There is something about her that simply won’t allow me to rest until I see her again. It wears at me and everything I do, like a worm that burrows through an apple. So, the minute we get home, I go right to her room.

I knock on her door and wait for her to answer it. After a few minutes, I unlock the door and open it to find her taking a nap on her bed. She looks absolutely beautiful with her hair spread across her pillow like an angel with a halo.
The last thing I want to do is make her scared again, but I need to wake her so I can talk about my day with someone. I am hoping this will ease the stress between the two of us. Maybe even help her understand everything a little more of how the werewolf territories work. Who knows? One day she may even rule them with me.
Sitting down on the edge of the bed carefully as to not wake her, I watch her breathe softly as her chest rises. Right away, I feel my pants tighten and I become painfully aware of the growing need withinside me to mate with her. I fear that if I don’t soon, I may end up forcing her to at some point and I certainly don’t want that. However, I at least must wait till she turns 18.
Hearing her stir next to me, I stand up and walk back quickly to the doorway. I knock again and this time she awakens and turns her head to stare at me. Her mouth opens and her sweet voice says, “Oh, it’s you. I didn’t really think you would come back today. You seemed to have so much on your plate.”
When I gaze into her eyes, I see something. Could it be that she is finally trying to be friendly with me? Has she gotten over being scared and understand that I won’t hurt her ever?
“I just had a dream about you. It was rather interesting to say the least.” She says rather coyly and then sits up in bed before scooting to the edge and staring at me with a smile on her face.
“Um, alright. Well, care to tell me about it?” I trail off when something absurd pops in my head.
Could she have been dreaming of the two of us together? It is possible, considering I am a king and I have her held hostage in my castle. Some women get a kick out of that sort of thing. It’s the beauty and the beast syndrome. I read about it once a few years ago.
Just as I am about to ask her, she interrupts me and says almost in a whisper, “I dreamt that you were my lover, and you were amazing.” She emphasizes the last part with wide eyes and a big smile on her beautiful face.
I hesitate for a moment and then ask while filled with curiosity. “No.” She says bluntly and then continues as she laughs at me. “Of course not. I was joking. I don’t really remember what it was about. Just that you were with me.”
“Oh.” I say sadly, because I begin to wonder if she will ever see things my way now.
Turning to face her, I move to her side and carefully take her hand before asking, “When do you turn 18? I want to give you a huge birthday party.”
Of course, when I say it, I have ulterior motives, but she doesn’t need to ever know that. I can’t wait for the night when I can make her mine. First, I must play my cards right and wait till she begs me to take her. Only then will I plunge into that sweetness and taste her.
Noticing that the swelling in my pants is becoming unbearable, I change the subject and ask, “Would you like to know about my day and what I had to do outside the castle?” She nods and licks her lips, but somehow it makes me wonder if she secretly knows how I feel about her and that is why she does it to tempt me.
“Well, I had to take a trip to one of my alpha’s packs. They have been becoming unruly as of late and I had to set them all straight. Unfortunately, I found out too late that it was the alpha who was the wrong doer. See, I thought that one of the groups was causing trouble, so I had to dispose of an especially mouthy individual. However, I was wrong. I should have never listened to and trusted that alpha. He had been starving his people and mine. They thought I didn’t care at all, but to the contrary I didn’t have any idea that it was happening, or I would have put a stop to it right away. As it is, I feel bad about killing a man who didn’t deserve it after all.” I pause for a moment and stare into the corner before continuing. “Even though I feel bad about killing that man, it doesn’t stop me for one second from ruling my kingdom the way that I do. After all, it’s the only reason why everyone respects me, or at least I hope they do.” Feeling incredibly exposed, it’s the first time I have ever let anyone in on my thoughts and feelings before.
I don’t know why I figured she would run away from me in some shape or form, but she does the exact opposite, and it scares me to no end. Watching as she she scoots towards me and pats the bed next to her with doe eyes, I hesitate for a few seconds. If I do this, I will be tempted to go much further, maybe even take her. The question running through my mind is if she begs me will I take her or wait till she is of proper age?
Sighing deeply, right before I take the plunge and sit next to her, I think of one thing and it boggles my mind. Do I love her? Because she is the only thing I can think of when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think of when I fall asleep at night. With this thought running around my brain, I turn to face her and when she opens her lips all reason ceases to exist.
