Under The Moonlight: Alpha's Bride Chapter 60

Chapter 60 Xavier's Pov She was fleeing; her wavey hair was a few inches away from my hand while she was swinging in the air, and she wasn't even turning to look at me, even though I was dying to see her face. Her desperation to get rid of me was causing her to move around; she was filled with rage for what she was holding inside of her for me. I extended my hand again to stop her from running away from me; her shoulder was only an inch away from my fingertip, but her desire to flee from me was stronger than my meager hope of regaining her. "Stop!!" I screamed. Her steps were speeding up by the second, becoming the melody of the birds' songs that could be heard all over the jungle. The sun was about to kiss the golden sky goodbye. "Do not flee!" I yelled again, wanting her to come back to me as she ran through my hand like sand. as if she didn't want me to see her face again. Sansa came to a halt on the edge of a cliff, with a ditch on the other side. She turned to me. Her teary eyes were filled with hatred. Her hair swayed to the rhythm of the breeze, caressing her soft, milky face. "Don't come near me," she said angrily as I took one step towards her and she took two steps back, about to fall off the cliff. "Alright, alright, I'm going to do whatever you say; please come here." I was out of breath and terrified. I knew after spending some time with her that she made every decision emotionally, which is why I kept thinking about the mess she was about to make. She was willing to go to any lengths to harm me. She could die just to make my life miserable. Her two steps could cause her to fall into a deep ditch. I might never see her again. The thought of not seeing her again caused excruciating pain in my chest, and deep anxiety drew my soul in. I was helplessly staring at her, hoping to catch her in my arms. "I'd like to leave; I don't want to live with you." She was sobbing because her heart was broken. "My life was improving, but you ruined it." Her foot movements made me choke. I was sweating profusely, my energy was dwindling, and I couldn't feel my legs or hands. I was too weak to protect her because I was trying to persuade her to change her mind. "Alright! You are free to leave; I will allow you to. Hold my hand; you can leave right now; I won't stop you!" I said to her. "You're a liar!" she yelled. "I hate you." "Please don't; I'm telling the truth; you are free to leave." When my heart was feeling strange, like any kind of pain that was not visible but was increasing by the second, I kept saying what she wanted to hear. "I am prepared to die, but I will not hold your hand," she said angrily. "No, please do not do that; please hold my hand." When I was losing patience, I begged her to hold my hand. Tears that didn't waste any time in making her see the pain I was in, the hopelessness she desired to see. Her vengeance was not yet complete. "I despise you! You'd never be able to make me yours!" Sansa stated She took a step back and looked at me with teary eyes as if she were taking revenge on me. I attempted to walk toward her, but my legs did not move. I pushed myself, but I couldn't get them to move. They were not even felt. All I could do was scream as she took her final step back and fell off the cliff, refusing to hold my hand. When my face was covered in sweat, I awoke and gasped for air. My heart broke as she died, and tears streamed down my cheeks. I was sitting in my private jet, my breath slowly stabilizing as soon as I realized it was a dream. I turned to look around when they all pretended they hadn't seen me awake from a nightmare. "Still in the air?" I inquired as I checked the time on my wristwatch. "There are still 30 minutes," Frank said as he sat in another seat I turned to my left and saw Marina sitting there, locked in the chains, staring at me with hateful eyes. I earned her rage by betraying her. She had every right to despise me. I turned to face Adam, who was already standing and seemed to want to speak. "Levine—"  When I was anxious, I couldn't speak because my mouth was dry. "Get some sleep. You haven't slept in days, you woke up after an hour, and you need rest to care for Levine," Adam stated. "Is he okay?" I inquired. Adam shook his head in dissatisfaction. I could tell he was hiding something because he avoided making eye contact with me. "Where is he?" I grabbed his coat collar. "He needs to rest; his pulse isn't stable; we need to hurry," Adam lamented. My restless mind with bad thoughts was not clearing my anxiety, and my eyes refused to close when my heart was not allowing me to sleep because it was frightening to open my eyes and hear bad news. I was only that unhappy once when I lost my parents and didn't want to lose my brother, whom I had been looking for for years. "What took so long?" I yelled as I stood up. While Eric and Ajay were flying the jet, my heavy steps reached them "faster! I can't wait any longer." "The weather is not in our favor. We are in danger." Eric elaborated "I don't care; take me home," I said huskily. "Whatever you say," Ajay said, pushing a few buttons and pulling on the handle. "Hurry!!"  Kris's voice reached my ears. I followed his constant voice from a distance. "Give me the medkit as soon as possible," Kris's voice was trembling. My steps were quickening as I suspected something fishy was going on. The jet echoed with a noise. "Clean the blood," Kris grumbled. I arrived at the location where Levine was lying on the stretcher, motionless and vomiting blood; his clothes were stained with his blood. when his condition was getting worse. I took the towel and kneeled in front of my brother, who was fighting for his life every second. he was strong just like my father. I wanted him to hang on for as long as he could; I wanted him to win the battle he was fighting; I had so much to talk about with him; and I wanted to explain to him how important he was in my life when I had never had the chance to do so before. I wanted to hear him call me brother after years of desperately wanting to hear his voice. I wish he could accept me without hating me; he blamed me for not being present to save our parents, which was the most regrettable part of my life. I didn't care who hated me, but Levine's rude behavior towards me was hurting me as if I were shot by a thousand bullets in my chest. I wish I could tell Levine how much I love him just once if I ever had the chance. I was helpless as I watched my brother die in front of me, groaning in pain as he coughed up blood. When he was dying, he was gasping for air. He was the strongest warrior, but he was losing. Levine's bloody hand held my wrist and slowly opened his half eyes as I extended my shaky hands to clean his blood from the towel. I have faith. A little hope was like a blessing that I didn't want to end. "Levine! your brother is here" I was attempting to communicate with him when he was unable to respond. "Can you hear what I'm saying?" I begged desperately for his response. Kris was checking his pulse while Martin was cleaning blood from his mouth, and the entire pack was watching Levine succumb to his injuries. "Levine," I said, my voice breaking as tears streamed down my cheeks like a waterfall. Levine tried desperately to move his lips, but he couldn't speak. I saw tears fall from his eyes as he closed both of his eyes, and his hand fell after losing energy as if a soul had left his body. "Levine?" When he stopped moving, I called his name aloud. "What happened?" I asked Kris, who was already looking disappointed. "Why did he shut his eyes? Is he—-"  I was about to say something, but Kris cut me off. "He lacks the strength to remain awake; he is unconscious," Kris explained after checking his veins. Martin was assisting Kris as he operated Levine. I was going insane because I had never felt so much pressure in a dangerous battle. I never expected to meet my brother in such a way. Kris tore his shirt apart to treat him. His entire body was covered in scars, both old and new. Wounds that were both severe and fatal. Levine was lying there like a corpse. the rotten smell of death emanating from him; dirt was visible in his long, dirty nails, and dirty hair was tangled. Dirt on his face concealed his truly soft and milky skin. When the plane touched down, 30 minutes flew by in an instant. Kris and Martin dragged Levine's stretcher toward the mansion. "Call Maya and Elodie from the mountain," Kris instructed Hamza to do. Maya and Elodie were spiritually strong at a time when Dr. Kris was losing hope of saving Levine's life. I had no idea who was around; their voices faded in my mind as I focused on Levine, who began to gasp for air; he was losing his life. Pack members contacted us quickly. "Prepare the room for the treatment, and bring everything we have," Adam instructed the pack members Martin placed the oxygen mask over Levine's mouth as they moved him to the room and began his treatment. Kris was giving him an electric shock because his heartbeat was too slow. I was losing hope of ever seeing him again. "Please save him and take Levine with you!" My mother's voice rang out in my ears. Maya came in and called my name "Xavier," but she couldn't finish her sentence because she couldn't bear watching me suffer. My final words to her were, "Save him." "What's wrong with Levine?" Maya asked Kris about it. Kris glanced at me before responding to Maya, "He is not fine." Kris was keeping something about Levine's condition from me. He was using only a few words to describe Levine's worst condition. Maya placed her hand on Levine's brow, and when he stopped moving, Maya's eyes turned white. When Maya was whispering strange words, his entire body began to jump abnormally. "You shouldn't be here," Leo's voice began to echo as my vision blurred. "Please take Levine... with you," Mother begged as her voice was inside my head "Xavier, you wait outside," Martin said in a variety of tones, or I lost my mind. "Save Levine, Xavier." mother's voice echoed in my head. When I was losing myself and watching Levine shiver in agony, I took a few steps backward while putting both hands on my ears to stop her voice, but I couldn't stop my tears. When the voices in my head became more audible, I bolted from the room.
