Dawn's pov:
"Walk faster...you brainless rat" King Lee groused pulling me along with him.
Oh Geez!!
I scuttled behind him quickly and I was utterly gob smacked he didn't let go off my hand.
I was starting to feel scared and unsafe.
Why's he being strange and...nice - like he has known me for ages or something.
We got to the sitting room part of his chambers. The sofas were coated with black leather and and gold table.
Like...everything in the room was glittering.
It made me recall what happened at the bathroom. I was carried away with the brightness of everything that I didn't realize I was using King Lee's leg soap.
Gosh!
"I need your ideas on this two portrait" He started and unveiled the two covered framework.
A 'wow' tore from my lips on seeing the two goddamn photos.
Who took this photo???
It was so perfect and King Lee's poses left me speechless.
His beautiful black hair was literally shimmering and he wore diamond earrings.
"I said I needed your ideas, not to see you drool like a bloated goat" He cussed walking to the curtains.
I smiled wryly reacting to his remark.
I really didn't care about the insults but now, I felt despondent.
His insults was starting to pierce my heart...why???
I'm never like this.
"Tell me the one that's best for the upcoming party" He said taking his hands to his robe.
I examined the two portraits;
The one on the right was at a black background and get wore a dark and red suit which definitely looked great on him.
He was more calm and s'xy dangerous on that portrait.
Moving onto the next one, he has a strict face. A white suit and he was covered in gold. So handsome.
"C'mon, you're taking too long Anna. Are the photos that bad?" He peeved glaring at me.
"I don't know what to say, Your highness. Please call and expert or something to check the photos" I bantered with a pout.
"If I wanted them to be the one to check the photos, you won't be here by now. Just dig deep in that small head of yours and tell me the one that's appropriate for the party" He sneered walking towards me.
I remained confused with both eyes fixated at the portraits.
He really wants me to be the one to choose a photo for him??
This is ridiculous.
He was now standing behind me as I finally made up my mind.
"Its hard for me to choose but I'll go with the first one, your highness" I stated with a little hesitation.
He was standing close to me and I had my back on him. His cold breath hovered on my neck and ear.
The rate of my heartbeat changed immediately and it began going faster.
He gripped me softly by my waist and I shrunk within me.
What the heck!!
"I realized something yesterday, Anna. After you left and I returned to my bedroom. I noticed...there were no headaches and migraines I've been battling with for the past two days".
I gulped as anxiety got the best of me.
Has he found out about my powers? Could it be he figured it all out himself??
If its true then I'm doomed.
He'll never pardon me for having such powers and using it on him.
His father was cruel and made sure to destroy anybody with some kind of hidden abilities.
"We'll talk about this tomorrow" He whispered and removed his hands from my waist.

"You picked the exact photo I had in mind and your reward is to meet my dog" He stated and walked out from the sitting room while I followed behind.

We arrived at a glass door which was wide opened and it seemed to lead outside...
Hold on - This is a garden but not the one I had met him at earlier.
It looked like his private garden.
But how in the world could a garden be built way up in his chambers?
I gawped at the amazing sight around us. Precious golden flowers were planted everywhere and the grass appeared spotless.
"Phoenix?" He called out and a loud bark followed.
A white huge dog rushed to us and I flinched and took refuge behind King Lee.
He chuckled and squated to the dog's level.
He didn't say a word as he rubbed the dog's back smoothly.
"He's cute" I managed to say though I still couldn't come close.
King Lee sighed and shook his head.
"He's been sick for almost a month now. Some kind of dog virus and there's no cure yet for it...He's been suffering and I won't like to see him in much pain. I'll kill it tomorrow morning" He groused and got up.
I cringed staring at the poor dog.
"Don't do it, King Lee. Please...give him a second chance" I blurted perturbed.
He shrugged watching the dog run back to wherever it came from.
"I have 10 trained fighting dogs...He's just the one that's down with a virus" He muttered and I sniffed.
A tear had slid down my cheek.
He turned abruptly to me looking stupefied.
He maintained a straight face and came closer to me.
Unexpectedly, he raised his hand to my face and wiped off the tear.
"Are you alright?" He asked lowly and I nodded.
"I'm okay" I replied dollefully.
He clapped his hands together and smiled.
"Let's play a game" He grinned and before I could reply, he started towards the bedroom...

King Lee and I sat on the floor with our legs crossed.
Don't be surprised I agreed to this. King Lee is not someone you can say no to even when he gives you an option.
"What's the name of this game, your highness?" I asked dribbling with one of the elements of the game.
"Snakes and ladders" He replied and I nodded.
"I don't know how to play, your highness" I muttered and he smirked.
"I'll teach you about the game so don't worry about that" He said arranging something's on the floor.
"If you get into the snake icons, you'll do whatever I say" he bickered and I chuckled.
"I'm serious Anna and if I get into the snakes...what will you do to me?".
Hmmm.
"I don't know your highness" I replied nervously.
"Whatever ...the game must go on" he snickered.
Seriously???..
He told me things about the game and I got the hunch he didn't tell me everything.
We began playing the game and during the next rolling of the dice...He got into the snake pit and I guessed he did that on purpose.
"So, tell me Anna. What do you want,right now?" He asked perfunctorily.
What do I really want???
"You have five seconds to answer" He groused rolling his eyes.
My lips wavered not knowing what to say.
"I want you to withdraw your soldiers from their camps at Muzana" I muttered with a shaky voice.
