"Do you want to go with me?"
My eyes went to him in so much confusion. The smile grew over his face. His tongues passed through his lips before nodding slightly.
"W-Where are we going?" I panicked a little.
"In Manila, I'll check the site for the new Mall." he answered. He now rested his arms at the table.
I had to breathe properly to show no interest of his offer. But I became even more ashamed because I couldn't answer right away.
"I already booked a ticket to Manila." He added with a hitch of a brow.
"It will help you so you'll get familiar about how to run your company."
I contemplated. He has a point, it can help me if I start from the basics. And what's wrongif I go with him? We'll go there for work so there's no reason to be nervous.
"I want to go with you..." I answered without a blink.
I didn't feel tired even if we traveled from Queensland for a lot of hours. My eyes were too busy looking around. The only thing is that it was too crowded and the traffic is very bad.
"Hey, are you alright?" I felt him hold my hand while were entering a hotel.
"Ha? Uh, yeah... I'm fine." I murmured.
My cheeks heated. Even if I want to pull my hand away, I couldn't. It feels good, right and I feel like my skin is on fire. I gently squeezed his hand which made him look at my direction.
"Oh? I'm sorry..."
I pulled my hand and subtly moved away. But I saw how he slightly shook his head and smiled playfully.
Damn it! Did he notice it?! Oh, God! I shouldn't do this flirty things.
"We will meet our investors today. I think they are all in the lounging area." he whispered right behind my earlobe.
I slightly closed my eyes to scold myself. Relax, Emory, there's nothing wrong with what he did. He was just whispering in your ears, damn it!
"Oh–alright..." I stuttered.
We arrived at the said place where there are people waiting for us. This is not just a typical lunch meeting with our business partners. But it was a mind blowing welcome party for us.
"What is this all about, huh?" I nearly whispered to Hezekiah.
"Welcoming party for us..." He chuckled sexily. He waved his hands to the guests.
"It's my pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Grant!" The man with the grey coat approached him.
"Thank you, you must be Dr. Alaric?"
"Yes!" he glanced at me.
"Hi!" He offered his hand to me in confusion.
"My wife, Meredith Grant." Hezekiah introduced me.
I blinked repeatedly. My mind suddenly went blank.
"My pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Grant..." He stepped in and held my hand gently. It was late to recover from shock because he kissed my hand.
"Oh? I–ah, Thank you..." I said and pulled my hand.
"So, the whole team is here! I know you're already familiar with some of them, Mr. President." he said and faced the people in the table.
I felt Hezekiah held ny hand and guided me to the table.
He introduced me to all of them that I couldn't even remember some. The lunch meeting with the business partners, investors and Hezekiah's acquaintances in business was fun. Other that that, he was also planning a project, building a shipping yard like his plan before.
I couldn't breathe properly while we're inside the elevator. He only booked one suite for us. I wanted to complain but I couldn't because he was talking to Dr. Alaric who's just a few doors away from our suite.
"You have to do something, we can't be inside one room..." I whispered when I got the chance.
But he doesn't reply instead he just shrugged his shoulder as if he didn't hear anything from me.
"Please, enjoy your stay here. Mr. President." Dr. Alaric said when he stopped in front of a door.
"Thank you..." He tapped the doctor's shoulder with a smile on his lips.
I rolled my eyes skyward. Damn, what is that smile for?
I stepped my feet inside. I sighted our things on the couch. And yes, as expected, there is only one bedroom here.
"I'll go ahead, I need to go to the hospital now..."
"Oh, sure... just be safe..." Hezekiah tapped his shoulder again.
"Come on, I'm not staying here with you. I'll just book another room..." I said after the doctor left.
"What is wrong being together in one place?" he now chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and carried my traveling bag. But his firm hand stopped me. I raised my gaze at him who's now looking at me seriously.
"I'll go to the site alone, it's to hot and the traffic is bad. Just wait for me to come back." he said before letting me go and going out of the room.
I was left inside the room. I sighed before shaking my head and finally roaming my eyes around the room.
I pulled the big curtain open and my lips let out a smile when the cityscapes of Manila welcomed my sight.
"Beautiful..."
But after a few hours of looking around, Hezekiah was still out of sight. I glanced at my wristwatch and got disappointed when I saw that it's been three hours since he left.
I slumped on the bed and stared at the white ceiling. Really, Meredith? Did he only let you come with him just to be locked here all day?!
He can't do this to me, I didn't come with him just to do nothing. Because of annoyance, I stood up and went to the bathroom to take a bath. I planned to go out and look around the places while ai wait for him.
With the thought of being alone in the room, I went out with only a towel covering my body. But I froze in shock of what greeted me.
"Hezekiah! Uh... when did you arrive?!" I stuttered as I stared at him.
"A minute ago..." he answered.
He's lying on the bed, two arms folded over his head. I noticed how his eyes raked my body. His lips formed into a sexy smile and brows hitched a little. My cheeks instantly heated.
"W–why didn't you knock?!" I walked pass him and got my clothes from my traveling bag.
"I don't have any reason to do that. And this is also my room, remember?" he faced my direction while watching me.
Shit! Why can't I see my underwear? I rummaged my bag but I still can't see it.
I closed my eyes when I heard the bed sqeaked. I sighed heavily before turning to his direction.
"Can you wait outside? I'll just dress up." I said in my not so controlled voice.
Again, his lips revealed something I couldn't explain. He fixed himself on the bed and watched me deeply.
I don't have time to argue with him because I'm more worried of my underwear.
"Are you looking for this?"
My back straightened when I saw him holding my undergarments.
"W–What are you doing?!" My face was red while looking at what he's holding.
He was just shrugged his shoulder. He laid down again and held my panty with both his hands. His finger travelled along the lace up to the garter. He then turned his gaze at me with a sly smile on his face.
My eyes widened, I didn't think twice and went on the bed to get it from him.
"Give it to me!"
I tried to get the panty from him but he kept on raising it up.
"Come on, Hezekiah! It's not funny!" I yelled.
I went closer to him, it was late when I realized that I was already holding onto his chest. I was on top of him and one small move will make my towel fall.
