"Hello, Mr. Du." Li Manman’s red lips curved into a smile as she nodded in greeting.
Du Jie Kai sipped the red wine in his hand, his gaze fell on Han Xi. The white embroidered sheer gown showed off Han Xi’s fine figure, her long hair draping over her slender waist, her features like a painting, and her watery eyes seemed sprinkled with stars, like an ethereal fairy oblivious to the earthly smoke.
Compared to Li Manman’s seductive and sexy beauty, Du Jie Kai preferred Han Xi’s clean, pure purity.
"Miss Han, isn’t your boyfriend accompanying you?"

Li Manman listened to the conversation between the two men and, noticing Han Xi’s blushing face, instantly conjured up some scenarios in her mind.
"That day my friend was sick, and since I knew Miss Han was a doctor, I wanted to consult her."
This lie was completely devoid of any technical finesse.
Li Manman noticed the awkward atmosphere and quickly smoothed things over: "Our Xiao Xi’s stomach isn’t feeling well, so she needs to go upstairs to take medicine. I won’t keep you company chatting."
Hearing Li Manman say this, Lu Jinghan’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. He looked down at the woman beside him, with a gentle voice tinged with concern: "Your stomach is hurting again?"

After shutting the bedroom door, Han Xi broke free from Lu Jinghan’s arm, stepping back a few paces: "Mr. Lu, if there’s nothing else, please leave."
Lu Jinghan said nothing, stepping closer to Han Xi one step at a time. Frightened, Han Xi retreated repeatedly, until she bumped into the edge of the bed, and suddenly tilted backward, instinctively grabbing onto Lu Jinghan’s shirt collar.
And then... the two fell together into the soft bed.
Lu Jinghan braced his arms on either side of Han Xi’s body, their noses brushing against each other, their breaths mingling, and the silence allowed only the sound of their heartbeats to be heard.
Han Xi’s face was flushed so red it seemed like it could drip blood, her hands nervously clutching her gown.
Lu Jinghan gently brushed aside the stray hair on Han Xi’s face, his dazzling dark eyes were too charming, deep like an ocean, drawing one in intoxicatedly.
