“Betty,” I called lowly, shocked as I stumbled…
“No!, No!, No!, This has to be a dream, it can’t happen, no how possible is this?, I thought still staring at her as she hugged Fredrick’s mom.
I can’t let her see me, who is she to them? Why is she here? I thought and quickly ran upstairs to our room pacing around the room.
Is she part of this family, is she related to them, or maybe she is Chris’s girlfriend. I thought still pacing around the room. When the door open and Fredrick walked in with a smiley face.
“Hey,” he called and walked in front of me, while I gave him a small smile.
“How are you?” He asked and sat on the couch staring at me while I faced the window, without giving him any reply.
Cecilia, are you okay?” He asked again still staring at me but my thoughts were still wondering thinking about Betty and her presence here.
So who was the lady at the door? I asked and he looked at me for a while in deep thought.
Oh, you mean Betty?, he asked and I nodded my head furrowing my brows at him while he smiled at me.
“She is my cousin, Chris’s sister” he stated and I stared at him in shock.
What!, I said and he looked at me wondering what made me screamed but I was quick to apologize.
Why didn’t I think of it before, why couldn’t I get that she was related to the Jago?
“Damnit,” I said and stomped my feet on the ground in anger as I thought of what next to do.
I can’t let her know am here, I can’t let her see me. Do they know she is a lesbian? Do they know her relationship status? All these thoughts kept running into my mind.
I wanted to ask Fredrick but I didn’t know how to approach him, I don’t want him to be suspicious of me or even think otherwise.
“I need to find out myself,” I concluded in my thought walking out of the room without saying anything more to Fredrick.
I walked downstairs when I came across Fredrick’s mom, who looked at me in disgust but that was the least of my problem right now. What I need to understand is if her family is aware of her being a lesbian.
I kept walking when I bumped into someone, “sorry,” I muttered turning around to know who it was when my eyes landed on the exact person am looking for ‘Betty’.
“Mine, mine, mine, who do we have here?” she said with a smirk on her face while I looked at her in disgust.
Can you leave the road, I would like to pass through it, I said calmly trying to sound polite but she busted out into laughter clasping her hands together. Cecil my love, what are you doing here she asked smirking but I folded my hands and stared at her.
You know, I really do miss you she added and I huffed angrily getting impatient of hearing her voice. Can you let me pass I said almost screaming at her face which took her by surprise as she slowly left my way?
Would see ya later she said and I hissed loudly. “Why didn’t I see this but bitchy part of her”. I thought she was this sweet, nice, and enjoyable person but now I got to see another person entirely.
She disgusts me, her presence, her voice, everything about her disgust me, and I can’t explain why but I felt so disgusted when she stood in front of me.
I got outside and sat on the bench close to a tree as so many thoughts run through my mind. I can’t still believe that she is here, the world is truly small.
How would I have known that my ex-lesbian girlfriend was a Jago and that the reason why she is so rich? I thought and pulled my hair backward in frustration. I mean all this is still very surprising to me and I can’t seem to phantom what to do.
I was still in deep thought when I felt a presence beside me, I turn to see Chris sitting close to me and staring at the sky without saying a word to me.
Good morning Chris I said politely forcing a smile on my face while he turns to stare at me.
“Morning sister-in-law,” he replied with a deep voice and we both busted out into hysterical laughter.
So what brings you here milady? He asked winking at me and I shook my head laughing.
I needed to receive some fresh air and maybe also clear my head, I replied him breathing heavily while he nodded his head in understanding staring at the ground.
“Well, I needed that too because now Betty is back to the family I hope we are bound like brothers and sisters,” he said and released a heavy breath.
Why did you say that? Who wouldn’t bond well with you? I asked and nudge his shoulders light.
“Well, I guess my lesbian sister is the only one who wouldn’t bound with her brother,” what! I said pretending to be shocked but he smiled at me.
Do they know? I asked in a low tone while he chuckled softly.
You don’t need to be surprised or shocked, everyone here knows and we have come to accept it, since it what that makes her happy he replied.
Wow, I replied him with a sly smile. So it means everybody is aware of her being a lesbian, interesting I thought.
So why are you here? He asked and I smiled.
A lot of things are making me think, for instance, Fredrick I said blushing and he smiled pointing at my cheeks while I hid my face in my palms.
“And for the fact that I used to be a Lesbian,” I said breathing hard while he screamed out loudly looking at me in wide eyes, while I bowed my head in shame…
