The Goddess Made A Mistake Again Chapter 477

Chapter 477: Chapter 477 – Run… But How? “It’s over.” Blind Monk said as he sighed quietly, “Give up now.” “Haha, give up? What are you going to do if I don’t?” Bone Man laughed, giving a challenging look. “If you don’t I will kil-” “Kill me? Not in a hundred years.” Bone Man tilted his head and looked into Blind Monk’s eyes, “I have fought here for many years and learned many things. Among them, I can guess who’s the real deal and who’s not… and you’re just a little lost pup.” Bone Man secretly prepared his finger for a shot, “My eyes can tell whether someone is a killer or not and you’re no- Argh!” Bone Man’s eyes widened as he felt something cold go through him. Looking down as blood slowly poured from his mouth, he found half of a katana’s blade coming out of his chest. “You might be right.” Blind Monk spoke, “But I will also do anything to protect my interests.” “Yo- You… damn…” Bone Man’s anger, quickly subdued as the energy in his body left. With that, the whole underground stage went quiet. Blind Monk pushed off his blade from the guy and looked up. Everyone in the crowd had a surprising look with their mouth half open. You couldn’t tell whether they would cheer for him or scream about ripping his head off. All of a sudden, a serious of slow claps sounded. Blind Monk looked towards the sound, to the Announcer. He couldn’t see what was happening but the announcer had a long grin on his face as his claps only became faster and faster, “WE HAVE OUR WINNER FOLKS!” “Why don’t we give out a round of claps for him?” With that word, as if a damn broke through, the audiences all got up and started screaming out loud. Less than half the stage in cheers as they held their betting tickets high in praise and the ones left screamed at Blind Monk, crushing the ticket in their hands. Some even threw their shoes and other things they could find at him, which were all blocked by the cage. They really did not like losing their not so hard earned money. “Don’t worry about them.” The Announcer’s voice came to his left as the guy straight up jumped inside. “They won’t do much… until they find out your identity.” The Announcer smiled as he looked at the red sash, “That is a cool way to cover your face. Tell me, does it really work?” Blind Monk’s face stared at him with resounding curiosity, “Aren’t you angry at me?” “Why would I be?” The guy tilted his head. “You lost money because of m-” Blind Monk couldn’t finish as the Announcer started laughing hysterically. “Oh, sorry, sorry.” The guy said as he wiped a tear, “I didn’t think that would be first thing you would ask and no, I’m not angry because I didn’t lose money.” He smiled like a shark, “You could even say I won a bit because of you.” “Ssshh! Don’t say it out loud.” The Announcer warned, “The guy’s here are really mad at losing their money, if they learn that I bet on you…” He shook his head, “Forget it, right now, something very important awaits.” The Announcer turned with a semi-surprised look, “So you did hear us.” “I don’t know and I don’t ask.” The Announcer shrugged, “My job is to just deliver and the rest is on you, pal.” “What if I don’t want to go.” Blind Monk said with such a quiet tone, it almost felt serious. Go through all of us?” The Announcer smiled as his hand found its way to Blind Monk’s shoulder, “Let’s say that you will, what next?” He spoke while taking Blind Monk with him, “You will kill maybe 25% of us or more if you’re lucky but that’s as far as you’re gonna go.” “You sure about that?” “It might seem tough talk while only being an announcer… but friend, I have been doing this for a long time. Do you think you’d be our first runner… and you won’t be the last.” “In fact, you may not even kill that many people with how you moved. It felt like I was watching a baby toddler with two swords, not that there’s anything wrong, I would actually like to see that one day.” The Announcer murmured his mind, “But the thing is, you’re new and you have no technique.” “You know how to dodge around and hit, but not at the right way or place.” The Guy patted his back, “It would be best for all of us, mostly you, to quietly listen to what the guy has to say before trying to run.” Blind Monk listened as he knew that the guy’s words were correct. He could kill a few, but luck would have to really be on his side if he wanted to escape from here. ‘I need to know what that person knows about me.’ Blind Monk quietly walked while hearing the chatter of the announcer beside him. The guy was just like his job, quite the talker. Or he got his job because of his personality. Blind Monk didn’t know if he should trust this guy. He acts like a good friend suddenly but his previous warning did not feel empty. ‘If he tried something, I could hit his neck with the elbow and quickly pull out the sword to grab him and use him to esca-‘ “Hey, Galiato, how’s it going pal?” The Announcer smiled nicely at a guard with big scowl before whispering, “Do not look at him, he lost a lot against you.” Blind Monk didn’t know what to say about him. In a few moments, they went up the stairs and walked a bit before stopping. Blind Monk heard a few thumps on a steel door and the announcer’s voice, “I’m here with the package.” “Sorry about that, matter of habit.” A few shuffles of a metallic lock and the door opened with a cringe. Blind Monk got inside but heard no voice from anyone, just the small breaths of two individuals and one, hurried. The hurried one spoke first, “You fought well, first a bit stupidly like most before turning into a monster… but that praise should go to the swords in your hands.” “If the boss hadn’t done so much for you, you’d likely be a cold one by now.” Barnical nodded and the announcer quickly moved to knee the back of Blind Monk. But the guy was faster and tried to wrestle out before putting the announcer on the ground and was about to choke him. Suddenly, both figure stopped moving as they got enveloped in a purple haze. Their stature froze in an uncanny matter. Barnical’s eyes widened, “What the?” Blind Monk tried very hard, but his figure was completely frozen inside the purple aura. But the purple haze went away in the next moment and both fell on the ground. “Barnical, get out.” Alice said as Barnical had a questioning look which turned to fear and got out. The guards took the fallen announcer and left quickly before closing the door. Blind Monk took a few deep breaths as he closed his eyes. He felt control return to him as he moved his hands and feet. It was a horrifying feeling. Losing all control of his body like that and not being able to move one bit. But his Captor didn’t mind that. “Hello, Mr. Blind Monk… or is it Jiro?”
