After heeding to his words, I finally recalled my months of being with Darren is almost over, and I haven't gotten any nearer only getting Mr. Smith sent to jail for the crimes he committed.
"Shall we, have a romantic dinner?* He still maintained the exact look on his countenance and takes a first bite of the meatballs.
(Silence takes place as we quietly had a share of cute glances at each other).
He takes his wine glass and raised it from the table, charming his way around me. Somehow my eyes drift and fall on a gun pointed in our directions and directly to Darren.
"No!!". Luckily I pushed Darren to the ground as the bullet ran past and hits the champagne placed at the table
I jerked to from the ground and saw he was making a run for it, and without hesitation, I ran after him, in hot pursuit, our feet ran out of the hotel and on the streets, "stop? I called out to him, rather he increased his speed and so did I.
Darren was left at the hotel, donning a startled look on his face, he still couldn't phantom what just happened.
Thereafter, I kept on running after him, thus, it seems luck was on my side and he tripped and fell on the ground, which gave the name the opportunity as I got a hold of him.
"Who sent you?" I demanded an explanation, the strange man in question, played the silent game with me, and while trying to scoop out the truth from him, I was knocked out unconscious, by someone behind.
(Inaudible conversation)
A few hours later, I got up holding a hand on my head, urgh!! My eyes loomed around to infer I was back at the hotel, that would mean someone took me without my knowledge? But who?".
I spoke to myself that's when the doors to my room, pushed open by Darren, he says, "oh my goodness, you're finally awake? How are you feeling? What happened exactly? He concedes with a lot of questions, that I had no answers to, if only I saw how the masked man was and why he tried to kill Darren, the missing piece of the puzzle would be fixed.
So I answered back, disappointed by what happened" I don't know, Darren!! But we have got to know, who the masked man was?
After a few hours, Darren left without saying anything, hopefully, he gets the idea and goes to report the incident at the police station.
I stayed in the room, still having an after effect of the knock, I had an hour ago.
"Room service".
A masculine voice yelled outside, I opened up and saw he had some cleaning tools with him, "hello ma'am, I am here to clean the room" he lets out and gained access to my room after being invited in.
I walked into the restroom and left him to clean and it hasn't been a long while he came in here, he airs out and I quote, "you can come In ma'am!!" And leaves the room.
I scanned everywhere and I don't know if it was me but, I felt something wrong? It was either the young man, came in to do something else other than his work.
I searched everywhere and after finding out that nothing was wrong out of the ordinary, a relief tone buffed right out of me indeed I will be getting worked up without any reasons to be.
I have seriously need to get a rest before I lose my flipping mind.
