CHAPTER FIFTY EIGHT
ONE WEEK LATER
JAYDEN'S POV
I've been making preparations to go on a two weeks vacation trip with Sarah and Max as a family but I haven't shared the news with them.
I'm sure they will be so excited since I'll be informing them about it today once I get back to the mansion.
I just need to round up with this contract I'm working on before I leave every other work to Henry to handle.
I was a few minutes away from rounding up the work when a call came in from the investigator I assigned on Amanda's case.
I've been so unfaithful by moving on with my life, forgetting to find the murder behind her death. I used to be so desperate to find out who the murder behind her death was, but now, I seem to have forgotten all about it.
I still want to find the murder by all means but it's been five years now and still no sign of who the actual culprit is. I hope she can forgive me for being unable to find her murder all these years.
I hope the investigator has a lead on who the culprit might be so I can finally get the justice Amanda deserved.
"Hello, king. I'm sorry I couldn't reach you all these while. I was making sure the information was valid." He apologized, when I picked up the call.
"It's fine. What have you got?"
"I found someone who was an eye witness when the accident took place but he is deaf."
"Was he able to give you a hint of the people involved?"
"Yes king. From his explanation he said he saw three men that day who looked like elites and would be able to identify any of them if he meets any of them again."
"That's good. Do what you have to and find me those bloody men."
"Okay boss. My boys are scanning the faces of men in the states. Hopefully, we'll find them in no time."
"Alright. Keep me updated about it." I stated before disconnecting the call.
I'm close to finally finding the people behind Amanda's death. I'm going to make them go through hell before sending them to where they rightfully belong with the devil.
After some couple of minutes, I was all done and ready to leave when I heard an unexpected knock which made me wonder who it was since Henry is on leave today.
"Yes, come in." I uttered, as it turned out to be Fiona, whom I had totally forgotten to fix a perfect time for us to discuss the contract offer she proposed to me.
"It's a great day for me to have seen you here today." She announced, walking over to my desk.
"Fiona, I know I do owe you an apology but I'll find a perfect time for us to discuss the business plan."
"Oh, it's nothing. That's not what actually brought me here."
"Is that so?" I knitted my brows, curious to hear her out.
"Mr Russell, you see I'm really interested in you. Ever since I met you in person for the first time, I couldn't hold back how I felt for you. You're the perfect man any woman would love to have." She said, trying to come towards me when I stopped her with a hand.
"I don't know how you'll take this in but I've a fiancee and we're getting married soon."
"What??? How is that possible when I learnt you're still single."
"I'm not single. I didn't want to make it official but since your words were out of line, I had no choice but to let you know about it."
"This is unbelievable! I feel cheated right now." She scoffed.
"It would be great if we can remain the way we started for the good will of one another. I hope you understand my point, Miss Fiona."
"I still need to take this information in before anything."
"It's alright. You can take as much time as you want. I've to leave the office now."
"Are you going to meet her?"
"Yes." I replied, calmly which made her grumble some words to herself.
"Is she more beautiful than I?"
"I don't want to hurt your feelings, Miss Fiona. It would be best if we pretend you never asked."
There's absolutely no way I would compare my Sarah to her. Sarah is a million times more beautiful than her or any other lady out there. She has everything most women lack and I'm indeed proud to have her around me.

I walked inside the mansion and found Max in the living room playing with his classmate Matty, which I learnt both like each other.
"Hello daddy!" He called out and rushed up to me.
"How are you, champ?"
"I'm fine daddy."
"Good evening Max's daddy." Matty uttered which made Max chuckled.
"How are you Matty?" I smiled, looking at the adorable little girl.
I never knew my son was really into this girl until he asked if Matty could come over to play with him, which I agreed to after having a discussion with the girl's parents.
Sarah was able to get close to Matty's mother who is a friend with her now. I just want her to brush up around fellow women and to be her natural self.
"I'm fine."
"Champ, where is your mommy?"
"She's in the bedroom resting."
"Alright. You both can continue playing."'I brushed through his hair before heading to the stairs.
I walked into my bedroom and found her sleeping soundly on the bed looking so adorable and beautiful.
She has been on my mind all the time I was on the way just to be close to her and also share the good news with her about the trip.
I took off my suit and joined her on the bed trying as much as possible not to wake her up but I actually did.
She slowly opened her eyes and was surprised to see me on the bed with her while I pulled her closer to myself.
"When did you get back?" She inquired, resting her head on my chest.
"Just now. I'm sorry I woke you up." I apologized.
"It's fine. I got bored waiting for you, that's why I decided to take a nap."
"I'm sorry, my love. I had to take care of some extra documents which took more time than expected."
"I'm glad you're back. I prepared something tasty for you but you have to take a shower first."
"I can't wait to try, my love. I also have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"We're all going on vacation to Paris as a family."
"Are you serious?" She asked, moving away from me and giving me a shocking look.
"Yes, my love. I've made all the plans and we will be leaving tomorrow."
"I'm so happy right now. I've been dying to visit Paris again since I didn't get enough time to go shopping or even sightseeing and other stuff."
"We're leaving by tomorrow and I promise you will have the best experience, my love."
"Thank you so much, honey. Words can't express how much I love you." She smiled and embraced me.
"I'm willing to do anything to make you happy." I assured her, caressing her bare back.
The effect she has over me is beyond what I could ever imagine. Everything about her is just unique and perfect.
I'll make this trip the most unforgettable moment for her. She deserves everything and I'll make sure she gets whatever she wants.
