Listening to the whispers of the little nurses, Han Xi didn’t take it to heart and pushed the door to enter the office.
"Mr. Lu, please sit down for a moment." Han Xi said as she took the medical kit from the cabinet.
Han Xi placed the medical kit on the ground and squatted by the sofa, signaling Lu Jinghan with her eyes to lift his clothing.
Lu Jinghan understood, and with his slender, beautiful hand, pulled up the edge of his sweater, supporting himself on the sofa with his other hand at a forty-five degree angle.
Han Xi carefully removed the bandage covering his wound and began applying medicine skillfully: "Mr. Lu, your wound hasn’t fully healed, so you shouldn’t be drinking alcohol."
Seeing him at the restaurant last night and noticing the faint scent of alcohol on him, Han Xi said it without thinking.
"Alright, I understand."
Lu Jinghan’s lips curved into a gentle smile, and from his angle, he could see Han Xi’s side profile, her thick lashes slightly lowered, casting a silhouette on her fair skin, with a few strands of hair falling beside her ear, still carrying a faint milky fragrance.
Lu Jinghan unconsciously raised his hand to tuck those strands behind her ear, his fingertip touching the recess of Han Xi’s ear, as his eyes darkened slightly, and his refined Adam’s apple rolled slightly.
Han Xi raised her head, her gaze meeting Lu Jinghan’s deep and clean facial features, her face instantly blooming into a flush of red.
What was he doing? Did he know that such an action was very intimate!
Seeing Han Xi’s flushed expression, Lu Jinghan’s smile deepened: "I was worried that the stray hair might interfere with you applying medication and bandaging."
This reason is a bit too far-fetched.
Han Xi said nothing and just stood up, but the phone on the sofa rang, and she picked it up, casually seating herself on the sofa.
Only, Han Xi didn’t notice how close she was sitting to Lu Jinghan.
"Manman, what is it?"
"The man I saw yesterday, the one named Du something, I said I dressed up like a ghost and he still calmly stayed until the end of the meal. Turns out his intentions were elsewhere. He told my mom that he likes you and wants to try dating you."
After hearing Li Manman’s words, goosebumps rose on Han Xi, only feeling as if disaster had struck from nowhere: "I was just accompanying you to your blind date yesterday, and didn’t say a word throughout the meal, just eating. What does it have to do with me?"
Li Manman was also emotionally overwhelmed; though she had escaped from her dilemma, she had shifted the burden onto her good friend: "Oh well, in any case, my mom just gave your number to that Du whatever; she says he’s really good and wants you to try interacting with him, and he’ll probably call you soon."

As soon as Han Xi hung up, the phone rang again with an unfamiliar number. She guessed it must be that Du what’s-his-name, and without thinking, she raised her hand and hung up, a few seconds later, the ringtone sounded again, she hung up again, and it rang again...
Is this man’s brain filled with water? She’s clearly not answering the phone, why does he keep calling incessantly? His emotional intelligence must be really low.
Just as Han Xi was hesitating whether or not to answer the phone, a pair of large hands took the phone away, immediately followed by a clear and melodious voice: "Hello, who are you looking for?"
