We arrived at the hospital and immediately they noticed it was Fredrick Jago the CEO of FJ group of companies, they made way for him to pass and assigned a doctor to him immediately.
What is wrong with your sister sir?, they asked and he looked at them in anger, “she is my wife and I need you to treat her immediately, he yelled.
I couldn’t help but blush at how the word “wife” flung out of his wife.
They placed me on a stretcher and pushed me inside the ward.
“Hey” I would be fine I said to Fredrick smiling at him but he still kept looking worried.
Ma’am, what is the matter the doctor asked and I pointed my leg to him and they smile.
It just a deep cut, I would treat it and prescribed drugs to you the doctor said and I smiled at him.
“Your husband must really love you,” he said dressing the wound and I gave him a confused expression and he passes me a light smile.
What I meant is that your husband really loves you a lot, can’t you see how he got so scared because of a cut, he said.
“You must be lucky” he added and I smiled nodding my head at him.
“Only if he knows how lucky I am,” I thought to myself facing the ceiling.

I just can’t believe she tried to save me from getting hurt, even after the maltreatment she was under because of me.
Well yes, everything that happened in the office was all my plans to make her suffer but I was also suffering in pains as I watched her do what she’s was doing.
“How could she get injured because of me,” it still Marvel’s me anytime I try to understand but each time she does, it always something amazing that makes me so amazed.
Or maybe she is pretending because of the contract? I thought. If she is then why pretend in front of me? I thought when I heard the doctor’s voice interrupting my thought.
How is she doing doctor? I asked immediately and he smiled at me.
She is alright but she lost a little amount of blood, you should get her something to eat first he said and I thanked him before walking around away.
I went to the canteen to grab some snacks for her, after instructing the maid to prepare something healthy before we get back home.
I paid for the snacks when I heard a familiar voice talking to the girl who sold the snacks to me, I turned in the direction of the girl talking and I gasped when I saw the person.
“Chloe” I called in shock and she turned around to look at me in shock too.
Oh mine, I can’t believe it really you I said to her and she smiled at me. What are you doing here? She asked me.
Came to grab lunch I said and she nodded her head. Can I have your contact u asked passing my phone to her and she smiled giving me back the phone?
“See you soon I hope,” I said and rushed to the hospital.
I walked into her ward to find her awake staring at the ceiling. Hey, are you okay I asked calmly and she smiled at me?
Yeah, I’m fine just hungry, can we home now? She asked looking at me, as she waited for my response.
“Yes, but that after you have the snack o got for you,” I replied to her and she stared at me in confusion.
I open the nylon and brought out the hot dog in it, I moved to her and raised her up to be in a sitting position.
I brought the food close to her mouth, she stared at me and the food before opening up her mouth to collect the food.
We arrived home and I carried her in bridal style to my room before laying her on the bed.
She didn’t say anything but instead, she fell asleep, I guess she was tired. I sighed and used the duvet to cover her body.
I gave her a quick glance before walking to my closet, I began to strip myself naked and walked to the bathroom to have my shower.
I remember Chloe and she looked as beautiful as ever even after so many years now. I bathed for a while before walking out of the shower dripping wet with my towel tied on my waist.
I creamed my body before putting on my pajamas, I was about to go out of the room when my phone rang and I quickly rushed to pick it up, so that it wouldn’t disturb Cecilia’s rest.
~ Hello, I said over the phone, walking out of the room.
~ Hi, Fredrick how have you been, a female voice said and I brought the phone out of my ears, looking at the screen as I wondered how she got my number.
~ who are you? How did you get my number? What do you want from me? I asked a series of questions over the phone getting pissed.
~ Hey, relax Mr. Fredrick it, Chloe. Speaking to you, she replied to me giggling while I smile over the phone.
~ chole I called again to be sure, how did you I was saying when she interrupted me.
~ I used your phone to call mine, so I was able to save yours, she replied smartly and I smiled.
~You always get what you want right I said and we both busted into laughter.
~ Anyways, am sorry for how I reacted earlier on, I thought it was one of those ladies who don’t listen, I said with a hint of anger in my voice.
~ still got the thing for girls, she said and I smiled.
Fredrick, I heard Cecil call, and I turn around to see her struggling to get up from the bed.
~ who was that? Chloe asked but I hunged up and rushed to her meet Cecilia.
“Are you okay, what do you need?” I asked her and she hugged me tightly.
“I thought you left me all alone,” she said as tears threaten to fall from her eyes but I was quick to wipe it off.
“Am hungry” she said and her stomach growled loudly making her hide her face on my chest while I busted out into laughter.
“Let’s get you something to eat,” I said to her and she nodded her head making me smile.
