Ciara's pov
I woke up early and quickly ate my breakfast after I prepared myself for leaving, since it's now today where I will meet Hannah in San Roque as we discussed last night.
But, I still can't help but think about what I saw last night in my parents' room, their real names on the legal papers.
I'm still confused as to where I heard those names, and why are they using different surnames. I feel like I know and I've heard those names, they're very familiar to me. But my mind can't remember where I heard it from.
"Aish, it's really annoying to think. My head is aching again," I blurted out.
"Ma'am Ciara, where are you really going, and you're dressed up?" The maid asked me when she saw me.
"I just need to take care of something," I replied while drinking my milk.
"What would I say to sir if he asked me again where you are?"
"Just tell him I'll be right back in the afternoon," I replied. She nodded, so I didn't speak anymore.
"Anyway, can you please get the lighter, the long one that looks like a gun? It's just placed in the kitchen. I just have to burn something." I ordered her and took out the papers I tore into pieces last night.
I'm still wondering why she sent it to me? I mean, know I'm their target and intend t finish off, but I can't see the reason why me? I'm confused because Hannah's older brother is an accomplice, and they use Hannah as their bait against me? So it's impossible that their reason was retaliating against me just because I'm the reason behind Hannah and Tyron's relationship going off.
In what way do they want to knock me out? Is this how much sin I have done to them, so this is how they planned to do?
Tss, I really can't figure out the reason, why my life is their target. I also couldn't understand why my life was in danger nos and I might die at any moment, but I don't feel any fear. I'm not scared.
Maybe nervous, yes. I was nervous that someone might get hurt, but the fear? I can't feel it. Maybe it's because I'm used to it. After all, once in my life, Tyron threatened me with death. It was total hell. And I don't think I'll be intimidated by just their cheap warnings.
They're nothing compared to Tyron. Lol.
Why did I even find it funny?
"Here it is, Ma'am." The maid handed me the gun lighter. I took it from her and burned the papers. After I burned it down, I picked my phone up when it suddenly rang.
"Hello?" I greeted.
"Ciara, it's Raiza. I'll be there in San Roque later, I'm just following someone now," she whispered as if she was hiding something.
Who she was following now?
"All right, I'll just inform you," I answered and dropped the call, but then another call followed.
'Who is this?'
"Hello?"
"Ciara, where are you? It's Hannah. Are you on your way now? I'm sure they're now waiting for me there. I'll just wait for you there, okay?"
I gasped, why did I feel like I was just hit by nervousness just now? Is my life going to be in danger?
"Yeah, I'm on my way, ill drop the call now," I said as I put the lighter inside my bag. I went straight out of the gate and called a taxi that passed by.
"Where to go, ma'am?" I raised my head when the driver asked me.
'Wait, that voice is familiar to me.
"Ah, Manong. To San Roque," I replied.
"Copy that, Ma'am!" He answer, I smiled when I finally recognized its voice. He's the one who took me to the hospital back then. I remember him.
"Ma'am Ciara, it's you! How are you?" He asked excitedly while driving.
Here, life is in danger now, not knowing how long I will last.
"I'm fine now, sir." I also asked him.
"That's good to hear, ma'am. Anyway, what are you going to do there? It's a bit far from here," he said.
"I just have something important to do," I replied. The truth is I don't know what awaits me there. But I have to go, I have to know their plan and who they are, so at least I'm aware of who's going to kill me.
I also called the police last night and told them what might happen, at first they didn't believe me because many people like me called them and said their lives were in danger, but when they move to rescue the victim, there was really nothing happening.
Do I look like someone who will take a joke to my life? It is literally close to death now.
I still called them again before I left, I said I would call again after 1 hour to inform them if they were still going or not, but when I didn't call after an hour, I told them to go to the address that I sent them. Which is here in San Roque, because for sure, when I didn't make a call, I'm probably in danger that time, but also in case they don't see me here later, I said just trace my location to find me."
A few hours after Manong drove to San Roque, we finally arrived.
I took some money from inside my bag, I was a little surprised when I saw the lighter inside my bag.
Why did I even bring it? I didn't notice that I had put it on.
"Thank you, Maning!" I said goodbye and walked inside the building while looking around.
I stopped walking, when I heard someone talking, not far away from where I was, their voices were echoing, so I could clearly hear them.
"Where's your sister?! We've been waiting here almost an hour!" I heard the woman's irritating voice yelled the man next to her, they were both wearing pure black while holding masks.
I was just listening to their conversation, but I was surprised when I noticed the woman suddenly smirking.
"Looks like she's the one who's approaching us on purpose." The woman said with a creepy smile on her lips which made me wonder.
Who is she referring to?"
I was about to peek when I saw that it was already looking in my direction, which caused me to hide myself immediately.
Shit, how did she know I was hiding in here?!
I gulped out of nervousness when I heard its faint laugh.
How did she feel that I was here? Shit, I need to get out of here right away, I just fucking put myself in danger!
How did she even see me when my whole body was literally already hidden from the wall?
I slowly stepped backed away and was ready to run away, but then, shock painted my face when she was now standing right in front of me!
How come she came here that fast?!
"Where do you think you're going?" Her playful smile gave me a spine-chilling.
"D-don't get close to me!" I reluctantly restrained her and continued to step backward.
"Don't be afraid of me. Don't worry, I won't hurt you," Its calm utterance made me feel more nervous.
"Unless you come with me," she added, as her foolish laugh that was very deafening rang in my system.
"Just stay there, there's no way I'm going with you. Stay away from me!" I didn't shout because it would be harder for me to run away from here if even that man also find out I was there. I heard the laughter of this woman every time I backed away.
"Why are you running away? You came here on your own, didn't you? I'm just welcoming you, don't you want it?" A silly smile faded from her face. Even before I could answer, I was surprised when the one came out behind me.
"Oh, nice! The luck was really on me today, didn't expect you're the one who will come to us on your own. I'm glad to know that," the man said as he evilly laugh.
Fuck, there's really no way I could run away from them. They're both surrounding me now. I didn't try to move from where I stood because I know they will only get closer when to me once I tried to step back again.
"D-don't come near me." I pleaded and gulped when both of them smirk as if they were saying that I can't escape from them anymore.
"Don't leave. After all, you're here too. Just come with us, it's a waste of your effort to come here, if you're just leaving again, right?" The man laughed and pulled me by the arm when he got close to me.
"L-let me go! Let me go!" I shouted and tried to loosen its grip on me, as they dragged me towards their car.
"Tss, tss, tss! You're really my sister's friend. You're knew now how to fight, but you're both stupid hahaha!" Did he just insult his sister? Did he forget that they were bloodline?
'Hannah, where are you? You said you were here, help me here, please. I have no plan of dying today by these stinks people!
I remembered again what Jennifer had told me before. She pointed it out to me so that I could fight Tyron then, but I never did. So I'll just do it to this man.
I have nothing else to do to escape. I have no choice, I have to escape from here. I don't know how to do self-defense either.
I wasted no more time and I bit his hand with strong force as I kicked his private part, which made him release me and have a chance to run away.
"ARGH! FUCK!! GET HER!!"
I just kept running, but it looks like unlucky was with me today, because she was running fast behind me, chasing me!
I was no longer surprised when she caught me up.
"Come here!" She said and pulled my hair.
"A-ah!" I growls and grabbed my stomach when she kicked it.
"I told you to stay still, you're hardheaded. If only you obey what I told you, you won't get hurt," she yelled and drags me back again.
It hurts. I felt my whole body weaken because it was so strong.
"Let me go!" I screamed as they both tightened their grip on my arm.
"Let me go, please!" I beg while sobbing.
"Pity yourself too, stupid. Just stop being stubborn and obey us if you don't want to get hurt again!" The man shouted at me.
"When she told you to let go, just let go. Stop blabbering shit, snd let go of her," I heard someone say from behind.
Omayghad! Whoever you are, I owe you my life now.
"Tss! Don't meddle here dumbass if you don't want to get hurt too," said the woman and they dragged me again.
Help me, please! Help me! Have mercy! Don't leave me alone here.
"Let go." He calmly warned I don't even see him but my heart is glad because it looks like he really intends to help me and will not leave me alone here until he takes me with him.
I'm crying, just now I seem to be lucky in my whole life.
"I told you, stop meddling!"
"I'm counting," he said coldly. I don't know, but its voice was so familiar, it was as if I was momentarily stunned when I realized who it was.
It's not him, is it? T-tell me, I'm wrong. It's not him. There's no way he's here.
"Ah!" I moaned when the woman pushed me to the ground.
"You really want to get hurt, don't you?" The man shouted and rushed at it.
"Tss, as if you can do it?" He scoffed.
"I told you to stop interfering— ah!" the man stumbled to the ground as he punched him and kick right on his face and stomach.
'I can't clearly see them anymore since my body was and pain and I couldn't move properly.
"I told you to stop, but you still fucking lay your filthy hands on her," he said, the rage was so obvious in his eyes as he once again kicked the man who was already writhing in pain while lying on the ground.
But my eyes immediately widened when my attention turned to the woman who is now slowly walking behind him while gripping a knife in her hand.
*W-wait! Don't!!" I yelled as louder as I can, but it was too late.
"Ah!" He growled, my tears just dripped when he was stabbed in bis side. My shoulders dropped when I confirmed who it really was.
"Why do fucking people's brains so narrow?! It's fucking annoying!" She blurted out and pulled him towards the back of the van.
"Get that woman in here!" The woman commanded the man as she pointed at me.
The man stood up and immediately pulled me. I couldn't even resist, because I was only getting weaker from what I had witnessed.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw him weaken, as he was stabbed by his waist.
"W-why did you go here," I said, can't keep myself being annoyed, but he didn't answer me. Instead, he just looked at those two who were outside and seems busily talking to someone on their phones.
"Ciara, listen to me." I held his hand.
"R-run away. Hurry up while they're not looking," I immediately shook my head, I could see the pain in his eyes even though my eyes were already dimming because of the tears.
"No, I can't," I replied.
"Please, just go."
"But how about you? I can't just leave you here!"
"I'm fine, j-just go. Please.. save yourself even just for now. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Please go now!" I bit my lower lip.
"Go!" He pleaded my tears ran down my cheeks.
"I'll be back to you," I said and hurried out to escape.
"Be careful," he said before fainting when I finally got out of the van on the other side where the two of us wouldn't see me.
Tyron...
I broke down when the car finally went off.
Why did he do that?! He's really stupid! Stupid!!
"Ciara? Oh, God! What are you doing here?!" I looked up.
"Omyghad! W-what happened to you?! Why do you look like- shit! Did they do this to you?! Did they catch you?!" She was panicking and blabbering something that I couldn't quite understand. I couldn't think much of anything but Tyron being left in the van alone, my heart is full of anger because of what he did, yet it was aching.
"Tyron..."
"Tyron? What happened to him? Is he here too? What is he doing here? Where is he?!" Hannah asked confused.
"I don't know." I feel so tired and weak.
"They took us, b-but he told me to run away. H-Hannah, he was stabbed. He was left alone inside the van," I sobbed and didn't know what to do anymore.
"Oh God, this is really trouble! Come one, we have to follow them! Tyron's life is in danger!"
"D-do you know where they are?"
"Yes, I heard it from my brother last night, he mentioned where their territory is, and I'm sure they were there. They'll take Tyron there."
"Come on, we need to catch them up! There might be something bad that happened to Tyron once they found out you escaped!" She grumbles and helps me stand up as she guides me to hop in her car.
