Clara
After having my extremely early breakfast, we head back to the bedroom. I want to call breakfast because it is already morning. I have had my fill and I am ready to go to sleep.
Inside the bedroom, Damien puts the bedsheets aside for me to enter. Okay, this is too much pampering but I can't help but fall in love with how much Damien is willing to take care of me in every way.
I get into the bed and watch him as he towers over the bed to cover me with the duvet cover. My heart swoons at the feeling of being loved this much. Damien was very willing to go and save me despite the fact that he put his family at risk and all his responsibilities.
"What is cooking in that head of yours?" he asks me , after catching me staring at his face.
"I was just thinking about everything. About yesterday and tonight," I tell him.
"Don't stress yourself about it. It is over and is behind us now. Don't even think about it," he tells me and then enters the bed.
"I want to but I think this is was a test for us. I mean everything happens for a reason and maybe there is a reason as to why this had to happened. Maybe me being kidnapped was the only way you could find Lazarus and stop his evil plans," I tell him.
"We would have found Lazarus any other way other than you getting kidnapped. I don't like the way it has to be. You could have got have in any unimaginable way. I would. ever have forgiven myself if anything bad happened to you," he says.
"I know that, Damien but that is how it had to be so don't even blame yourself for what happened," I tell him. He punches his eyes shut as if trying to give it a thought.
I get up from my spot and sit on his laps, putting my legs on either side of his thighs. I touch his face and caress his firm cheek. He then opens his eyes and the ocean blue eyes bore through mine.
"Clara, in the future, I don't want you to go through this kind of danger for any kind of reason because of me. You have no idea how worried I was about you," he says.
"I know that but I don't think that is going to happen again. You are the one who said that he isn't going to bother us," I say and smile at him. I don't like seeing him this sad and lost in thought. I want him to always be lively and smiling.
I hold his face in my hands and give him a quick goodnight kiss. He holds me by the waist and turns us over so that I am the one under him. He pulls my lips between his and kisses me fully on the mouth, as if to show me how it is done.
I open my mouth willingly as his tongue invades in tasting means claiming me all at the same time. I just kiss him back without demur. Oh, my man can kiss! I can never get enough of him.
I can feel his strong hands creeping under the shirt I am wearing. He grabs my bare ass and pulls me closer to him so that I can feel how hard he is. Mmm... All my intentions of going to sleep have already disappeared. I would rather stay up all night doing what the bulge in his pants is trying to communicate.
I wrap my legs around his waist and dig my heels into his ass so that he can come even closer. Oh, jeez... I want him so bad!
Damien pulls away from the kiss and he let's go of my ass. No! I don't let go of him, however because I really want to do this. I can see what he is up to and I don't want it.
"Sleep," he orders. I immediately shake my head no. I don't want to sleep right now. I wanted to but that was before the delicious kiss and the feel of how much he also wants me.
"Oh, god. Clara please go to sleep. You may not want to but you need it," he says.
"No. I want you," I tell him. And he knows that but he is just being stubborn.
"Please," he pleads.
"No. I need you more," I tell him.
"You need me more than sleep, huh? You know I am just going to wear you out and I don't want that to happen," he says.
"I am fine. I just ate and I am really energetic," I try to coax him.
"You will be more energetic and lively when you wake up," he says.
"No, I want you now. Please," I beseech him. He pinches his eyes shut like it is really hard for him to decide. I know he knows how much I really want him. I can smell my own arousal and all this pleading is just getting me even more wanton.
"No," he simply responds. All my excitement and horniness take a nose time. I don't know whether it is because he just denied me or because I didn't expect his rejection. I don't think I will be able to recover from this shock quick enough.
I know that that Damien has has the right to say no to me even though he is my mate. I just want to scold myself for over reacting to this, but I just stare wide-eyed at him without like I have been dumbstruck.
"Clara don't over think about it. It is just a simple thing. I want you to rest your head. I am not rejecting or denying you," he says.
"It is taking all my selfcontrol not to strip this t-shirt off your body and instantly claim what belongs to me," he tells me, his eyes dark and glazed with dust. I want to be understanding, but I really want him. I don't want to be difficult though. I know Damien really cares about my well-being and I don't want to tempt him further.
"Okay," I finally say after surrendering.
"Thank you understanding. I don't want you to go to sleep when you are angry at me though," he says while cocking his head to one side to study my face. I don't want him to think that I am mad at him. I don't want to be mad at him over such a simple thing either. I smile at him to let him know that I everything is fine.
"That's good. Now be a good girl and go to sleep. No more talking," he commands. I nod and peck him on the lips before burying my head in his chest. I close my eyes and hope to catch some sleep. When Damien throws the duvet over us, I cuddle into his embrace as sleep takes over me.
The room is very bright when I open my eyes. I stretch my hands on either side of the bed but it it's empty. Damien must have already got up. What time is it? I lift my head quickly off the pillows and end up feeling massive dizziness. I think I lifted too quickly. I put my head down for a moment until I feel better.
I look around the room but Damien isn't in here. He might have got up earlier than I thought. The spot where he slept is already cold. Jeez... Did he even sleep at all?
Maybe it is really late because it looks pretty bright outside. Wait! There is a clock in this room. There it is!
Three o'clock!
When did time run so fast? I think I over slept. I must have been more exhausted than I thought. However, I feel better now. I should get up and prepare myself for the day, or evening, whatever.
I get out of the bed and first organize it. After making the bed, I begin to debate on whether to go down stairs and find Damien or to go to the bathroom and take a shower.
There are so many vampires in this house and I don't think Damien would like it if I go around the house wearing nothing but his shirt. Bathroom it is!
After freshening up, I wrap a towel around myself and walk into the bedroom. What now? I don't have what to wear. I can't put on my clothes. I have been wearing those since God knows when.
I walk into Damien's closet and wonder what to do next. Shirts, trousers, jeans and an endless list of male attire which I can't even just put on and turn a blind eye. Next time I come back here, I will come prepared with all my clothes and everything. I am moving in! I tell myself. Well, I wish it was that easy. I wish I could just move in and live here with Damien without fear of anything.
"Looking for something?" Damien's voice startles me out of my reverie. I turn and find him standing there with a handsome grin on his face. He has something in his hands, it looks like a piece of cloth. Very thoughtful as ever.
"I had no idea you would be already awake so I thought I could sneak in with this dress so that you can find it already there when you get out of bed," he says while handing me a red dress with white poker dots.
"That is very thoughtful of you. Thank you," I tell him.
"It's my pleasure," he responds and then winks before leaving. Wait! What! Did Damien just wink at me?
