Fredrick!!, I heard someone called my name so I quickly disengaged from the kiss to know who it was, the only forme to see Chloe in tears but she was quick enough to wipe it off before Cecilia could turn to stare at us.
Chloe, you’re here? I asked and walked out of the elevator and Cecilia did the same holding my hands.

Damn!!, F**k!!, I cussed stomping my feet on the floor while Cecilia stares at me weirdly wondering who the lady was.

The drive was silent and I could see from Cecilia’s expression she wants an answer to her question.
I remembered how wet chole’s eyes were immediately she sighted us kissing, I thought the feelings she had for me back then in high school must have varnish by now but no, she still had that looked on her eyes whenever she looks at me.
We arrived home and Cecilia went to her room while I went to mine, I had my shower and sat on my bed reminiscing all the events that happened a few hours ago.
My phone ring and I saw the caller ID to be Mom so I just picked the call to know what she has to say now.
~ Fredrick why did you showcase that poor beggar to the public as your wife she yelled over the phone and I pushed my head backward in frustration.
~ Don’t you know, this act of yours could destroy, the reputation of the Jago, she added and I sighed deeply.
~ she is my wife and I love her, if you aren’t ready to accept her then don’t call this line again I said to her and hung up throwing my phone on the bed.
What the f**k is their problem huh??, First they made me get a wife which I wasn’t ready for, then they ceased my contract and ask me to divorce a day old married how pathetic could that be I thought sitting in the bed.
When I heard a knock on the door, I sighed before getting up from the bed to open the door only for me to find Cecilia coming inside my room with a tray of food making my mouth watering.
She served me as was about leaving the room when I grabbed her hand making her halt, what is it me, Fredrick? She asked me but instead of a reply, I draw her close to me making her sit on my lap…
What are you doing? She asked looking at me and I winked at her.
Cecilia pov’s
I went to my room after I returned from the office with Fredrick, I had my shower and changed into my pajamas before going to the kitchen to warm up our dinner.
When I was done I walked to Fredrick’s room when I overheard his phone ringing, I wanted to walk in immediately, but I stayed out to know who was calling. I couldn’t hear the voice of the person at first, but then I discovered it was his mom from his reply which left me dumbfounded, *she is my wife and I love her, if you aren’t ready to accept her then don’t call this line again*.
The statement kept repeating itself in my head, this may be one of his tricks and before you know what is happening he goes back to his cold, and arrogant self. So I didn’t let what he said get to me.
I served him his meal when he grabbed me and made me sit on his laps, I stare at him waiting for an explanation from him, but he wasn’t looking at my face, his eyes were fixed on my lips, and I watched as his lips twitch as he still continues to stare at mine.
I immediately grabbed a spoon of rice on the spoon and placed it on his mouth to stop him from kissing me.
He looked at me confused and I smiled at him before taking another quantity bringing it close to his mouth, and he opened up to collect his food. He fed me and I did the same too until we were both satisfied.
I packed the dishes and he followed me behind as I went to the sink and began to wash, all the dishes we used in eating.
Come on, don’t stress up, that the reason I pay the maids he said but I gave him a reassuring smile that I am okay doing this.
When I was done I came to see him in the city room watching a football show making me roll my eyes before sitting down on one of the sofas resting my head on it.
So I have something for you he said and went upstairs to his room, I looked at him wondering what he had in mind for me, but I had no idea so I waited for him to come downstairs patiently so I could see it.
I heard his footsteps as he climbed down the stairs with a key and envelope in his hands and I looked at it strangely wondering what I have to do with them.
So have this, it a car key he said stretching his hands to me and I looked at the key in his hands unable to believe it.
Are you being serious right now? I asked him with excitement all over my face, and he nodded his head making me scream out loud, but I quickly covered my mouth, and apologize to him.
Thank you so much, sir, I said to him and collected the key from him in joy.
Just call me Fredrick, he said and I blushed nodding my head.
“Have this also, it a credit card you can use for shopping and all your girly stuff,” he said and I chuckled bringing out the credit card out of the envelope.
“Why are you doing all this for me?, because I know it isn’t part of the contract,” I said to him, but instead of a reply he got up peg me on my forehead and muttered “Goodnight” to me……
