.
But just hearing them wasn't enough for me. I wanted to see her. So I took the risk of being seen and sneaked around the house to maybe discover an open window. And indeed, luck was on my side.
On the other side of the house, facing the street, was a window without a curtain. The moment I looked at it, the light went on in this room.
Judging by the cupboards hanging on the wall, I figured it was the kitchen.
But then I finally saw her...
She entered the kitchen. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good look at them because of the dimmed light, so I wanted to get closer. I just need to take a closer look at her. Look into her ocean blue eyes again, from which I never wanted to emerge again.
Due to my carelessness, I noticed much too late that a black jeep was stopping behind me.
Fuck someone might spot me.
I was relieved to discover that it was just one of the Summers' sons. At least that way I didn't have to kill anyone just because I wasn't careful. I didn't have nerves for that today.
When the Summers boy saw me you could see the shock in his eyes.
I guess that meant he had to be here for her, which made me wonder. What does he want from my mate? Surely he isn't her boyfriend?
Just that thought made my body seethe with anger.
The Summers boy, Steven, bowed to me and tilted his head to let me see his throat. Then he spoke completely in panic. "A-alpha, II beg you to spare her. She-she is innocent and has nothing to do with any of this. I promise she doesn't know anything about us."
He wanted to continue, but I interrupted him via Mindlink. "Follow me! I don't want anyone else to see us." And then I ran back into the woods before anyone human actually sees me. I really didn't get nervous about that. It pissed me off anyway that Steven was distracting me from my mate. I really wanted to see her...
Steven followed me and tried again. "Please, she..." But I didn't let him talk any further.
"I'm not going to kill her. Unless you keep bugging me." Of course, I won't even be able to harm her hair, but he didn't need to know that right away.
he asked, stuttering. How can a werewolf be so insecure. We werewolves are a strong race. Even though I'm his alpha, I should let him show a little masculinity and strength. I wouldn't put it past this wimp that he'd start crying.
"No! But I want an explanation. What do you have to do with this human?" I was already wondering why the Summers had a human in their house. Just please, don't be her boyfriend. Then there are still dead people today.
"She's just a good friend of mine. Apart from that, she only has her dad in her life, nobody else. So if they want to punish someone, it's me." Oh believe me, I would have loved to do that. But she seemed to care about him and for a moment I wished I could be him.
Then I had the idea to continue distracting from what I'm really here for.
"Listen Steven! I want you to watch her!" I demanded now. He was already a part of her life, so he could get closer to protect her. And I can sell it as just keeping an eye on her should.
"Yes Alpha" Steven said and then I left to run back to the packhouse. At least I could hear her voice and find out her name.
Nevertheless, jealousy spread in me. Although I had given this Steven the task of looking after her, he was still much closer to her than I am at the moment. I want to be the one who is close to her. But that will have to wait if I can ever be close to her at all.
We come from different worlds. She's so innocent and tender and not meant to live in my world.
