One of the perks of having a super rich boyfriend is that you'd get to see places and people you never dreamed of seeing and meeting and the downside of having him super hot too was the way the ladies were staring at Jake with stars in their eyes and it reminded Van of the first time she set sights on him and she couldn't blame them for their reaction. He's wealthy and good looking to boot and he was also hers.
Van instinctively grabbed a hold of his arm and leaned into him. Jake raised a brow and smiled knowingly but said nothing as they sauntered arm in arm down the Alona beach in Panglao Island, loving the feel of the white powdery sand that stretched across the beach. It seemed like something to do after a day of scuba diving in Balicasag and the Dolphin and Whale watching in Pamilacan Island. There was so much to do with so little time.
Van had been scared out of her wits as they got geared up, she'd never been so close to the vast ocean before and definitely not what she thought was the middle of it.
Jake had kissed her to reassure her and promised to hold her hand through it all.
The Dolphin and Whale watching was a totally different experience that had Van squealing in delight each time the Dolphins shoot out of the water, then she caught Jake staring at her like he was seeing her for the first time and she became self concious. He must think she's too loud.
As they watched the sun set on the beach, Van suddenly realised that she didn't quite have a specific dream. She'd never really sat down to think about what she wanted to do in the future, she couldn't be waiting tables and making coffee forever.
Van would’ve loved to go to college and get a degree with which she would then find herself a decent job but she didn't have anyone like Rella did so she'd have to work extra hard to get everything she needed in life.
This trip was the perfect moment to think about her future Van thought with a sigh and rested her head on Jake's shoulder.
"Are you okay, you've gone quiet."
"No, i'm just absorbing the beauty of the moment." She said smiling wistfully. "Did you know that my dad met my mom here? "
" Seriously? "
" Mmhmm. Right here on this beach and being the sappy romantic that I am I wanted so badly to see it and now that I have it's breathtaking, even more so that I'm with you right now."
"Do you know that you always take my breath away whenever I look at you. My only prayer is that nothing will ever tear us apart." Van thought she detected a hint of apprehension in his voice but decided that she must've imagined it.
"Me too, i've never been so happy in my life before like I am right now."
The day ended on a pleasant note and Jake insisted that they sleep together on the same bed but Van told him to take the sofa.
"My back hurt each time I sleep on the sofa." Jake protested. "Besides the bed is spacious so that should be safe."
"Is this about your back getting hurt or do you have something else in mind?"
Van eyed him coolly.
Jake’s mouth turned up in a smirk as he said, "I wouldn't mind a little cuddling." and then more serious he said, "I promise to keep my hands to myself."
"Oh yeah? I don't trust you."
"Ah you wound me sweetheart, i'm a gentleman."
Van smiled in spite of herself and didn't have time to react when Jake tackled her unto the bed and she squealed in surprise.
