Under The Moonlight: Alpha's Bride Chapter 34

Chapter 34 Sansa's Pov I was breathing heavily, and my eyes were wide open as I turned back to look at the person who had followed me all the way there while aiming for a pistol. "Bella! " I lowered the pistol and replaced it in my pocket. Bella glanced at the scratch on my wrist, which I was concealed from everyone, that the scratch girl gave me by holding it tightly. Under my long coat sleeves, I was hiding. "Where you got that?" She was intrigued by the pistol. "It's a present." I avoided making eye contact with her because I was a terrible liar. "What exactly are you doing here?" She inquired. "Do you live in this house?" I inquired. "What is your reason for visiting this location?" She was adamant. "I found a mountain girl in the jungle and brought her here; she was injured," I explained after a brief pause. "What were you doing at night in the jungle?" Her gaze was fixed on me, making me even more nervous. She was either unaware of my escape or wanted to confirm it. "Getting some fresh air," I lied, knowing she knew I lied to her. "I'm not going to tell anyone, but trust me, you're not going to be able to escape this hell; I wasted 5 years playing hide and seek." Bella laughed as she looked around the house, which she had never seen before. "Why did you attempt to flee? Aren't you a part of the pack?" I inquired out of curiosity. "That was obvious with the evidence; next time, get rid of the evidence first." Bella completely refuses to respond to me. "She requested assistance; we must locate her," I explained. "She might go back to the mountain." "However, I'm still unsure what if..." She cut me off. "Are you concerned about her?" "If you had seen her in the worst condition, you would have been as concerned about her as I was." Bella was laughing; her mysterious personality and brutal statements always piqued my interest. She stood out from the crowd. I wasn't sure if I could trust her. "No one here talks like you," she pointed out. "What exactly do you mean?" "The people you're seeing right now have all put masks on their faces. They don't have one face, but rather too many. Be careful." She was the first to warn me about impending destruction since the day I arrived. I followed Bella as she began to walk through the jungle. "You said you've been trying to escape this place for 5 years; Because you were alone, you must not have found a way out yet. Why don't we work together to escape? It's always better two than one." I offered her the position of my partner. "Do you think I'm a fool?" Bella shoved me away. I was becoming irritated by her. She was attempting to contain her rage. I might bring out the old wounds she had been carrying. She was thinking about a lot of things at the moment. She was hiding a lot of secrets, but she was trying hard not to talk. "There is no way out," she said after a brief pause. "How about we try it together?" "There are many ways to find out, but escaping them is impossible. You have no idea what I've been through; only your death will set you free." Bella's words cut me like a knife. My heart was shattered into many pieces. I was losing hope of escaping. She had been demotivating me ever since I met her. I began to walk alongside Bella, wanting to ask more questions. "So, what made you try to flee?" Bella did not respond as she continued to walk alongside me. "Why do you despise all of them so much? They all appear to be friendly." I needed some information. I continued to trigger her with my words to get something out of her while she clutched her punch tight, controlling the storm inside. "You talk too much; keep your distance from me." Bella slammed me against the tree while her stormy eyes fixed on me. She began to walk away. I exhaled deeply, frustrated. As I turned my head, I noticed smoke in the air. I followed it and approached the girl sitting in a meditation position on the ground. Her eyes were full of white, her skin cracked, and the heavy smoke danced around her. She was there, but she seemed to be in another world. She couldn't feel anyone's presence while staring, so she continued with her ritual. I cleared my throat as I remembered what she had done to my wrist when her eyes were full of white, my heart was racing, and her presence was sending electrical shocks through my body. because she was the most unpredictable. I was walking backward while keeping my gaze fixed on her. I collided with Bella. "Are you no longer concerned about her?" Bella teased "What's the matter with her?" My voice trembled along with my body. Bella crouched down and crossed the smoke slowly. "Hina? Hina, are you listening? Hina?" Bella softly called her name. Her eyes gradually returned to normal, as did her senses, and her facial skin returned to its normal softness and radiance. For a brief moment, the girl was stunned looking around her. She didn't seem to know how she got there. Drops of tears filled her big grey eyes; her face was sad, and she was trying hard not to cry. I had no idea what was wrong, but I could feel her pain. She was in pain and dealing with significant damage. "It's ok," Bella's soft voice came out of her mouth. The girl was crying silently. She couldn't express herself because she was in shock. "You're fine," Bella reassured her, taking her hand in her own. The girl hugged Bella while silently crying; her miserable appearance made me wonder how much pain she was in. The cruelest woman spread venom at every opportunity, had a bad mouth, was a disappointed woman, heartless, and the meanest. They referred to her as such. The outcast member of the pack was softly patting her back to make the unhappy girl feel better. That girl reminded me of myself; I was miserable, too, suffering from severe depression. When I was beaten by the man for stealing the bread, I had no one to call, no one to talk to, and no one to treat my injured body. My hunger forced me to confront the worst of my fears at a time when I was already going through the worst period of my life following the death of my father. I was living on the streets, terrified of my own shadow in the middle of the night. We all want to be comfortable from time to time. The sound of the waves cleanses us in desperate times, on lonely nights under bright stars without shelter, when we want someone to hold our hands and walk by the shore. desperately wanting someone to hold you, hug you, keep you warm on cold nights, and make you feel safe. to fill you up with the emptiness within you. Being with someone is a priceless experience. Logan was the one who held my hand when I needed someone by my side the most. He was a blessing to me, a shelter that kept me safe from the pouring rain. He was a moon in the darkness of my life, a poem of my love, and the cool air of summer. Like a thread on a kite, it helps the kite stay balanced no matter how high it flies. The kite's only grip is the thread. Logan was the only grip I wanted to keep to keep my life in order. Since I left him, the guilt has been killing me inside, but I had to leave him to keep him alive. Would he ever forgive me? I'd been thinking about it since I walked with Xavier.
