Cecilia pov’s
We had arrived at Fredrick’s parent’s house but we didn’t go in yet which I was grateful for because I feel so nervous. I kept holding my dress tightly, trying to calm my nerves down. I guess he noticed it because I felt his palms on mine and I lifted my head staring at our hands for a little while before I stare at him deeply. As I did that I had those feeling again, a feeling like I want him or something dragging me to him I thought before removing my eyes quickly.
We got down from the car, holding each other’s hands as we moved into the house elegantly.
Oh my gosh, they are here,” the maid who opened the door for us, screamed as she bows to greet us.
“Hey, it going to be fine,” he said and placed his hand on my waist making me blush as I hide my face.
We walked inside, and we sat on the same sofa with our skin brushing, I turned to stare at him and he gave me a reassuring smile that everything is going to be fine.
A few minutes later, I heard the clicking sounds of the heel coming from the stairs, instantly I knew it has to be Fredrick’s parents, and my nervousness increased.
What if they don’t like me? What if they aren’t nice people? What if I get insulted here? So many thoughts kept running through my mind but I decided to keep calm.
They were very close to the sitting room, so I quickly got up from my seat immediately they stood before us.
Good morning ma’am, Good morning sir, I greeted them and they passed me a lovely smile, while I signed in relieved.
I looked at the man standing before me and he looked so much like Fredrick, he was just like an older version of him but still so much young and handsome. And the woman beside him, whom I presume to be Fredrick’s mom was looking so young, her skin was flawless and she is so pretty.
“Mom, dad meet Cecilia Hale, my wife,” Fredrick introduce me to them, and the word wife made me blush.
“Oh my, finally son” his mother exclaimed as she hugged me while my smile increase, I guess she likes me already…
“You are welcome to the family Cecilia,” Fredrick’s father said smiling at me as he patted his son’s shoulders…
We were at the dining eating in silence and I felt so uncomfortable, family breakfast is always fun and full of engaging in much talking and chats, but this was so silent as a graveyard.
It was like they don’t get along really well.
I was about to say something when Fredrick’s mom beat me to it.
So, Cecilia what do you do? She asked as she took a bite from her meal.
“I work as a secretary in your son’s office,” I said smiling looking at Fredrick, who smiles at me.
Interesting, I guess that how you two got along and fell in love she added and I just have her a smile.
And your parents, how are they? Fredrick’s father asked me staring at Fredrick instead of me.
I know, they are fine where ever they are, I replied forcing a smile and they nodded understanding me.
So, what kind of business do your family engage in? She asked me and I stare at her in confusion. What business is she talking about?
“And why does it seem that you both are interrogating my wife,” Fredrick said with anger in his voice as he stares at his parents.
It okay, I will answer their questions I said to him holding his hands, and he calms down immediately.
“My parents weren’t into any business, they were both farmers,” I said smiling as I used the table rag to clean my mouth.
“Farmers!! What!!,” His parents yelled in unison and I looked at them surprised.
“Did you hear that Hunny, your good for nothing son married a poor beggar and brought her into our home,” Fredrick’s mother complained to her husband?
Excuse me, my husband hears Fredrick isn’t good for nothing, he his the best son ever and a wonderful husband. If you can’t find that good in him then don’t insult him again I said holding Fredrick’s house.
Fredrick and his parents stared at me in shock, I gave them all a quick glance before running to his car.
Fredrick pov’s
I can’t believe she stood up for me when I couldn’t do that for myself. My parents are not nice people, they only want what would benefit them, not what would bring happiness to people around them.
I stood up to leave when my father voice stopped me abruptly.
“Forget the contract Fredrick,” he said.
And why is that, I didn’t part do yours” I said still backing him.
I won’t accept that lady as my daughter-in-law, neither would she be your wife he stated and I turned around looking at him in anger.
A deal is a deal Mr. Jago and you of all people should know that, I have presented my wife to you so deal with it I said and walked away in anger.
Writer’s pov’s
Cecilia was in tears waiting for her husband to come to take her out of this environment.
Immediately she sighted him waking up to her, she wipes the tears off her face and pretended everything was alright, When it not alright.
Fredrick got into the car and one could feel the burning rage and anger in him, so Cecilia decided to remain quiet all through the ride.
They both arrived home and Fredrick left Cecilia in the car, who gently came down from the car to meet Fredrick throwing things in anger as they crash on the floor. She looked at him in fright as she fidgeted scared of what he had become.
When his eyes landed on her and he saw the fear in her eyes, the way she looked at him like he was a monster made him stop, and immediately he grabbed his car keys and rushed out of the house.
Cecilia breathed in relief but was a little worried as to where he was going this late, she called the maids and instructed them to clean up the place while she had her bath.
Fredrick was in the bar, getting himself drunk as the event that happened earlier on played in his head again making him furious.
Grayson quickly rushed into the bar immediately he received his friend’s call, he knew something was wrong and he had to be here for him…
He came into the bar and found Fredrick getting himself wasted, so he put a call across Fredrick’s driver to come to pick him…
What the matter, you look horrible he said to Fredrick who gave him a hard glance before sipping from his drinks.
My dad really played me on this contract if I get married, the meeting today was a disaster he explained to Grayson, who was sad about his friends’ condition.
It’s okay man, everything would be fine he was still saying when he received an important call from his client.
Fu*k, this secretary of mine is worthless, he cussed and gulped down Fredrick’s drink.
I need to go back to work, please take care of yourself this is important he said patting Fredrick back.
Your driver would soon be here he yelled before walking away.
Cecilia couldn’t help but be worried about her husband, who was yet to return from where ever he went to, she tried calling him but he wasn’t picking her calls Making her even more worried.
A few minutes later, she heard the sound of a car drive in and when she rushed outside to know who it was, she saw the driver dragged her husband inside the house.
Immediately Fredrick saw Cecilia he grabbed her hands and looked at her before puking all over her making her stomp her foot in frustration.
Drop him on his bed please she instructed the driver before going to her room to wash herself up.
When she was fine she walked to Fredrick’s room and was amazed at how beautiful it looked. She quickly removed his shoes and began to unbutton his shirt as she Drools over his abs.
When she was fine, she dragged him and placed his head on the pillow before carrying the duvet to cover his body.
She tried going out of his room, but his hands held until her hand tightly.
“Stay with me,” he said and Cecilia’s mouth hung up staring at Fredrick in surprise…
