Chapter 37
"Sit back you asshole!! Are you trying to get me killed?!" A hard force to his chest and he is collapsing back to his bed with a loud groan escaping his lips,
"I need to see the Queen, I have to be there to protect her!!" Asher was as stubborn as an untamed dog, he refused to rest, take medicines to get better. He was more worried about Arcadia for no reason. And this was giving Sheila a headache as she was in charge of his well being in the mean time.
"Man you're worse than Loki!!" She pulls her magenta hair from her skull, taking some stands in her hands, she gasps, "you're making me lose hair!! You good for nothing canine!!" She grabs his neck and chokes the life out of him, but Asher was more concerned with the name she mentioned so even as she strangled him he still had a sly smirk on his lips.
"Loki huh? I've not heard about him," he coughs violently but still managed a smile, "I don't know anyone named Loki here, or is it a nickname?" He wiggles his eyebrows like a fool an Sheila is seriously considering killing him,
"You're an idiot Ash! I can't understand what the Queen sees in you." She grabs the cup of medicine, "drink it or I would slit your throat and pour it in myself!" Her power was already clouding her orbs,
"Ohh!! I'm so scared!!" He feigns before laughing her to scorn, "I want to see the Queen, only then would I take my medicine." He throws his head aside as he folded his arms, making an unnecessary demand.
"You little brat!!" She growls before strangling him again but he was laughing,
"What is going on here?"
She freezes at the sound of Arcadia's voice, she looked at him in angered fear, no wonder he was laughing, then he begins to cough and groan,
"Your majesty!! He was being stubborn! Always requesting to see you when he knows you're busy." She defends herself but the practiced look of pain on Asher's face only took the Queen's sympathy,
"I asked you to take care of him not kill him, we are getting a new doctor today, it seems that old hag doesn't want to contribute to my kingdom." She nags her personal assassin and this pissed her off, "how are you Ash?" She takes some steps to him and settles on his bed. He sniffs loudly to make it look like he's been crying,
"She was so mean...and...and....I just wanted to see you....." he says between sniffs, being as dramatic as ever, Sheila flashes her fan in front of him and he knew he would have that blade in his ass if he wasn't careful with her.
"I know you have been giving her a hard time, take your medicine." She lifts the cup and brings it closer to his lips, his face squeezes in discontent; it was so bitter.
"I don't want it." He pushes it aside,
"This is exactly what I was talking about!! Just force it down his nostrils!!" Her outburst only makes Arcadia laugh loudly,
"You know the way men are, he needs to be pampered, leave us, I would handle it. Thank you for taking care of him in my absence." She smiles at her before she took a bow and turned to the door, but she would get him back for it.
Once the door shut, her once sweet appearance turned hard, he knew he was done for,
"Your Ma—" she grabs his neck making him choke,
"I don't have time for your excuses, this is the third time, take this without complaints or I would give you something to complain about." She smiles caustically as she poured the bitter mixture down his throat.
He gags and chokes and holds his chest for relief but it was already in him and he felt like puking it out,
"I hope the new doctor makes better medicine, this thing tastes like it was used by the ancestors." He grabs the sheets to wipe his tongue, but he couldn't get the taste out. He had been traumatized.
She passes him berries to chew on to get rid of the taste, but he still didn't like how harsh she was,
"You could've been nicer you know?" He rolls his eyes in a feminine manner and this makes her smirk, she pulls him too close but his pout turned to a smirk,
"I don't need to be a certain way around you...." She kisses his upper lip and presses further into his body, he deals with her lower lip and his hands slither round her frame,
"I feel much better now, why didn't you just do that in the first place?" He questions sarcastically after they break the kiss and it forces giggles out of her,
"You shouldn't be a soldier Asher, maybe a jester instead." She laughs to her heart's content,
"I'll be anything for you my Queen." He teases her and she pushes his big head away, "have they been eliminated?" He pops a berry in his mouth as he suddenly switched,
"Yes....we would take a walk round the town so you would see heir remains littered everywhere. The people did more of the work for us, it was something beautiful." She sighs satisfactorily.
"Where you present at the execution?" He puts another berry in his mouth but she wanted that one, that one in his mouth,
"Hmm, just got back," he couldn't take his eyes off her lips but he noticed she had the stench of blood around her and stains were also visible,
"Did you participate?" Her lips smash into his, and they lip wrestle just to to get the berry, he moans slightly as she began to play with his tongue, stealing the berry from his mouth. She chews like a Victor but he is more concerned with her lips,
"Yes, I even got a souvenir." She was excited and she brings out eye balls, "this is Mazi's and this is Azeah's." She flashes the organs with a proud smirk,
"And where's mine? I wanted something too." She rolls his eyes at his demand,
"You can have the old man's eyes!" She quickly gets rid of that one as it didn't interest her much,
"Give me something else instead." His silver orbs began to flash a certain emotion but she hadn't noticed it yet,
"And what's that?" She takes his bunch of berries and begins to eat them since he was too slow in doing so, "you know I would give you anything the moment you ask for it, as long as it's not too ambiguous and I know you're not that kind of person. So tell me Asher, what would you love?" She throws a berry in her mouth,
"You.....for an hour."
And she chokes on it, endless possibilities running through her mind at lightning speed, her cheeks begin to color,
"Are you sure that's what you want?" She was thinking of the deed, her frame under is was something she was been dreaming of for a while now,
"It's just a hour your majesty, I want to spend time with Arcadia and not the Queen of the North. We can relax somewhere quiet and just talk." He placed his hand on his chest as he felt a sharp pain go through his body, she didn't notice it and he didn't want to tell her yet,
"Oh.....well since you put it that way." Her expectations were cut short but it could still lead to anything, they could be talking and then kissing, and then...... She begins to smile like a pervert, "maybe midnight? It is a good time to relax since everyone would be resting by then." She picks odd times, Hoping that the wind would enter him and he would be forced to do things to her.
"Agreed."
