Ermm, Cecil this is Chloe my childhood friend, my best friend who has always been there for me,” he said looking at Chloe with love in his eyes and I stare at him in shock holding the tears in my eyes which were threatening to fall.
“I didn’t say anything more to them, but I walked back to my room in sadness. Haven’t I try to stand by him, haven’t I try to be here for him. He keeps pushing me away but I continued to come back because,” I thought to myself and busted into tears.
But a childhood friend of his is here and he forgets everything I did to make him a better person, to bring him out of his shell of arrogance.
Did he forget how I didn’t give up on him?, did he forget how I tried effortlessly to make him see the good in oneself. How I tried to remove the hate in his heart?.
I went to the window side to see them hugging and holding hands together, she clung her body to his like she was his girlfriend.
It happening over again, just like before, and always, they forget me, I become the used toy. The unimportant person the one, who becomes discarded…
I stare at them for a long while before cleaning the tears in my eyes as I walked away to the bathrooms.
We were at the dining having our lunch when grandpa was brought from his room to the table using his wheelchair.
“Good afternoon grandpa,” I greeted and he smiled at me genuinely while chole grimace.
“Grandpa”, she quickly got up from her seat to hug grandpa who didn’t respond to her nicely at all making me chuckled.
“Chole I see you are here, how is that?” He asked wearily taking a bite from his food.
Well, my mother-in-law invited me here she said smiling at Fredrick’s mom who smiled at her in delight…
Your mother-in-law? He asked with a cracked voice and I continued to eat pretending that am not listening to their conversation, while I concentrated on my food.
Yes, she wants me here so that no gold-digger would snatch him away from me she said rubbing Fredrick’s back as she stares at me in disgust.
“Why don’t you reject Fredrick now and come back to me Cecil, I mean take a look at him he is so much in love with her,” Betty whispered in my ear and I resist listening to her.
“Do you by any chance mean Fredrick, my grandson,” grandpa asked and she nodded her head smiling?
“Fredrick I thought you were married to Cecilia here,” he said pointing at me, and immediately Fredrick chokes on his food, as he stares at me and chole with his mouth widely opened.
Are you married, Fredrick? Chole asked him rubbing his chest softly and at that moment he looked lost as he stares at chole.
Are you? She asked again and he shook his head negatively, while I ran away from the dining in tears.
I can’t take this anymore, I just can’t continue to do this, I thought and busted into tears when the door opened and Chris came in.
“I can’t bear it any longer,” I said crying on his shoulders as he hugged me tightly.
He his just confused, don’t take it to heart, chole has been his childhood crush and best friend for a long time he says, and I sniffed in.
“Cecil,” I heard a knock on the door and I quickly compose myself and asked Chris to open up the door for me.
The door opened and Fredrick walked in while Chris left shutting the door behind him.
I compose myself, I don’t want him knowing I cried.
Fredrick’s pov’s
I don’t know what came over me in the dining but what I know is that am confused about the whole issue. On one hand, is Cecilia who cares for me even when I push her away, and on the other hand, is chole my crush from childhood.
“Are you okay,” I asked her and she nodded her head forcing a smile on her face.
The look on her face when I bluntly rejected her in front of everyone in the family made my heartbreak.
I felt guilty, stupid and sad, I didn’t what to do that to get but it just happened and I couldn’t help it.
“Am sorry Cecil for what happened in the dining, I didn’t mean that it was just a slip of tongue,” I said and sat close to her ok the bed.
“Fredrick did you call that a slip of tongue,’ she asked looking at me In disappointment.
I thought things were beginning to go the right way for us but all of a sudden within a few hours a lot had changed, she said and broke down in tears…
What do you have me do for you to understand how much I care about you, how much I love you from the bottom of my heart she started staring at me with rest eyes but I remained silent.
What do you have Me do? What? She yelled at my face.
Don’t blame me okay, you aren’t the only one feeling all sad, am f**king confused okay. Don’t blame me if I don’t know who to pick, I want to see you the happy same way I want to chole to be happy.
I do like her so much, I thought the feelings I harbor for her a long time ago had gone but seeing her here and how ravishing she looked and, it brought up to feelings back.
Am sorry but I can’t help it, I think she’s the one I really do want her Cecilia I can’t help it I said and breathe out loudly.
You played with me, you are just like the others, just like them all, she said hitting my chest and I looked at her confusedly wondering what she had to say.
You just say all this trash to me because I was the one pushing myself on you, I wanted to change you, I was here when you were being all rude and arrogant and she wasn’t she busted out making my heartbreak into pieces.

“Just forget it, I guess we should stick to the contract,” she said and walked out of the room.
F**k I cussed and kicked the bed angrily. What the hell is all this, why do her words affect me this much?

Writer’s pov’s
Cecilia walked through the garden in the Mansion, as she tried to clear her head. The heated argument that happened between her and Fredrick still played in her head.
“Am just confused,” she still hard he say as she breathes out loudly.
So, do you consider my offer now? Betty said to her making her startled ad she was unaware of her presence.
“I don’t Betty, and stop trying because I would never think of coming back to your life,” Cecilia replied her.
I would let the family know about your Lesbian secrets Cecilia she threatens and Cecilia smirk.
“And they would know you were once my lesbian girlfriend,” she said and Betty stared at her in shock as she walked away.
Meanwhile, chole who had noticed their conversation hid behind a wall and listen to Everything they had discussed and she gasped in shock.
“Cecilia is a lesbian,” she muttered as she walked back to her room silently…
