She paused to let what she just uncovered sink in.
What is she talking about??
"Why aren't you saying anything, Bethel? I'm talking about your daughter here..." She peeved with a scoff.
I cleared my throat and rubbed my hands nervously.
"When did you see her?" I asked in a flaccid tone.

"I saw her this morning walking into the mall. She...perhaps seemed to be alone.
"Geez! I'm sure its her. Just that...she has changed so much. Her dress was damn sheen and just too elegant. I dare couldn't appraoch her cause I was attending to customers".
I took in a long breath and released after some seconds.
"I hope she comes around again. I'll caution her for being such a bad child. Leaving her poor mother all alone to carter for herself. She deserves a death sentence!" She grunted unperturbed.
"Thank you for the information, Esther... I need to get some sleep so goodnight dear" I mumbled and shut the door in front of me not waiting for her to respond.

I couldn't suppress the tears that was starting to rush down my cheeks as memories of Dawn came flooding in.
Where did she go to? Why on earth did she leave me???
I don't remember doing something offensive to her.

Simone's pov
I was far into dreamland but woke up when the door opened and two maids walked in with a bow.
"Sorry to disturb you, my queen but you have a visitor" They both said simultaneously.
I didn't make a move but stare up at the ceiling.
Could it be King Lee? Was he here to know how the treatment went??
"The person may enter" I whispered and they bowed before walking out of the room.
I was still in pains but it wasn't much. It felt like the baby was uncomfortable and kept kicking.
My son must be very strong then..., Just this thought pulled a smile on my face.
The door opened again and I turned to it to see who just walked in.

"Good evening Simone" Princess Anna said with a light smile.
"What are you doing here??? Aren't you satisfied already after what you did to me??" I half yelled brimful of anger.
"Hey calm down Simone...
Yelling won't be good for your baby---"
"He is King Lee's son - heir apparent to the throne!" I cut in irascibly.
"I know that and nobody is dragging that title with you so can you stop bragging about that for a second???" She shot back rolling her eyes.
I kept mute relaxing back on the bed. I was starting to develop a headache.

"Why would I do that when we've never actually held grudges against each other? I barely know you and was nice to you the other day...so why should you believe what they tell you??
"It must be the people you've been telling that you'll give birth to a boy for the king. Their jealousy must have caused them to do this to you"
I was quiet through out her long boring speech - but she's right though. She's been nice to me and we've never argued for once.
"I never knew I would have enemies while telling them I was going to have a son" I muttered despondently.
She sighed and placed her hand on mine.
"Are you sore...do you need a massage?" She asked and my breath hitched.

Alicia's pov
I went into the King's chambers feeling exuberant and boisterous that no one stopped me.
The room smelt so great that I almost imagined it to be heaven. Its been so long since I stepped into this place.

I moved fully into the room gazing around. Just when I took another step, King Lee began walking into the room from his balcony.

He was in his black night robe and green glowing slippers that made his feet light up. He still had his earrings on and his hair weaved and tied.
"Good evening, your highness" I said with a bow as he walked past me to his bed.
He sat on it and removed his robe. I also removed mine leaving me in just my night dress.
I sashayed to where he was and tried getting on the bed but he stopped me.
