CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE
SARAH'S POV
We arrived at the mansion as aunt rushed and engulfed me in a hug while Mr Pam was smiling.
"What exactly happened, dear?" She asked, after pulling away.
"It's not serious, aunt. She just missed home." Jayden lied.
"Is that true, Sarah?"
"Uhm... yes. I'm sorry that I left that way."
"It's alright dear. Let me get you something to eat." She said and headed to the kitchen while Mr Pam walked up to me.
"I'm glad you're back. Don't do that again, my dear. You had Kathy and I worried sick. It was really hard confronting her." He chuckled.
"I'm sorry sir."
"It's alright, my dear." He smiled, caressing my head.
"Where is Max?" I inquired, looking around to see where he was.
"He's in his bedroom. He has refused to eat or talk to anyone since he didn't see you."
"Oh, no! What have I done?"
"You can go see him. I'll join you both shortly." Jayden stated while I headed for the stairs.
I got carried away with all my thoughts forgetting what the little kid would go through without me around. I shouldn't have even left the house to save my father who I can't believe he would do such a thing behind my back.
I wasn't willing to listen to my father's pleas to accept him back if it wasn't for Jayden, who told me to let things go.
I got to his door and tried opening it to see it was locked from the inside. He's really serious with his actions. I can't let him continue with this kind of stuff.
"Max, it's me. Please, open up." I uttered, softly.
"Mommy!" He called out and opened the door, before embracing me.
"I'm sorry I left you all alone. I promise I won't do that ever again." I assured him, caressing his head.
"Pinky promise, mommy?"
"Pinky promise, honey. I heard you have refused to eat or talk to anyone? Why is that honey?"
"You just left without a reason and you didn't say a word to me that's why I was hurt."
"I'm sorry darling. Something urgent came up but everything is back to normal. So, what would you like to eat?" I apologized, as we both walked inside his room.
"A dish made by you." He grinned.
"I'll make you the best dish you're probably going to fall in love with once you taste it."
"Yey!" He jumped and just then Jayden showed up.
"Is there something I miss?" He asked with furrowed brows.
"Yes daddy. It's a little secret between mommy and I. I'll go and prepare for everything mommy." said and rushed out of the room.
"I feel joyous seeing you both this close. I wish I'm that close to you, things would have been more spicy."
"Don't take it seriously. He's still a kid so he deserves a lot of love."
"What about me? I deserve that more than him since you're my woman." He frowned.
"Come on dear. There's a difference." I chuckled.
"Is that what you really think? How about I show you how I want things to be between us?"
"What are you talking about?"
"It's something I should have done before but since you want answers, I'll show it to you." He grinned and grabbed my ass with his hands suddenly.
"What are you trying to do, Jay?"
"It's called romance making. Since you and Max spend time playing like kids, what's wrong if I want to play this way with you?"
"That's not what I actually meant. I just feel it's inappropriate if Max finds us this way."
"That's what I want. I want him to know that you belong to me as well." He pulled me up and wrapped my legs around his waist before moving over to the bed.
"Don't you think you're taking things too far this way? We can't possibly be doing this right here?"
"Absolutely not, my love." He uttered and lay me down on the bed moving his hands around my legs.
"This isn't just right."
"What isn't right, my love."
"Being in this act in your son's bedroom."
"It's because of you, my love. I just can't resist you no matter how I try. You've completely bewitched me inside out so you can't blame me for it."
"How is it..." I was trying to say when he cut me off with a passionate kiss.
RYAN'S POV
I'll sure deal with that little brat who calls himself my son for ruining my entire plan. He had the guts to even say it to my face that he will be kind enough to spare me once he becomes the mafia don.
The ravishing desire in his tone scares me unlike any other. I never thought he would go against his own father for power.

"How are we doing, Joe?"
"He is there, master but please do have a rethink about what we're trying to do."
"There's nothing to think about. I need to be taught a lesson and this is the only way to make him realize his mistake."
"When should the boys strike?"
"Tonight. They mustn't lose the target no matter what."
"Okay master. How about the prisoners?"
"I don't even know what to do with them since they're useless to me. If only my foolish son hadn't killed Aaron, who was my only source for putting Jay in his place, I wouldn't be here worrying about anything."
"Should I kill them?"
"No, take the kids to an orphanage home since there's still kids."
"What about their mother?"
"She's going to be useful to warm me in bed. She isn't bad after all. Make arrangements for tonight. I want to have some fun."
"Okay master." He bowed and walked out of the room.

I was anxiously waiting for the good news about the attack when an unknown caller called me. I wasn't expecting to hear from anyone until I picked up the call.
"Oh father, do you really think you could lay a hand on me without me knowing?" Steven uttered.
How did he possibly find out I sent those boys to kill him? Is there something I'm probably missing from my calculations on the attack.
"There's no way you will get to me no matter how you try. I've got eyes everywhere and have the power to overthrow you if I want."
"Don't think you can get away with what you do to me easily, Steven."
"I thought it would be easy for you to let go of that but it seems you leave me with no choice."
"I dare you if you have the guts, you little piece of shit."
"Watch what you wish for because you just might get it."
"You don't stand a chance with me, kid. Let's see the worst you can."
"Very well then. Let me blow your mind a bit. Take a look at the door in front of you. I'm sure something special is waiting for you." He stated as I took a look at the door, only to see Joe pointing a gun in my direction.
