Chapter 482: Chapter 482 – Potonia’s Morning After
The Next Day, Late Morning, Inside the Large Drawing Room…
There were people working inside the room, mostly maids.
At one corner of the room, at the table with large glass windows to the side were a few maids. They were quietly talking to each other and giggling.
From their facial expressions, you could tell that something funny must have happened for them to behave like that.
One maid walked inside, saw them and went there.
“Did something happen?”
The other maids looked at her and they had a sarcastic smile. One of them said, “Look, it’s our new friend of the mansion.”
From their words, they meant that this maid belonged to the Tax Household. The maids giggling themselves were Potonia’s own maids.
“By the looks of it, you don’t know yet.”
“Do you want to find out?” The other two maid asked, almost baiting her.
The new maid thought for a moment, “Is it about Madam Potonia?”
The first one smiled, “You caught quickly… yes, it’s about her.”
Curiosity burned within the new one, not knowing new information was quite disturbing for a maid, especially one who was acting as a spy for another side as a spy/maid.
“Should we tell her?” The Potonia Maids giggled before signaling her to come closer.
The maid quickly went as their heads huddled together and whispered, “The Madam did not return last night.”
The new one raised a brow, “Isn’t that a bad thing? Shouldn’t we be looking for her then?”
The Potonia Maids almost burst at that, “Don’t you understand? She didn’t leave the mansion… but didn’t come back to her room.”
“To her room? Where could she have bee- Oh!” As if enlightenment striking her, the new maid understood what the Potonia Maids meant.
Madam Potonia had spent last night with Master Tax!
It was indeed an important event, one that she should have known of. But she didn’t.
The fault wasn’t with her. While the Potonia maids, belonging to Potonia, remained with her 24/7 and slept right next to her bedroom, the maids from the Tax Household didn’t.
The Maids and other workers had their own designated housings where they slept. It was a privilege that they gained working here, the housings were much better than any other household they had worked before.
One of which, the Potonia Maids felt angry about… but not on this occasion.
“Is she still there?”
“Most likely, we haven’t seen her anywhere around the mansion.” One of them said and had a curious look, “She gets up late, but not this late. Nothing… bad happened, right?”
As she asked that, all Potonia Maids turned towards the new one.
“Why are you all looking at me?”
“Your originally from here, so it wouldn’t be wrong if you went to Lord Henry’s room to check them.”
“Are you crazy?!” The Maid had a questioning look, “I’m not going there to see Madam and Lord Henry’s nake-… you are right, I should go.”
The Potonia Maids looked at her with deadpan expressions which ended quickly as two people arrived in a strange circumstance.
It was Potonia and Alice. The strange thing about them was that, Alice had Potonia’s arm over her shoulder as she brought her in.

Alice stopped as she looked at the maids.
“What are you gawking there for? Come help her!”
The four maids immediately went to them and carefully brought the injured Potonia to the table. Then a silence came.
“Where is my breakfast?” Potonia asked with a stern voice.
“Um… we didn’t know when you’ll be coming madam, so we coul-”
“Then stop standing there and go make it!”
The Maids all scurried out of her way and vanished as Alice and Potonia remained by the table.
“Wh- Where is he?” Potonia’s tone now took a sharp dive.
Last night was both a great and horrifying experience for her. The great thing was too much to explain and the horrifying was that she wanted more of it.
She had never been handled like that before and somehow, she needs it. She wants Henry’s arms to grab her and give it to her deep.
That’s what came to her mind right as she woke up. She thought of finding Henry’s body next to her and reminiscing about last night… but there was no one next to her.
Just a smiling Alice sitting right before the bed, looking at her.
“Probably one of his other women.” Alice said with an uncaring shrug.
Potonia’s face hardened at that.
She didn’t have feelings for her night companion but she couldn’t say it didn’t hurt to hear that.
“Is he always like that? So detached after… you know.”
“Sometimes yes.” Alice nods, “But his close to those that actually care for him.”
Alice smiled, “But you don’t have to worry about that, that’s not what you came for, is it?”
Potonia grind her teeth but couldn’t bring out to say anything.
Alice placed a small white vial as Potonia looked at it, “What is it?”
“It’s to help after.”
While Potonia’s morning started this way, the object of her thoughts was inside the capital, standing with a bouquet of black roses in front of Mansion 5 in Vistiria Road.
I knock on the door twice, like a normal person and waited.
There was no need for a secret knocking here. No one would come to this obviously abandoned place, and those that did, they mysteriously disappeared.
The door slightly opened with a creak and I smile at my second least favorite person.
“Hey there, Olenna. How have you been and by that, I meant let me in.”
Olenna quiet look like a reverend mother from a horror movie was OG. She didn’t really give a fuck about me or the situation regarding me with her master.
Olenna’s almost hollow eyes looked down at the bouquet, “That won’t save you.”
It seems I was wrong.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
Olenna said nothing and opened the door wider as I came in.
Before I could ask again, Olenna started walking and went up the stairs as I follow her. Olenna stopped before a red oak-wood door and turned to me, “No matter what… don’t agitate her more.”
I could only raise a brow at that.
The door opened slowly and a dark atmosphere spread out from inside.
Looking further, I see red strings like blood vessels connected in a spidery web all around the room. At the center of the place, a dark red long chair made from the same red vessels where Abigail sat.
Her figure completely entrancing, even more so as she wore a beautiful bright red dress that matched her hair.
Abigail seemed completely calm and had a zen smile as she carefully rubbed her stomach… it was quite big.
I could tell it was close.
“How is… he?” I knew that she knew I was here.
“Growing” Abigail said as she continued rubbing, “You don’t know how wonderful it is, Henry… to feel something alive growing inside me.”
“Yeah, I’d rather not feel that.”
“Haha…” She laughed and looked up to see the black roses, “Are those for us?”
“This are for the Mother of my Child.”
“Oh, that’s so sweet… did you forget that when you were charming that blond whore?”
