The Strongest War God Chapter 2082

Chapter 2082: Life and Death Valley Chapter 2082: Life and Death Valley Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation “Finally, I don’t have to keep smelling that rotten stench.” As the sunlight warmed her face, Ivory Macadam’s expression softened. “Yeah, I felt like I was going to get moldy in there,” Rae Haase added, stretching lazily beside her, a look of comfort spreading across her face. “Alright, the sect’s disciple recruitment ceremony is still half a month away. Are you three heading back with me now, or…?” Locke Macadam asked, glancing at the group. “I’ll go back with you.” “Me too,” Falcon Macall and Rae replied, albeit hesitantly. The regions surrounding the Myriad Demon Mountain were nothing but barren wilderness—harsh and inhospitable for any normal person. If they could avoid it, Falcon and Rae likely wouldn’t set foot in the Dark Forest again in their lifetimes. The area was fraught with danger, requiring constant vigilance, and ferocious magical beasts could emerge from the decaying ground at any moment. “Alright.” Locke nodded before turning to his sister. “Sister, do you plan to go back with me?” “Our father mentioned that you have your own thoughts and told me to ask for your opinion directly.” Ivory hesitated. A woman’s intuition was often uncannily accurate, and hers told her she could learn much by staying close to Braydon Neal. Locke immediately noticed her hesitation and shifted his gaze toward the forest. “Lige, what are your plans from here?” Braydon’s cold figure appeared beside them, his black robes rippling in the breeze. His thin lips parted slightly as he spoke in an indifferent tone. “I’m heading to the Life and Death Valley.” At the mention of “Life and Death Valley,” Falcon and Rae’s faces paled. The valley’s name alone was enough to strike fear into hearts. It was a place for the ruthless—where killing went unpunished and the ground brimmed with precious treasures. The only catch: one had to survive five days to make it out alive. Nightfall there was said to bring horrors beyond imagination. Locke’s expression turned grim as he addressed Braydon. “Are you certain about going to the Life and Death Valley? That place is extraordinarily dangerous, beyond our control. Even transcendent-level experts have perished there.” “I’m aware of the risks.” Braydon nodded. “But it’s the best place for me to grow stronger, and I can’t afford to miss this opportunity.” Seeing that Braydon was resolute, Locke relented and handed him a jade piece. “This sensing jade carries my aura. If you make it out of the Life and Death Valley, crush it, and I’ll come to pick you up.” “Thank you,” Braydon said, cupping his hands in gratitude. “I, Lige Guay, will not forget this kindness.” Without another word, Braydon’s figure blurred into a shadow and vanished. Ivory instinctively moved to follow him, but Locke held her back. “What are you doing? A place like the Life and Death Valley is far beyond our ability to navigate.” “If Lige does manage to make it out alive, then our family will have something to bet on.” Locke narrowed his eyes as he watched the direction in which Braydon had disappeared. For years, the Macadam family had been bereft of prodigies, its influence steadily dwindling and even nearing collapse. Though his elder siblings were capable, their abilities alone weren’t enough to reverse the decline. In such turbulent times, advancing was the only way to avoid falling behind. Meanwhile, Braydon raced through the wilderness, ensuring no one followed him before unleashing his full speed. In just a few flashes, he covered a distance of ten thousand miles. While such a pace would exhaust most, Braydon’s spiritual power recovery outpaced his consumption, leaving him unconcerned. The Life and Death Valley, Braydon had learned from Ivory, was a spatial anomaly. Entry triggered random teleportation, and trust didn’t exist inside—only relentless bloodshed. The ground was perpetually stained red, a testament to the chaos within. Yet, the valley teemed with unparalleled opportunities. Only those below the lower three levels of the transcendent realm could enter; anyone stronger was barred by its mysterious restrictions. Even a group of dozens of level nine transcendents had failed to breach it, suffering severe injuries in the attempt. Soon, an inn appeared in the distance. As Braydon approached, a glint of cold steel caught his eye, and he turned sharply. A dagger whizzed past his cheek. “Not bad. This kid actually dodged it,” came a sinister voice, followed by the sound of another blade slicing through the air. Clang!  The sharp clash of metal rang out as Braydon unsheathed his sword. “Looks like this kid knows how to fight,” sneered a man stepping out of the grass, his garish outfit blending with the underbrush. He was soon joined by others, their predatory gazes locked on Braydon. “Hand over everything you have, kid, and we might let you live!” one barked. “We’re the four tyrants of Life and Death! We don’t leave so much as feathers on a wild goose or fur on a beast!” another added smugly. Braydon eyed them calmly. “Have you ever actually entered the Life and Death Valley?” The group faltered, then shouted indignantly, “No! Why?” “Then how can you call yourselves the four tyrants of Life and Death?” Braydon asked, genuinely puzzled. “I assumed you’d been inside. What a waste of time.” “Why, you little—!” One of them exploded with rage. But before he could finish, a cold breeze swept past. “I’m sorry you learned the truth,” Braydon muttered. The man froze in place as a wave of dread engulfed him. His gaze dropped to a headless, colorful body before realization struck: it was his own. With measured precision, Braydon sheathed his blade, ignoring the four corpses behind him as he continued toward the inn. Inside, dozens of eyes that had been eagerly awaiting a spectacle now watched him in stunned silence. Braydon had dispatched the infamous four tyrants so effortlessly that none dared cross him. This was no ordinary man—they knew better than to provoke someone so ruthless.
