The same day, I sat up from bed and walked straight to the window, I steered my eyes further and saw a lady scrolling close to Darren, as she gains his attention.
"Who's she?" I asked and kept staring through the window, it shouldn't be of a bother to me but, somehow I felt a little bothered by her presence around him.
(Kept watching from afar)
Darren smiles at every one of her talks and trusts me, I felt he was kinda getting used to her presence and while the young lady, tried to veer a little bit closer, she halts when I came between them both.
"Who are you?" She asked decerning me there.
"Hello, my name is Karol Darren drew and I am his wife!! Now it's my turn!! Who are you?". I returned my words to her as she pokes her head aside, disappointed.
"Am sorry!! Please excuse me". Without saying much, she leaves and turned her head away from us, Darren falls his eyes and stared at me.
I regained my attention to him and said, "are you okay? Who is she?".
"Who? Who do you mean?" He asked spinning the glass in his hand around the table.
I infer, he was trying to play the clueless game with me, and for some reason, it got me angered.
Matching the same look on my face, I got a hold of the bottle and angrily shoves it away from his reach, "now listen, to me, you're my husband and I don't like girls flocking their selves around you".
I attempted to leave but he dragged me back, jerked up, and pinned me to the wall.
He says, "wow, miss!!! Are you seriously, getting defensive about me?". (Smiles as he tugged my hair behind my ears)
The sent of his perfume lingered around my skin, I felt like the idea of getting defensive over a man whose relationship with me is tied down to, contract marriage, is crazy, and I shouldn't have stopped him from having fun with that lady, have I started falling in love with him?.
"Hello!! My fake wife?". He snapped me back to my senses, Paulding for a response.
I pulled my eyes downwards and saw his hands were still linked together with mine, I raised them and said, "please let go of me!! I won't be of bothering you".
Darren shoots me a sly smile, lets go of my hand and pulled a step away from me.
"You!! May go, goodnight, my fake wife". He turns his back on me.
I walked back into the hotel, after seeing his gaze drifts away from me, wonder what larks in his mind.
(THE FOLLOWING MORNING)
"Good morning!! Miss danger".
Darren's voice gets me up to the bed, "good morning, Darren!! And please I'll like to sleep" I said and turned my attention away from him, oblivious to the fact that someone accompanied him to the room.
"Really? Don't you wish to get up ?".
Ravi walked into the room, as long side Mr. Smith, who donned a straight face seeing me still on the bed.
"Get up!!". Mr. Smith says, to me arms linked together.
Without thinking, I jerked off the bed, brushing my eyes away from him.
8:00 am
After being surprised by the whole Drew family visit, I walked out, trying to get myself ready for the full day of seeing their faces, and by that, I mean, Mr. Smith.
"Karol!!".
Uncle Kevin placed his hands on my shoulders, "good day uncle". I weaved out a warm smile, and attempt to hide the fact that their sudden visit was a shock to me.
