TW: gunshot, death warning
Ciara's pov
While calmly seated, enjoying watching everyone having their time dancing with their partners, I couldn't help but burst out a sigh as I remember how Tyron guided me when we were on the stage, dancing.
It's not that he's handsome which made me think about it, but what bothers me was every word he told me.
He wanted me to come back to him even just for tonight?
How about he thinks of the wasted years I was with him, but he didn't do anything apart from abandoning me and making me feel worthless?
I just can't let myself tie myself unto him again, the reason why I am doing all of this was all because I want to get rid of him in my life, I want to forget about him to get the revenge I deserve. Not like this, he, showing me how he is regretting all of it now that it's all too late and everything has happened.
If only he did this the times that I'm still into him, and willing to look like a fool just to be with him, then I'll be probably gullible and forgive him constantly. But it's all impossible to happen now, I already came to my senses, but I know there's still a part of me that I'm still fragile.
It's only now that I realize how it's so foolish to be a fragile person. I'm the one who should be doing this to him, but I'm the one who's getting affected here.
I let out a heavy sigh, letting the airbrush everything away.
"It's so stupid that I'm so fragile when it comes to you," with an irritated voice, whispering to myself. I'm so disappointed in myself because I couldn't help but feel a little joy in a tiny part of my heart as I saw how his eyes were full of genuineness and purity while talking to me. But I can't forget that my job here is only to retaliate against him, nothing else.
I turned my gaze to Hannah who was still eating now.
Walt, I haven't even asked her what is the main reason why she will suddenly leave. Everything was so sudden, they just talked yesterday and ended everything about them, and she will be leaving right away?
Well, maybe it's also time to tell her the truth that I don't really have amnesia, since she's leaving.
Right.
I took a deep breath before calling her which made her glance at me immediately.
"Yes, why?"
"Are you really sure about your flight? Have you ever thought about it?"
"About that, yeah. I'm sure since I've been really planning to leave for a long time. It just took me a while looking for timing when will I say it," I knew she wanted to say it to Tyron. I nodded, I didn't have to ask why because I seemed to know the answer already.
She'll be planning to entrust him.
"I have something to tell you."
"Hmm?"
"I got involved in an incident, right?"
"All they know is I have amnesia." Hannah's eyebrows arched.
"But the truth is—"
'bang!'
I flinched and immediately rose from my seat when a loud gunshot rang through my ears.
Where the hell did it come from?!
Because of the unexpected gunshot from nowhere, everyone went panicked, running, screaming, and hiding under their tables.
What's happening? Who did a gunshot?!
Everyone gets wild, panicking as the smoke on the stage suddenly scattered.
Fuck, who the hell is doing this?!
Still, in a state of shock, I turned to Hannah who was now hiding under the table, covering her ears while trembling in fear.
"Hannah, come here, we need to get out!" I lend my hand to her, but she shook her head, obviously scared of what is happening.
But then, a silence suddenly prevailed over the whole place when a very loud demonic laugh rang around. I looked over the stage and squinted my eyes to see who was standing in front of everyone.
Who is this intruder?!
Scanning the intruder's body, who is wearing all-black clothes with a mask on built up a tense feeling inside me. I budge when its eyes darted on me, I can feel behind its mask that he was smirking at me. I stepped back a bit as my lip twitched in nervousness when he was about to approach me.
What does he need from me?
"Stop right there whoever you fucking are!" I blinked when Hannah bravely blocked me from the intruder as so Tyron did who appeared in front of me, but that didn't make my fear less building up inside me, because his eyes were still pinned on me, evilly grinning at me.
"Don't you dare!" Tyron threatened as he went next to Hannah to cover me too.
It's making me nervous. Who is he? Why is he messing with my party?
"How sweet, didn't know you have these dumdum stupid guardians? Hahahahahaha! That's hilarious!" Its insulting laughter filled the whole place, which made me feel annoyed, wherein I also noticed that she's a girl based on her voice.
Why doesn't she just say what she needs?! She's scaring all my visitors here!
Do I even know this woman?
"Relax, my dear. I'll just give you my gift right here!" She smirk, as she twisted a small box in her hand. My gaze landed there and frowned.
A gift? Does mess up with my party isn't enough as a gift? She literally ruined everything!
"Who are you? Why can't you show us your face? Is that how ugly you are that's why you're hiding behind a freaking mask?" Hannah's insulting question made the intruder scoff.
"What do you need, and you're fussing in here?" Tyron asked calmly...
"Don't worry, I won't hurt your lovely friend, Ciara. Just let me hand her my gift." She smiled creepily.
What could be inside that box? That's probably not a bomb, right? Why would she bring a bomb here knowing that there are a lot of people she might affect. If I was at fault for her, she would have just confronted me, not like this.
"How can we make sure you won't make trouble?" Hannah asked.
She has already made trouble...
"Why don't you tell me who you are and directly tell me what you need? Are you even aware that you literally looked so autistic?" I growled and inevitably sounded sarcastic, I hate the tone of her voice and even her laugh, it's hurting my ears.
"Oh, I didn't know you can speak?" She insulted sarcastically and annoyingly. I glared at her.
"You'll soon find out who am dear, just wait for the right time," its voice was so serious that it gives a chill to my nerve.
We were all in that position when we got surprised by something thrown and exploded in front of us, which made the place covered with smoke again.
"Damn it!
"Where is she?!" I heard Hannah's voice.
I tried to open my eyes even though there was still a lot of smoke which made my eyes hurt. I scanned the place and seems like that crazy intruder has gone already.
How did she manage to get fade that quickly?
I looked at Hannah who was now holding the box.
Isn't that what the intruder was carrying earlier?
"Be careful," Tyron said as Hannah was about to open the box.
"What's inside this?" She asked in astonishment as she looked at it carefully, slowly opening and peeking inside.
"Paper?" She asked in confusion when she got what was inside the box. She immediately opened and read it, but surprisingly, her reaction changed.
Why was she surprised? What is written on the paper?
I grabbed it from her and also read what was written on the paper itself.
"Be ready, my dear! Your death is coming!"
When I read it, it was full of blood, so I immediately let you go.
"W-what is she planning? What's that for?!"
I saw Tyron pick it up and frown when he looked at it.
"What's written, Tyron?" Raiza asked in surprise.
He handed it to them.
"What's that? Ew, it was covered with blood! Err! Disgusting!" Jennifer said.
"It's a Death Note," Raiza muttered while staring at the paper.
"What does she need from me?" I asked incredulously.
I just sat in the chair, because I felt weakness in my knees.
"Darling, what's going on?! What happened out here?!" I turned to mommy as she approached where I was. She was obviously confused and anxious.
"I don't know how we got trapped inside the house earlier. Just, all of a sudden, everything we could get out of was locked. But, what really happened here?!" Mommy asked in confusion.
I just shook my head, "someone just sent me a death note," I cried as I responded.
"W-what ?!" She shouted in disbelief. Raiza handed the paper to mommy.
"Who is that person and where did she get the courage to mess with your party, and send such bullshit?! Aish! I sincerely apologize to everyone for whatever happened here. I'll just fix it. I'm really sorry. Tyron, please, please watch over them first. I'll just take care of the guests. " Worriedness and panic were evident in her voice.
"I'll take care of it, Tita."
I just clenched my fists, as I feel my handshakes in nervousness and fear.
What does she want? I can't understand. Did I do anything wrong to her? Why does she have to do this to me? Why aren't my problems can't get over to me?
"Raiza, have you recognized her?" Jennifer asked Raiza, who seemed to be deep in thought right now, which made us all look at her.
It makes me more curious and wondered as Tyron and Raiza stares at each other, they seemed to be worried.
What are they thinking?
"Raiza, do you know her?" Tyron asked again.
"I don't know, I'm getting confused!"
What does she mean?
"I don't know anymore who could be their target," my brows furrowed.
'What? Target? Does she know anything?
"What do you mean, Raiza?" Hannah asked.
"She's Shaira, Shaira Soriano. I'm hella sure about this."
"Soriano?!" Shocks were evident on our faces.
"Do you know her, Hannah?" Raiza gazed at Hannah who now looked confused too.
'Does she know that person?"
"I don't know, I'm not sure, but I've heard that name, it's familiar to me." She said as if her thoughts were too deep.
"I already saw Shaira Soriano with a man when I tried tailing him that day, I don't know who he was, but he was wearing all black clothes." Hannah snapped as she heard Raiza say that.
"A-all black? Is that person also wearing a mask?" Nervousness has clearly drawn on Hannah's face. Raiza's face became more serious.
"Do you perhaps know him, Hannah?" Raiza asked.
Why did she know that?
Tyron's pov
We all looked at Hannah because of her answer. I feel like my heart throbbed for a moment as I remember the day I went to her house and saw her talking to that suspicious man.
Who is he? Does she know anything about what is going on?
Hannah blinked emphatically, "Hannah, do you know him?" I repeat the question.
"Yes, I know him." She answered and directly looked me in the eyes.
I gulped.
'N-no.. does she see me that time?'
