The machine beside me kept singing, my eyes trying to open as I constantly blinked out my blurry vision.
My head was in a meeting with my mind, asking me why it hurt so much.
Where was I?What happened to me?I tried to get up but the pounding in my head won't let me.
"Don't do that" a manly familiar voice from the background said.
Before I could look to behold him, his back was already facing me.
"Hey.." I managed to say faintly.
The doctor rushed in to run some tests, asking if I felt any pain. I answered with a nod but I didn't pay much attention to the doctor.
I wanted to know who the stranger was, how long have I been here?, was that Armando?.
"How long have I been here" I voiced out.
"About a week, Miss Jane," a smiling nurse said.
My eyes widened, what! How come.
"Don't worry, you're going to be fine" she said smiling again, I nodded.
Just when she turned her back to leave.
"Uhm, nurse.. please.. do you know the stranger that brought me here...I ..I ..mean... He was sitting beside me before you and the doctor came in... I..I was wondering if you could tell me who he was." I was so curious for an answer.
She gave me a faint smile and hesitated a while before saying something.
" Well...am not supposed to give that information, but just so you know, he's the owner of this hospital and like he said he'd rather stay anonymous," she said and walked out immediately before I opened my mouth to ask any more questions.
I sighed, Armando was just a priest, he couldn't possibly own a hospital, well I didn't even know him that much, was he rich and didn't want to tell me, but he looked too young to be this rich,
My eyes scanned the exclusive looking hospital.
Genesis came to see me often every morning before going to work, same with my parents and sometimes Frankie and Gerald.
Liya would say all day with me, making me laugh and leave in the evening.
I was mostly bored, sometimes I listened to music.
Every night I felt a male figure right next to me, the other side of my bed became heavy, and the warmth of this body sent electric shivers down my body.
This was supposed to be weird but I like how it felt, it's like I've known that body for long.
Every night I heard a whisper in my head, at first it felt like a dream but with time it felt more like someone sobbing and saying sorry, the voice sometimes says he loves me but I was too peaceful to find out who it was.
After one week of being in the hospital,I wanted to go home and I couldn't wait, the doctor already planned to discharge me tomorrow, I was feeling much better.
Mom and Dad already called to tell me they won't be making it to the hospital and said how sorry they were,Genesis too.
I must say I loved seeing them but one day won't kill would it.
I was expecting to see Liya but she didn't show up cause I remember her saying something about seeing the guy she met the day I got in an accident, he was taking her on a date.
Frankie and Gerald were always busy, my phone was full of boring people talking shit about how they looked, I was frustrated I cursed out.
I tried listening to a song to see if I could sleep off but nah that didn't work, I was restless, just then I remembered the nurse telling that the owner of the hospital was going to be around.
Yes! I have been asking about him all this while, so was my family.
I was more curious to see him, and Yes to thank him too for saving my life, I remember Liya telling the story over and over again.
She called him an angel and other names I rather not talk about.
I stood up from the bed, I needed to change into something else, luckily a little bag with neatly arranged clothes was inside, I quickly changed.
I walked straight to the elevator and clicked on the top floor quickly as possible so no one saw me, I giggled as a nurse saw but was too late to stop me, up I go.
As the elevator clicked open I walked slowly cause I was getting nervous, I didn't know why but I felt so.
"Hello, I am here to see your boss," I told the well dressed secretary smiling at me.
"Do you have an appointment ma'am" she asked
"Uhm... No.. but I really want to see your boss" I said a little nervously. I bit my lips.
"Am sorry ma'am, you can't go in if you don't have an appointment with him"..." You could drop your name and phone number so he can make an appointment with you" she suggested , but I wanted to know who the angelic hero of mine was.
I peeped to the glass door to see him standing by his window, his back facing me, his hand in his pocket,I guess he was in deep thought.
"Ok, I think I'll leave a note," I said, collecting the pen and paper from her hand.
I didn't feel like writing anything, I wanted to see him and tell him thank you myself, I wanted to see his face so badly.
I did like I wrote some, well I did and handed it over to her.
"Thanks," I told her and turned my back, walking a few steps away from her, when I heard her standing up to go to the bathroom.
If I ever wanted to see who this man was, guess I was going to do it now or never, I waited for her to leave and I took on my hills to the door of the man that had been staring at the window for only God knows how long.
I swung open the door .
"Am not in the mood for any appointment, Regina!.. I thought I told you that" as he turned to face me.
My mouth parted, my eyes unable to believe the presence of the creature in front of me, I froze but managed to whisper something.
"Ar..man..do!!" My throat became so tight, I needed air.
